Love Began with the First Meeting

"I just finished training. Don't you mind the smell of sweat?" Daniel asked in a teasing tone.

Evelyn shook her head quickly and answered, "No, I don't mind it at all."

Her soft and cute voice was so sweet to the ears, and nobody could resist it.

"Let me kiss you if you don't mind."

Daniel kissed her tiny upturned face and then tickled his niece, making the sound of her giggles echo through the dining hall. The single soldiers looked on at the happy scene feeling a little envious. They hoped that someday they would also have such a sweet and lovely daughter just like Evelyn.

While it also reminded those who were married of their own children at home and felt a little sad. They had to swallow the bitterness together with their food.

After a while of playing with her, Daniel helped Evelyn eat her breakfast then glanced up at his brother-in-law and asked, "Brian, have you made up your mind?"

"You're going to get married in three days, right?" Brian shifted the topic. And he added, "Cathy has been preparing for your wedding, day and night and you should leave your work for your soldiers to do. A wedding is one of the biggest events in your life. Aren't you afraid that Cathy will get annoyed doing it all on her own?"

"I won't get annoyed!" Cathy interrupted abruptly. "If Daniel can persuade you, I will be happy even if I have to marry myself on the wedding day," she kidded. It sounded like a joke, but there was some truth behind it.

She was in the same team as Daniel and also wanted to see Falcon Commando improved. Only in this way, can her work be fully used. She felt satisfied as long as she was the most important person in Daniel's heart. As for other things, like the wedding and other ceremonies, she didn't care about them at all. 'At least one thing was for sure.' She blinked her eyes and thought, 'Daniel must be more romantic than Brian.'

They had a happy time during breakfast. It seemed people could forget all of their troubles when Evelyn was in their company.

The members of Falcon Commando who were sitting at another table had been watching them while having breakfast. Mountain Falcon was the first to ask Red Falcon, "Do you think our captain has persuaded Brian or not?" "Of course not!" Red Falcon replied in a definite tone.

He was staring at Daniel while biting the chopsticks and added absurdly, "Look! There's a disappointment in our captain's eyes. That means he hasn't handled it."

The other soldiers let out a sigh. Everyone sat up, and someone consoled the others by saying, "Forget it. Maybe it's for the better that our captain's brother-in-law isn't involved in this matter. Otherwise, our morale will be killed."

Another soldier agreed and said, "Yes, you're right. We can barely finish the obstacles in four minutes with a heavy load. We'd better not create more trouble for ourselves. We should eat well and then train hard after breakfast and be pragmatic about it. Maybe this is the only way out for us."

"Oh!" Another soldier heaved a sigh. "That's so disappointing," he exclaimed.

The days flew by, while Daniel trained the soldiers, he always looked for opportunities to persuade Brian. However, after three days he still didn't have an answer from Brian, and the day of his wedding had finally arrived. The previous day, the commander of the army was kind enough to allow no training in the afternoon and evening. They were given free time to think about how to prank the new couple so that they would have lasting memories of an unforgettable wedding.

Following the leader's orders, all the soldiers were brainstorming ideas about the tricks to play on the wedding day. Especially those from Falcon Commando. Now they had the chance to get revenge for the suffering when their captain trained them. So all of them were very enthusiastic about this new assignment.

"You'd better not do anything that goes too far!" Red Falcon reminded them. Then he said with a big smile, "You'd best think it through clearly before you play any tricks on his wedding day. Don't forget he will still be your captain after tomorrow."

All of them were thunderstruck at the thought. If the soldiers took their revenge out on their captain through a prank on his wedding day, then the captain would make them regret it the very next day.

"What are you all worrying about?" A superior soldier raised a brow and said, "He will still train us without mercy even if we don't play a prank on him."

"Yes, you're right!" Sea Hawk agreed. "Let's continue to think about our plan!" he added.

Looking at the enthusiasm on all the soldier's faces, Red Falcon smiled and shook his head helplessly. He couldn't help but feel sorry for Daniel. It seemed this wedding was, definitely going to be an unforgettable one.

While the soldiers were concocting a plan, Daniel was sitting peacefully with a subtle breeze blowing in his face, on the practice field where the wedding site was going to take place tomorrow. Because it was considered bad luck for the groom to see the bride before their wedding day, Cathy was taken to the department of technology by her colleagues. "What? Are you in meditation? That's really inappropriate for a man who is getting married tomorrow," Molly teased her brother. She then sat down beside him.

"Sister!" Daniel called out abruptly.

Molly nodded as a reply and asked, "What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing..." Daniel felt a little awkward. "I don't know what I was thinking about. My head was blank, and it all felt surreal."

He looked at Molly with a feeling of remorse. He remembered the time when he once tried to hurt Mark and her for his own gain. "Life is always changing. You are one way at one moment, and the next moment, you change again. There are many ups and downs, but at this moment, I feel very fortunate. I am so fortunate to have such a good sister, like you,"

He said in an earnest tone. Then he turned his head to look forward.
