Chapter 1147 Extra Story 37 Of Charlie A Confession Through The Refreshing Speaker
Charlie smiled faintly at Evelyn's question. He gently wiped the milk stains from the corner of her mouth with a napkin and then answered in a soft voice, "Nothing happened."
Evelyn didn't believe him at all. She looked at him suspiciously, however, there was nothing but a soft smile on his face and a desire to pamper his dear sister. Sometimes she couldn't help but wonder how happy and lucky the woman who won Charlie's heart would be. Evelyn sighed deeply and went back to drinking the milk tea silently.
"What's wrong?" Charlie asked, titling his head slightly.
Evelyn said slowly without looking at her brother, "I was wondering what I would do after you get married in the future."
"What?" Charlie was dumbstruck by her sudden woe. Seeing how genuinely agonized she looked, he lowered his eyes and smiled. "Well, then you will be pampered by one more person," he said.
"You're wrong,"
Ezra interrupted when Evelyn was just about to speak. Her eyes had shone brightly at Charlie's words, but now the shine had disappeared.
She fumed at Ezra, who was sitting opposite to her. She gritted her teeth and asked, "Why is he wrong?"
Ezra pushed his refined rimless glasses slightly up the bridge of his sharp nose, an evilly attractive smile playing at the corners of his mouth. Evelyn thought that he would say something to piss her off even more, but he said, "Not just one more. You will be pampered by two other people other than your brothers."
Evelyn furrowed her brows as she did not understand the meaning behind his words. Confusedly, she turned towards Charlie, hoping that he would enlighten her.
However, Charlie lowered his head to smile faintly instead of explaining. To worsen things, he said something that confused her even more. "I don't think this is the right time," he said, looking at Ezra. He displayed no emotions on his face.
Ezra scanned Charlie's eyes, looking for a clue as to what he was thinking. Charlie didn't avert his eyes either. Ezra knew all too well what kind of existence the Long Family was. And he was clearly aware of how every man in the Long Family pampered Evelyn. But even so, he could not give up on Evelyn without fighting for her love just because of the pressure from the Long Family or any other reason.
Ever since he had met Evelyn five years ago and had become friends with Charlie eventually, he had had an extremely colorful life. He finally had somebody to long for and somebody who treated him well.
"The right time will never come-" Ezra replied as his eyes darkened, "-until I give it a try."
"You think you can make it?" Charlie asked ambiguously. Evelyn did not understand what he meant.
Ezra did. "At least I should take a step, right?" he replied with another question.
Ezra stood up abruptly. Confused, Evelyn asked, "Uh...Excuse me, But can either of you tell me what you two are- Ow!"
Before she could finish her sentence, Ezra pulled her up from her seat.
"What the hell?!" Evelyn yelled at him.
Ezra didn't respond to her fury. Instead, he fixed his eyes on Charlie, who was eyeballing him back. Ezra said slowly, "If you ask me, she will be lost unless somebody soon replaces you." A smile played on his slips-like a challenge, filled with mischief and danger. More than anything, it was a firm decision.
"Ahem! Ezra Zhou, what are you doing? Release me! Hey! Where are you taking me? Charlie! Charlie, what the hell is going on?"
Evelyn's yelling slowly faded away. Still sitting at the table, Charlie looked at the two figures walking away. He smirked and shook his head. "How much do I have to pay?" he asked the stall keeper.
He paid the bill and left. Unfortunately, Evelyn was still not able to get rid of Ezra's grip on her hands, even though she was good at taekwondo and judo. She didn't know why she couldn't win against him. It was like he had eyes on his back as well. She tried her best to kick him many times, but she couldn't even graze him.
"Ezra, where are you taking me?" Evelyn roared. She was too pissed off to worry about the passers-by who were staring at them.
Ezra didn't say a word the whole time. He just pulled her along with him until they arrived at a bridge over the city moat. In the dim street light, Evelyn's fair cheeks looked softer. Little moths were flying around the lights.
"Do you know this place?" Ezra asked without any prologue.
Evelyn was extremely furious. She didn't give a crap about where this place was. As Ezra ignored her anger, she started to fume in rage. Without a word, she folded her hands tightly into fists and attacked him head on. She moved so sharply that she cut the wind in front of her.
However, her fists didn't hit the target. She couldn't touch Ezra at all.
