Love Comes To Me

Chapter 331: Not to be taken lightly

Ouch!

Eloise sucked in a backwards breath, her entire palm on fire and tingling for a moment.

The slap really took all the strength she could muster.

Her hands hurt, and the other person must not feel good either.

The fat woman felt her whole ear boom and her cheek hurt so much she could no longer feel it.

It took her a few moments to react and she lunged at Eloise in hysterics and madness, "How dare you hit me, woman, are you tired of living?"

Solomon came out after changing and saw someone trying to hit Eloise and rushed up, "Don't hit my mummy!"

The fat woman had long since turned red and as soon as Solomon ran over, she kicked her way through, "Get the hell out of my way."

Solomon was still so small that he was kicked far away in one fell swoop and landed heavily on the ground.

"Solomon!"

Eloise turned instantly pale and ran screaming.

Solomon lies on the ground, motionless.

"Solomon ..." She didn't dare move him for fear he'd fallen somewhere and couldn't be touched.

Someone rushed to help call an ambulance.

And the fat woman didn't even realize she had done anything wrong and yelled in triumph, "You deserve it! That's what you get for not apologising!"

At these words, Eloise squeezed her palms together, her eyes flushed with anger.

"I'm warning you, you better go around when you see us in the future or I'll fix you every time I see you."

Eloise stood up slowly and turned, her warmthless gaze directed at the fat woman.

The temperature around her went down with a whoosh, and everyone, including the fat woman, felt the cold aura emanating from her body. Cold to the bone.

Everyone winced.

When the fat woman saw her like this, she was a little scared, but her mouth still screamed, "Don't think I'm afraid of you just because you're like this!" Eloise stared at her deadpan, "I don't want to do it because I'm afraid of becoming like you and I'm too disgusted."

The words angered the fat woman again, "Bitch, I'm going to rip you apart you!"

Several shoppers rushed up to stop her, and someone spoke out to advise, "Madam, calm down, don't do it again."

The fat woman's son was crying out in fear, but no one went over to coax him because he was so obnoxious.

Eloise looked at the fat woman stopped by the guide and took out her mobile phone to dial a number.

"I want to call the police, this is XX Mall ..."

Solomon was taken to hospital by the arriving ambulance, while the fat woman was taken away by the police.

Before he left, he even shouted, "Do you think it's useful to call the police? I'll show you with practical action that it's useless!"

Eloise ignored it and went straight to the ambulance.

After a doctor's examination, Solomon was not seriously injured, but the fat woman had kicked him so hard that he was bruised on his shoulder. "Luckily it's just a contusion and the bones are fine."

Eloise looked distressed at Solomon in the hospital bed and asked, "So how come he's passed out?"

"This... should be painfully dizzy."

So that's what it's all about.

Eloise sighed with relief and she thanked the doctor.

After the doctor left, she rushed to call Hector.

"Hector, are you done yet, something's happened to Solomon."

...

Hector was picking out a present for Eloise when he got the call.

He wanted to surprise her, so he left on the pretext that he had something to do, while in fact he went to the jewellery section of the mall to pick out a gift for her. "Something's happened to Solomon."

Eloise's anxious voice on the other side of the phone came through and Hector jerked to his feet, "What's happening?"

Eloise gave him an overview of what had happened and when he finished, his face turned hard and he said "I'll be right there" and hung up the phone.

He couldn't care less about the gift and turned around and headed out.

Seeing this, the teller became anxious and hurriedly shouted, "Sir, do you still want this necklace?"

At those words, Hector took a step and whirled around to walk back to the counter, "Wrap it up."

Eloise sat on the edge of the bed, her gaze locked on Solomon's baby face, her eyes full of heartache and self-recrimination.

Blame it on her.

If she had stepped back and given the fat woman an apology, perhaps Solomon would not have been hurt.

But there are no ifs in this world.

A sigh escaped her lips as she reached up and brushed Solomon's forehead.

It is true that one should not try to be a hero, otherwise one will suffer.

Hector arrived at the hospital and saw Solomon lying in a hospital bed, his sword brow furrowed hard and his gaze unusually deep and dark. "Hector," Eloise called in a small voice.

Hector turned his head and looked at her, "You're okay?"

"I'm fine."

Eloise bowed her head, "I'm sorry I didn't take care of Solomon."

She took the blame for her mistake again.

Hector sighed softly, "Eloise, it's not your fault, you don't have to blame yourself."

Although he didn't blame her, she couldn't get past that point in her own mind.

Solomon was in her care when something happened to him and she has an unshirkable responsibility.

"Well, don't waffle to yourself." Hector patted her on the shoulder, then walked over to check on Solomon.

Solomon looked as if he was asleep, no different from his usual sleep.

"What did the doctor say?"

"It's just a contusion, it didn't break any bones."

"Kicked to where?"

"Over the shoulder."

Eloise undid Solomon's shirt and pulled it down, revealing a large bruise on his left shoulder.

Hector frowned hard, even an adult would be uncomfortable with such a bruise, let alone a child.

"I shouldn't have gotten into a confrontation with that woman then. It's my fault for being so impulsive."

Eloise hated the fact that the fat woman's kick was on herself.

"What about the woman?" Hector asked, his eyes dark and heavy, like the calm before a storm.

"At the police station."

Hector called Thomas and put him in charge of this one, making sure not to take it lightly.

"Mummy!"

Solomon in the hospital bed suddenly made shrill sound that startled the two adults present.

"Solomon," Eloise rushed up to her, only to see Solomon wake up crying, freezing at the sight of her, and then reacting by crying harder. "Mummy, I'm so scared!"

Eloise rushed to hug him, her eyes also red, her voice choked with sobs as she coaxed, "Solomon is not afraid, it's okay, Mummy is here, don't be afraid. In her arms, Solomon's cries grew smaller and smaller until they stopped.

"Solomon be good, let's not cry." Eloise gently wiped the tear stains off his cheeks.

Solomon sniffled and asked, "Mummy, are you all right?"

"Mummy's fine." Eloise gently stroked his little face and whispered, "Our Solomon is so brave, he knows how to protect his mummy."

Solomon glanced at Rupert next to her and then said, "Daddy said I'm the man to protect Mummy."
