Chapter 1221 Extra Story 111 of Charlie Trick
"Charlie, are you ill?" The professor was worried as he saw that Charlie covered his face so tightly with a surgical mask and a cap.
"Yes, professor. I've caught a cold. For fear of infecting others, I wear a surgical mask and a baseball hat," facing the professor this time, Charlie replied elegantly like a gentleman. The professor felt comfortable to listen to him at his show of noble respect towards him. With his eyebrows knitted, he asked again with concern, "Have you gone to see a doctor? Your illness would become serious if you don't pay much attention to it." "I've just come back from the hospital,"
with a slight bow, Charlie replied smilingly and thankfully. After pausing for a little while, he continued, "I found that Elsa's class was almost over, so I came here to have a look."
It was not until this moment that the professor noticed and thought of Elsa. Instead of treating Elsa kindly in the same way as he did to Charlie, the professor gave her a cold shoulder and rebuked her, "Be attentive in class in the future. Don't sleep all day long. Since you are always with Charlie, you should learn from him. Hmm. Just sleep as you wish in my class if you are almost as clever as him." As soon as the professor finished his words, he angrily kept his eyes off Elsa and switched his attention to Charlie. Then, he bid farewell to Charlie and walked away.
"He is so unfair. As a teacher, the professor treats his students impartially, which misleads and causes harm to his students," Elsa complained after the professor left, as she was not only upset to have been tricked by Charlie for having disguised himself that way, but also scolded by the professor so rudely in front of Charlie. Now, she was really in low spirits. As a consequence, she was filled with great anger that she looked sideways at Charlie and continued, "I feel overburdened to be with you, so I think I have to reconsider carefully if I want to be with you or not in the future," Elsa said while walking towards the staircases.
Confused whether she meant her word or not, Charlie got speechless. His mouth was twitching on a non-stop basis, perhaps because he felt pain at the corners of his mouth or he was upset to have heard those distressful words from Elsa. Fixating his gaze on Elsa, he shook his head hard as though he was bothered by something serious. Subsequently, with both hands inside his pockets, he couldn't help smiling at something he thought and walked towards the staircases behind Elsa.
"When do you plan to ask for leave?" Charlie asked, breaking the silence.
Still annoyed at what had happened, Elsa questioned back very innocently, "Why should I ask for leave?"
As she dropped this question, Charlie was firstly put in a daze. Soon afterward, he stated, "You've promised me. I can show you the messages as shreds of evidence."
With an indifferent look, Elsa responded, "The fact is that somebody didn't strictly follow the rules."
"But you didn't state that I shouldn't come here by disguising myself." Charlie took what he had done for granted, and a moment later, he insisted, "I have the messages as proofs." While saying that, he took his cellphone out of his bag, slid the touchscreen and said, "You only asked me to come here to keep you company before the class was over!"
"You...you are shameless!" Pissed at him, Elsa said very angrily. As they came to the exit of the staircase, she stared at Charlie who looked indifferent to all that she had said. Coincidentally, the sunlight was shining upon the corners of his eyes through the glass window. Under the sunlight, Elsa noticed the bruises beside his eyes, and thus she said, "Put your mask off. I want to see how bad your bruises are."
Looking at the worried Little Bun, Charlie put his hands out of the pockets of his trousers. Immediately, he took her by her little hand, continued walking down the stairs and said, "I will show you later." To a certain extent, he was teasing Elsa. "By the way, haven't you realized that you were just angry with me, but forgot to care if I was hurt seriously? So far, over half an hour has passed by, and it is not until now that you've recalled I was wounded." He intentionally heaved a heavy sigh and added, "My heart is nearly broken." Realizing that he was correct, Elsa fell silent upon hearing the words. As Charlie took her by her hand, she didn't resist at all, but when she heard those words from Charlie's mouth, her mouth twitched, and she said, "Don't beat around the bush if you've got something to say."
"Hmm," Charlie chided as he paused. Looking at Elsa very seriously, he continued, "You've become clever."
Pulling her hands free from his grasp, Elsa pouted and said with anger, "Last night, you told me that you were okay. And you also told me not to worry about you. But today, I even found that your wounds were severer. You asked for it." Although Elsa said that way as if she didn't care about him at all, deep inside, she felt a lump in her throat.
Looking at this Little Bun who pretended to be composed, Charlie was suddenly overwhelmed by her concern and remorse. In a hurry, he replied, "Yes, yes, you are right. I asked for it. I assure you that I will not do anything like that again."
"Hmm, I don't believe you," crossing her arms in her chest, Elsa muttered, inclining her head to one side.
Looking at how childish she was, Charlie smiled and continued walking ahead while taking Elsa's hand. Right now, Elsa was so angry that she kept her head lowered. As a result, she didn't see where they were going. As she found that they had come to the teachers' office, her mouth involuntarily twitched nonstop...
"Do you want to ask for leave by yourself or shall I do that for you?" Feeling triumphant right now, Charlie asked with his lips curled into a mocking smile, "Or... Shall we go inside together to ask for your leave?"
Immediately, Elsa pushed the door open without even knocking at all. Now, she had become a legendary figure at their school because of Charlie. If he entered the office to ask for leave for her, she would be gossiped again very soon. Elsa didn't want to be the center of attention again. In order not to attract more attention, she was determined to ask for leave by herself in a hurry.
After asking for leave, Elsa grudgingly walked behind Charlie towards the dormitory building. She had to go back to her dormitory first to put something away and take some clothes for her to change. Charlie was not permitted to go up with her, so he just waited downstairs.
On the previous day, he was initially forbidden to enter there too even though some special circumstance occurred to Olivia. With some persuasions, the woman in charge of managing the dormitory building allowed him to enter, considering that Olivia's health was at stake. But today, the dorm keeper wouldn't be convinced so easily. 00000