Evelyn was mad. This had never happened to her before. She raised her leg and tried to round-kick him.
Ezra moved fluidly as if he had foreseen her kick. Her leg almost touched his body, but failed to make proper contact. Ezra moved slightly to grab Evelyn's fist that was about to hit his face. He took the opportunity to prevent her next movement by locking her arm behind her. Meanwhile, his gaze under the glasses had become dark.
"Argh! Ezra, let go of me!" Evelyn roared as she attempted to get out of his grip. However, Ezra had wrapped her hands tightly in his. She could not move at all.
"Don't you remember this place?" Ezra asked. His eyes were giving out a dangerous aura now.
"I don't give a shit about this place!" Evelyn roared and then raised her leg again to kick him.
Now Ezra was angry too. He exerted pressure on the hand behind her back. Evelyn lost her balance and leaned towards him. He pressed her against the pole of the street lamp.
"Ezra! Wha―"
Evelyn's mouth was sealed by Ezra's lips before she could finish her words. Her eyes opened wide. Her hands, which had been waving in the air a moment ago, froze in their position. All the cells in her body seemed to have stopped working. She was overwhelmed by the faint aura of sea water coming from Ezra's body, which smelled fresh and attractive.
They stayed like that for some time and Ezra finally released his grip on her. Slowly, he raised his head and fixed his eyes on Evelyn, who no longer knew how to react. A faint smile played at the corners of his mouth. In an attractive voice, he asked, "Do you remember
now?"

When Charlie was back in his dormitory, Elsa was logged into the game. Sweet Dream dressed in blue stood in the wind with a beauty fan in her hand, while Silent Sorrow, in his white robes, stood by her side. His black hair was dancing in the air, and the sword in his hand was giving out a sharp white light. The two characters matched each other well.
[Spouse] Silent Sorrow: Have you come to a decision?
No answer.
[Spouse] Silent Sorrow: Since you're online, I believe that you've straightened out your thoughts and accepted the fact that I'm Charlie. Right?!
There was still no answer.
Sighing in defeat, Charlie changed into another channel.
[Speaker] Silent Sorrow: Sweet Dream, what should I do so that you will understand that I am no longer the person I used to be? I have loved you for many years. So much has changed in my life, but I have never forgotten you. You have always been in my heart. [World] Wind Blowing Butt: Fuck! What's going on?
[World] Dangerous Beauty: Silent Sorrow, how could you show your love to Sweet Dream in such a big way? Did you even think about me? I neither have a husband, nor do I have Legendary Past. What should I do now? I can do nothing but weep in silence. [World] Worldly Rose: Go away, you hermaphrodite! Silent Sorrow, what happened between you and Sweet Dream? Why hasn't Legendary Past said anything this whole evening?
[World] Reporter Bean: Does this mean that something is going to happen soon?
[World] I Hate To Create A Name: Bean, you're wrong. This is a story about the ex-girlfriend hunting down the current girlfriend.
[World] Reporter Little Happiness: I Hate To Create A Name, farewell. Sorry for not seeing you off (candle).
Immediately, candles rushed into World to say farewell to I Hate To Create A Name.
[World] Puppet123: By the way, when did Sweet Dream join Madness Is Good?
[World] Puppet321: Honey... Is that for real? I heard that the group only takes in very rich players.
[World] Marshmallow: Seriously? Ah, when you marry a rich man, you become rich too.
[World] Little Acid: Yeah, we don't step in between couples or find sugar daddies. So, we can't join Madness Is Good.
[World] Alps: Little Acid, you're absolutely right.
Nobody echoed them. Everybody else felt that they might end up the same way as Candy Group if they trashed talked about Sweet Dream.
[World] Blossom In The Field: It looks like some people are getting too cheeky since they are not being ill-treated or massacred anymore.
[World] Worldly Rose: Any member of Candy Group will be killed without warning if we see them here. Anybody who doesn't want to be killed has two options-you either quit the game or you never get out of security town.
Charlie didn't pay much attention to the chats in World. He just refreshed Speaker, waiting for Elsa's response. But, the person he was waiting for was currently taking a bath. She had no idea that Dragon Yelling To The Sky would once again become bloody because of
her.
When she finished her bath and sat down in front of her laptop, she saw the yellow note drifting conspicuously on her screen. Her mouth fell agape. She was about to type something when the laptop screen went dark all of a sudden following a flare light.
