Chapter 486
Chapter 486
When they got home, it was already late at night.
Lizeth had not slept yet. With a light on, she had been waiting in the living room.
When she heard the sound of a car outside, she immediately rushed out.
"Savanna, are you alright?"
Savanna shook her head. "I'm fine.
Fortunately, Brandon got there in time. That person didn't do anything to me.'
Speaking of that person, Lizeth immediately got confused, "Why is there someone who looks exactly the same as Mr. Cassel? What is going on?"
Savanna looked at Brandon probingly. She only knew that the person was called Mr.
Orwell, and only Brandon knew the specific situation.
"He is from the Orwell family," Brandon subconsciously frowned. "As for why we look alike, it should be a coincidence."
Yet, how could there be so many coincidences in the world?
Savanna guessed reasonably, "Why do I feel like you two are brothers? He seems to be quite rich, so I don't think he would deliberately make his face look like yours by having plastic surgery." Brandon had guessed this before, but he didn't want to get involved in the conflict of the rich family again.
Now, all he wanted to do was to treat his illness and live a good life with his beloved woman and his son and daughter.
"Savanna, you've thought too much. How can I be a member of the Orwell family?"
Brandon chuckled and wanted to caress the messy hair of the person beside him.
Yet, Savanna took a step back and deliberately dodged that.
Brandon's hand hung in the air awkwardly.
There was a moment of silence.
Savanna also felt embarrassed and quickly changed the topic. She turned to ask Lizeth, "Where is Roya? Is she okay?"
"She is already asleep, but before she went to bed, she kept crying and asking for you."
When Savanna heard this, she couldn't hold back her feelings anymore. She felt a sharp pain in her heart and went upstairs. She arrived at Roya's room and found that Roya was sleeping soundly on her bed with closed eyes and trembling eyelashes.
Under the gentle light, the baby girl's skin was as smooth as a pearl, and her small arms and legs were as like newly dug lotus roots.
The saddest thing was that Roya fell asleep with the clothes that Savanna had worn in her arms. She was tightly gripping the clothes. Clearly, Roya missed her mother very much.
Savanna leaned over the baby bed and reached out to gently stroke her daughter's hair with gentle eyes.
Brandon walked in with light footsteps.
"How is Roya?"
Savanna turned her head and shushed him, gesturing for him to disturb the child. Brandon immediately took the hint and said in a low voice, "Then shall we go out?"
"Alright." Savanna tucked Roya in and then got out of the room with Brandon. The light in the nursery was very gentle.
Brandon turned around and found that the woman behind him was shrouded in soft light, appearing gentle and refined. The two of them hadn't gotten along so peacefully for a long time. Brandon urgently wanted to have intimate contact with her. For example, he wanted to kiss or hug her.
His body reacted faster than his brain. By the time he reacted, he had already reached out to hold her hand.
He accurately reached the woman's delicate little hand. Her smooth skin was like a peeled egg.
Savanna was suddenly touched and hurriedly wanted to take back her hand as if getting an electric shock.
However, before she could completely withdraw her hand, her hand was tightly wrapped up by the man's large hand.
"Let me go. Let..." Savanna struggled and unhappily asked him to let go.
However, Brandon stretched out his other empty hand and pressed his index finger against her lips. "Shh, be careful not to wake Roya up."
Savanna immediately did not dare to speak and let a complacent man lead her out of the nursery.
Their hands clenched tightly. When he opened the door and went out, Brandon turned his hand back and deliberately put his fingers between the woman's fingers. Savanna could not break free at all. They just went across the corridor holding hands until Brandon opened the bedroom door.
"What are you doing?"
"Let's have a talk." Brandon acted like a gentleman.
Savanna pointed to a door beside him. "This is the study."
Brandon had no choice but to push open the study door with an unhappy face.
Then, he turned on the light.
Brandon stubbornly took Savanna into the study and then the two sat on the sofa together.
"Savanna, we won't divorce."
"Why?" Savanna no longer struggled. Her fingers were held by him. She could feel the heat of Brandon.
Her iron heart also became soft gradually.
"Because the children need a complete home, and I need you," Brandon said sincerely, "Do you know what I was thinking when I heard you were taken away?" "What were you thinking?"
"I was thinking I must save you even at the cost of my life because if you died, my life would be meaningless."
When the man said this, his eyes were full of affection.
His eyes were so deeply affectionate. Savanna tilted her head, not daring to
look at him, "Brandon, I'm also torn now."
She had been determined to leave him, but as he risked his life to rescue her, she couldn't help wavering again.
"Savanna, give us another chance. Can you trust me?"
Brandon, an arrogant man, was extremely humble now.
If he wanted to keep Savanna, he had no other choice but to plead.
"Promise me one last time and give me one last chance, okay?" he said impatiently.
At this point, Savanna finally nodded, "Then let's try again. If it still can't work out, we're fated to part then."
"No. No one can separate us." Brandon reached out and pulled the woman into his arms.
The heat of the man's chest emitted a familiar cold pine wood fragrance.
Savanna smelled the scent of his body and felt secure. She didn't actually mean those heartless words she uttered. In fact, she couldn't let him go either. Neither of them could let go of the relationship. Hopefully, this time, things could work out for them.
After making peace with Savanna, Brandon ran to the hospital more frequently.
He was eager to cure the illness and then live with his beloved healthily.
People were in high spirits when involved in happy events. So, Brandon also got well quickly. As the new result of the examination came out, the doctor arched his eyebrows in surprise.
"Mr. Cassel, your condition has improved a lot this time."
"Really?" Brandon was as happy as a child.
"If this continues, you will recover very soon," Emerson said in delight.
Brandon sat there with unspeakable excitement.
He had just got off on the wrong foot with
Savanna, and his illness was about to recover. Everything was getting better.
Brandon walked out of the hospital with cheerful steps and received a call. The caller was Finn, who had disappeared for half a month
