Chapter 740 Flying To London Again! (Part Three)
"Oh? Is that so?" Appearing to be deep in thought, he observed Molly's reaction. When he saw that she was nervous, he let out a loud laugh. "You are so gullible!" Just when Molly's patience was on the verge of reaching its limits, he spoke again. "Molly, even if Brian didn't lose his memory, you can't be with him forever." "What do you mean?" Molly asked, alarmed. The man had hit a nerve with his statement, causing her to be on edge more than usual. The last thing she wanted to hear now was someone telling her that she could not be with Brian.
Regardless of the look she threw at him, Victor kept walking, slowly taking off his gloves. "Brian's world is full of excitement and blood. You, however, are too pure, too clean. If you stay by his side, sooner or later you will leave for a variety of reasons. And the reasons..." He paused, his eyes boring deeply into hers. "Include your death." Deeply shocked, she looked at Victor with wide eyes. She opened her mouth in an attempt to say something.
But no words left her mouth. She had been with Brian twice. Put together, the entire time would not even be more than a year. Nevertheless, how many dangers had they overcome?
"I suppose I just want to ask you now, Molly," Victor's eyes suddenly darkened as he spoke. "Do you love Brian?"
Regaining her composure, she looked at Victor and nodded solemnly. "I do love him!" she replied.
"And would you do anything for him?" Victor questioned her.
"Yes!" Molly answered firmly, in a heartbeat.
"If there is the slightest chance that you can come back to his side..." As Victor's voice changed completely, he raised his long fingers and grabbed her by the chin, compelling her to come closer. "On the condition that you offer your body... would you do it?" Astonished, Molly stared at him for a long time. Finally, she spoke, emphasizing each word carefully, "I don't want to." Just as Victor frowned at her answer, she gritted her teeth and continued to speak, "If I ever return to him in that way, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. As for him..." She paused for a bit, and then continued, "The man who hasn't forgotten me will not forgive himself." Victor looked straight at Molly, wearing a small smile.
Slowly loosening his hand which held Molly's chin, he said, "I don't know if Brian's really suffering from Amnesia, but I do know one thing. There was no way to get you out of his life. If that's still the case, then I think... It's about time for you to take the initiative." "What do you think I should do?"
Molly asked, looking at him. "It's very simple."
No longer hostile like earlier, he wore an elegant smile again. "In order to stand by his side, you need to make yourself be stronger without letting him worry about you. You need to make yourself... qualified enough to negotiate with him." Slowly, he looked away, focusing his eyes into the far background and said, "Molly, a firm love is hard to win. Don't give up so easily," She looked at the prince, suddenly catching a faint hint of sadness in his voice.
"I'll give you one night to think about it." Then turning to look at her, he added, "If you really want to make your efforts come to fruition, you will have to listen to me and accept all the training. Even if it'll make you miserable, even when it gets unbearable. If you have any hesitation, I'll arrange a place for Addison and you in London, and help you find a suitable job. After that, both of you can live in peace. Doing this, can also be called a favor for Brian."
"There's no need to consider," Molly said. Although Molly didn't know what Victor was rambling about, she had only one faith, and it was that she wanted to go back to Brian's side. "Mark and I, our lives aren't perfect without Brian."
"Are you sure?" Victor persisted. "I couldn't be more sure!" exclaimed Molly, losing her temper.
"A lot of things don't work out just because you have faith in them. The process will be extremely painful, and the results don't guarantee that you will get back to him.
After all, he still supposedly lost his memory." Then he told her the worst outcome that could possibly happen, "Without it, he won't remember you. And all your efforts would have been for nothing." "Some roads once taken, may be hard and exhausting,"
Molly said, determined. "But... If I don't take it, I'm a hundred percent sure that I'll regret it for the rest of my life." Meanwhile, her mind was racing with so many thoughts. 'There was a time when he did so much for me. Why shouldn't I do the same for him? I love him. And even if the worst thing happens, and all my efforts end up in vain, then I would just have to bear it! For Brian.'
*As Ling parked the Hummer in front of the Royal castle's front entrance, he saw Alan walking towards her. Jumping out of the car, she asked, "Where's the Prince?"
"At the racetrack." Observing Ling's choice of sexy outfit, Alan shook his head discreetly.
Ling looked at the racetrack not too far away. "I'm going to report to the Prince now," With that, she ran away, giving Alan no time to say anything to her.
When Ling reached the racetrack, she finally saw Victor's broad back. About to shout his name to get his attention, she noticed, for the first time, a figure of a woman before the Prince. Unable to suppress her disdain, she murmured to herself, "Is this woman the Prince's new love, I wonder?" Just as soon as the words escaped her mouth, Victor moved forward and exposed the identity of the mysterious woman. It was Molly Xia.
Gasping, Ling choked on her own saliva. Just as she did earlier in the airport, she ended up instinctively hiding again from Molly's sight. After she had gotten over the initial shock, she peered furtively to confirm what she saw. When she was certain that it was indeed Molly, she grimaced and thought, 'How come Molly's with the Prince right now? Did the Prince tell her that Mr. Brian Long faked his Amnesia? Oh my God!' She put a hand over her mouth, beginning to panic. 'If he had told her, why did I have to work so hard to play the act with Brian?' With these negative thoughts betraying her, Ling grew furious.
Taking out her phone, she dialed the Prince's number. She had to find out what was going on.
Before answering the phone, Victor excused himself from Molly. On the phone came the irate voice of Ling through gritted teeth. The corner of his lips raised a bit in amusement. "Of course. I don't break promises."
"Then why did you bring Molly to your place?" Ling asked, both angry and puzzled. Then, rolling her eyes, she ranted, "Prince, you really need to be more understanding with your subordinates. Particularly when they have been working so hard to appease your needs." The smile on Victor's face grew wider. "What? Do you not trust me?"
"Oh my God!" For the umpteenth time that day, Ling rolled her eyes again, unable to stand Victor's attitude any longer. "Prince, how can you think that?"
Turning around to look at Molly, he said on the phone, "Notify the other four. I want them to report to me in the evening."
"As you wish, Prince," Ling said respectfully, withdrawing her whiny attitude at the sound of his familiar authoritative tone.
After Ling hung up the phone, she secretly stared at Molly from afar. She wore a dark, pensive look, her mouth murmuring her overt displeasure.
When she walked away, Victor shook his head at the sight helplessly, and returned his attention to the oblivious Molly. "You can rest for now," he said casually. "Because starting tomorrow," he paused as the corner of his lips turned into a wicked smile. "You will enjoy a completely different life."00000000000000
