Love Comes To Me

Chapter 398: Being a son-in-law to someone else

The two went out and did not return until it was dark, Solomon hugged Eloise tightly when he saw her and did not let go.

...

Two days had passed and Hector hadn't visited Rupert for the past two days, although he knew that Aisly was looking after him in the hospital, but he wasn't quite sure how to feel about it. "Eloise, let's go and see Rupert today." Hector closed the financial statement in his hand and said to Eloise who was reading a book on the side.

Eloise was reading something exciting at the moment, and when she heard him say that, she just gave a vague "hmm".

Hector shook his head and went back to reading the contract in his hand.

Finally finished with the task at hand, Hector went over and gently took Eloise around the waist and whispered in her ear, "It's time to get off work, silly."

Eloise scowled as he blew on her ear, then said, "Go home then, don't blow on her like that, it tickles."

But Hector wasn't about to let her go and instead questioned, "What did I just say I was going to take you to after work? Hmm?"

Eloise couldn't remember, so she pretended she didn't know anything and blinked at Hector.

Hector was tormented by her look and had no choice but to scratch her nose and sigh, "You, you're really giving me no choice."

This doting tone and intimate gesture made even Eloise's heart warm.

After speaking, Hector took Eloise's hand and went out. Although she didn't know where he was taking her, somehow her heart was always at ease.

She didn't know where he was taking her, but somehow she felt reassured. Hector took her home anyway, and then came back out with a few things from Hector's mother.

It was only when she reached the hospital door that Eloise responded, a little embarrassed, "So you came to see Rupert, I'd almost forgotten about that." Hector looked at her and said seriously, "You've forgotten."

...

That was true, who let her not take it to heart at the time.

When they reached the door of the ward, Hector stopped suddenly, and Eloise, who was following behind, looked puzzled and said softly, "What's wrong?"

Hector smiled without saying anything and pointed directly inside the ward, indicating that she should go and see for herself.

Eloise took a step forward, an angle that just allowed her to see inside.

There was only Rupert, naked and lying on his back on the bed, while Aisly was administering his medication.

They looked at each other, knowing full well that this Rupert, despite his injuries, seemed to be enjoying his time in hospital.

Rupert was screaming in pain, but as he did so, his voice suddenly became more soulful.

Aisly had been applying the medicine to him, but when she heard him scream, she couldn't keep her hands on him and said, "Can you stop making that noise? It makes people think I'm doing something." After saying this, she was even more embarrassed and her whole face turned red, right up to the roots of her ears, becoming a veritable blush.

But Mr Rupert, who was lying on the bed, looked as if he was afraid of the world and said innocently, "You have a point, but I'm in pain, I can't help myself."

Just as Aisly was about to drop the medicine and leave, Eloise outside the door couldn't help but laugh out loud.

This action startled the two people inside the ward and hurriedly turned their heads to look at the couple at the same time.

Aisly was already embarrassed by Rupert's shouting, but she didn't expect there to be anyone else outside the door, so she couldn't wait to find a crack in the ground.

Eloise, the culprit, took two steps forward, opened the door and walked in.

As she walked past, she could see the wounds on Rupert's body, only to see the shocking wounds on his back, which made people's hearts tighten.

Eloise couldn't help but say, "That's serious, if it heals, it's going to leave a scar."

When she said that, Rupert nodded in agreement, "Yes, my brother will have to support me for the rest of my life if I don't find a wife."

Eloise was going to say that even if he did, it wouldn't matter, the Rogers Group was so big that they could pay for your life.

But before she could say anything, she heard Hector say, "If I can't get a wife, I'll give her to someone else as a son-in-law, but my face is not disfigured, so I can still cheat on people." Eloise had known that Hector was a vicious talker, but what she hadn't expected was that this man would even dislike his own brother so much.

Rupert smacked his lips, "Brother, that's a bit harsh, I can't eat much, you're just abandoning your handsome brother like that."

At this Hector looked at him with an expression of "please show your face" and looked at him quietly.

Eloise, however, seemed to have found a topic of conversation and seized the opportunity to joke to Aisly, "Aisly, Hector doesn't want him, will your family take him as a son-in-law?" Aisly thought the couple had already changed the subject, but she never expected it to come back to her, and with a blush on her face, she said, "No, I don't want him." And then she ran away. Hector stretched his hands, "I guess I overestimated you. I thought you would be accepted as a son-in-law, but now it seems that no one wants you as a son-in-law."

I don't know if Rupert heard him or not, but the ward only echoed with Rupert's shouting, "Aisly, finish your medicine before you run away."

But no matter how much he screamed, no sound came from Aisly.

Eloise shook her head, these two were a happy couple.

Rupert turned his attention to Hector, as if to ask him to help with the medication.

Before Hector could say anything, Eloise was busy saying, "Let's have something to eat before we put it on."

Hector bustled over and helped Rupert to his feet so he could sit and eat a good meal.

Eloise took out the contents and only when she opened the lid did it all become clear to her that the food did not look like the maid's cooking, but rather like Hector's mother's. She now understood why Hector had to take her back to the house.

Eloise poured out some soup and handed it to Rupert, "Drink it while it's hot, it's all made by Mum."

After all, it was made by his mother's hands, so Rupert ate it up and finished it all.

When he had finished eating, Hector took Eloise's hand and said to Rupert, "We'll go back then, so you can take your medicine."

Rupert was about to say, "Who's going to medicate me while you're gone, when Aisly appeared a short while later.

It turned out that Hector had asked Aisly to come over before he left.

Rupert had to lie down and wait for her to continue applying the medicine.
