Chapter 44
Chapter 44
Winnie lived here.
If he didn't love her, why would he buy her this villa?
Winnie was chased out of the Cassel's house by Giselle. Brandon let her live there.
"Bran..."
Winnie paused.
When she saw Savanna's face, Winnie's smile froze on her face. Winnie seemed to be shocked. She
thought that Brandon, who went out to buy her a thermos, had returned. She did not expect that Savanna would come.
Savanna did not want to talk to her. Her cold eyes glanced at Winnie's broken legs under the blanket. Then Savanna looked away. She reached out and pushed the door open. She walked past Winnie's wheelchair.
"Ms. Landis, your legs hurt. Just let me open the door."
The maid came out of the kitchen and saw that there was a female figure at the entrance of the living room. The woman had a cold expression on her face, and the aura around her was terrifying. The maid did not dare to speak anymore. She walked over and quickly pushed Winnie in.
"Savanna, what are you doing here?" Winnie asked.
Winnie was excited and opened the door regardless of the pain in her legs. Savanna knew that Brandon must have gone out.
She smiled and replied, "Of course, I'm not here to visit you. I want to see Brandon. Where is he?"
Hearing that Savanna was here for Brandon, Winnie frowned. "He went out to buy something for me."
As soon as Winnie finished her words, footsteps came from the door.
Savanna lifted her eyes. She saw Brandon bending over to take off his shoes at the entrance. He changed into his slippers and walked in. The moment he saw Savanna, he paused slightly. There was not the slightest bit of surprise in his eyes, as if he had known that Savanna would come.
Brandon withdrew his gaze and looked at Winnie. He said to Winnie, "Winnie, there was only one left in the supermarket. Fortunately, I was fast."
Thank you, Brandon."
Winnie took the thermos and handed it to the maid, who quickly took it to charge.
Winnie's sweet voice was like a sharp sword that pierced deeply into Savanna's chest.
If she had known that Winnie lived here, Savanna would not have come.
"It's fine, Winnie. If there's anything you need, tell me. After all, you are pregnant now." Somehow, Brandon was especially enthusiastic about Winnie today
Winnie felt his enthusiasm and responded to the man she loved warmly.
"You're so good to the baby. The baby will definitely love you, Brandon."
Winnie's voice was affected, but Brandon seemed to be very pleased. He said, "Winnie, you seem to be very tired. Should I carry you upstairs so that you can rest for a while?"
"Sure!"
Winnie was very cooperative.
Brandon picked up Winnie and walked upstairs. Savanna could not help but look at them. Probably on purpose, Winnie reached out and wrapped her arms around Brandon's waist tightly, her lips almost touching Brandon's Adam's apple. This posture made Savanna suddenly think of the photo that Winnie sent her.
Savanna clenched her fingers. She tried to restrain her emotions. She was afraid that she would lose her mind and rush up to pull Winnie out of Brandon's arms.
A few minutes later, Brandon went down the stairs.
On his handsome face, there were vague red marks.
"Tell me, what do you want?"
Brandon lit a cigarette with the lighter.
Savanna went straight to the point. "Why did you find someone to hit Leo?"
Brandon paused slightly when he heard this as if he could not believe his ears. Then, he asked, "You think I did that?"
"Yes." A clear voice came out of Savanna's lips.
Brandon took a puff of his cigarette and suppressed the excitement surging in his chest. He tried his
best to calm himself down. "Savanna, am I a bad man in your heart?"
Savanna did not say anything,
Her silence hurt Brandon a lot.
There seemed to be sparks in his deep eyes, and his lips curved into a cold smile.
"Let me tell you, Savanna. If I had wanted to deal with Leo, he would have died."
Brandon had the urge to tear Leo to shreds after he knew that Leo asked Gordon to help Savanna behind his back. However, it was just an impulse. From the beginning to the end, Brandon did not do anything to Leo.
"Didn't you do anything about Gordon?"
Savanna did not intend to let Brandon off, so, she asked sharply.
Brandon looked at her in surprise.
"I know that you hate me for having an abortion. But now, Winnie carries your baby. Brandon, if you love her, you should live a happy life with her. Why do you push me like this? Do you just want me to listen to you because you can't accept the fact that I was no longer obedient? Brandon, I will listen to you. Please let Gordon off."
Brandon stared at Savanna's eyes. His eyes gradually turned slightly red. He took a swallow, and he asked, "Is that what you think?"
She felt that he forced her to listen to him.
It was only because he couldn't accept the fact.
"Am I wrong?" Savanna asked.
Brandon turned his face, and his eyes turned scarlet. "Scram."
He squeezed out a single word from his throat.
"Leo is still in the ICU. If he can't wake up, Brandon, I will make you pay the price."
Savanna left.
Brandon slowly turned his head and opened his red eyes.
It was the first time that Brandon had been wronged.
His heart ached, making it hard for him to breathe.
In the afternoon, Jim appeared in Leo's ICU with a group of top medical teams. After an hour, Leo woke up
Not long after Leowoke up, Gordon came.
Savanna was shocked to see Gordon, but she walked away to let Gordon and Leo talk.
Hearing Gordon's voice, Leo struggled to open his eyes. The moment he saw Gordon, Leo was so excited that his lips trembled. Gordon reached out his hand and held onto the hand that Leo raised. The two hands held each other tightly.
Gordon said, "Leo, I misunderstood you. We will still be good buddies."
The sound of the door closing came from behind. Gordon glanced at Savanna, who went out, and said, "Leo, I thought that she was your girlfriend. I didn't expect..."
Gordon did not expect Savanna to be Brandon's woman.
In Gordon's heart, Leo was just dragged down.
Gordon knew that he could not afford to provoke Brandon, but he had his own dignity. Gordon wouldn't let it go like this.
It would take a long time for him to do something.
After knowing that Savanna was Brandon's woman, Gordon did not dare to introduce clients to Savanna. He did not even dare to associate with Savanna. The Thompson Group was asked to pay the debts that it owed the Nelson Bank.
Savanna's belly gradually became larger, and it was a little difficult for her to work.
She knew that if she continued to stay in New York, she would inevitably meet Brandon or the people around him, such as Jim.
If Brandon knew that she didn't have an abortion, he would definitely continue to pester her.
Although she was concerned about the Thompson Group, which was about to close down, she had to find a place to give birth to the child secretly.
Therefore, Savanna hastily got her work done and left Justin in charge of the company. She bought a plane ticket and secretly flew to Ireland.
A week later, in Ireland,
Savanna sat alone by the corridor of the design institute, looking at the handsome men coming and going outside. Suddenly, a handsome face came into her sight. It was Brandon.
