Chapter 503
Chapter 503 So Close
A moment later, with a squeal of the brakes, Brandon parked the Aston Martin at the entrance of the hospital.
He turned around and asked Finn, "Can you still walk? Do you need someone to carry you?"
Finn closed his eyes on purpose. "Stop pretending to be a good person. No one knows what trick you're playing. I won't go out."
Lilia was already angry. When she heard what Finn said, she was instantly furious.
"Finn, what are you trying to do? You hurt so much. I don't understand who you are angry with!"
Finn raised his eyes and looked at Lilia with exhaustion and pity. He muttered, "Lilia, I'm sorry for making you worry."
When Lilia heard this, her eyes became wet, and tears streamed down. She turned around and wiped away the tears with the
back of her hand.
Brandon said to Savanna who is sitting in the passenger's seat. "Keep an eye on him. I'll inform the medical staff."
After saying that, he got out of the car and locked the door. Then, he went to the on-duty spot to ask for help from the medical
staff.
Brandon was efficient. Two minutes later, he came back with four medical staff and a stretcher.
"Where is the patient?" The medical staff opened the car door and fixed their burning eyes on Finn.
"What's going on? You look so pale. Why are you only here now?"
Lilia got out of the car with red eyes and made way for the medical staff.
Two men in white coats grabbed Finn and dragged him out.
"Don't touch me. I'm fine!" Finn struggled.
"From your pale face, I can tell that you are seriously ill." One of the doctors frowned.
Hearing this, Lilia was instantly frightened. Her tears fell like beads.
"Doctor, is Finn really seriously ill? Can you save him? It doesn't matter how much money you spend, as long as you can cure
him."
"Miss, don't worry. It is our duty to save lives." The doctor forced the struggling Finn to the stretcher bed.
Two people pressed his hands and feet, and the other two quickly pushed him into the hospital.
Finn struggled more fiercely.
Even when he first found out that he had a terminal illness, he was not so scared. He was worried that Lilia would know that he
was dying.
He was afraid to see Lilia's frightened and desperate eyes.
Brandon followed the stretcher and met Finn's eyes from above. He couldn't help but mock Finn.
"Finn, it turns out you will also be like this. When you destroyed my marriage with Savanna, weren't you quite presumptuous?"
Finn glared fiercely at him. "If anything goes wrong today, you will live a hard life too."
Due to Lilia's presence, he did not make it clear, but Brandon was smart enough to understand what Finn meant.
"Don't talk big. Let's wait and see if you have the strength to deal with this mess." Brandon sneered.
Finn felt hopeless because doctors would not hide his illness from his family members.
After he was checked, the truth that he had concealed painstakingly for so long would immediately surface.
His head began to hurt sharply. He did not know how to solve it.
Before he got sick, Finn had always felt that he was born to be arrogant and omnipotent. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with
leukemia, and only then did he know how insignificant and incompetent the human was. In the face of the disease, he could only
wait, just like a lamb waiting to be killed.
The stretcher went all the way to the consulting room. The doctor was about to check on Finn, which made Finn despair.
"I'll do it."
Fortunately, there was a sound of footsteps not far away.
Finn opened his eyes and saw Darwin, who was wearing a casual suit and rushing over in a hurry.
The doctors on both sides of the bed Finn saw Darwin and greeted him politely, "Dr. Sharp."
"Don't you know who he is? Who allowed you to push Mr. Orwell to the ordinary ward? Hurry up and send him to the VIP room!"
Darwin scolded.
The two doctors then looked at the paled man on the bed.
If not for Darwin's reminder, they wouldn't have recognized the sickly person as the influential and majestic Finn, the third son of
the Orwell family.
"Mr. Orwell, I'm sorry. We failed to recognize you."
Darwin came. Finn finally felt relieved. He was so tired. He only wanted to close his eyes and take a good rest.
"Alright. Hurry up and send Mr. Orwell to the VIP room."
The two stunned doctors quickly pushed Finn out.
Darwin did not follow them immediately. He stopped and said a few more words.
"Ms. Parsons, don't worry too much. I usually look after Mr. Orwell. Nothing will happen."
Hearing that, Brandon felt amused and thought, why didn't I know before that Darwin was so loyal to Finn?
Lilia looked in the direction where Finn had been pushed away and nodded absentmindedly. "Dr. Sharp, please treat Finn
patiently."
"Don't worry, Ms. Parsons," Darwin replied.
Then, he turned around and stared at Brandon with a smile. "Mr. Cassel, thank you for sending Mr. Orwell to the hospital."
"It was nothing." Brandon put on a fake smile. "I was blind. I didn't notice that Dr. Sharp and Mr. Orwell were so close."
Darwin could hear the hidden meaning in his words, and the smile on his face froze. "Mr. Orwell is indebted to me. Without his
help, I wouldn't be who I am today. Mr. Cassel, please contact me directly if you encounter the same thing again."
Brandon stopped smiling and nodded coldly. "Let's wait until he can make it through."
Darwin immediately looked at Lilia nervously, afraid that she would find something wrong.
Fortunately, Lilia was worried about Finn's health. She was in a trance and did not find anything strange.
Finn's illness could not be delayed for too long. Darwin finished his instructions and quickly walked to the VIP room.
Brandon was almost done with his good deeds and did not want to stay in the hospital anymore. He turned to Savanna and said,
"Honey, the good deeds are finished. We should go home."
"Let's go. Our daughter is asleep." Savanna hugged Roya in her arms and patted her gently.
Brandon reached out to hold Savanna’s slender waist. They were about to leave when Lilia stopped them.
"Mr. Cassel, I want to talk to you."
