Chapter 1025 Extra Story 6 Of Sweetness Between Bri And Mol A Trump Card
Mark wrapped his arms around Spark's neck and he placed his little face over Spark's shoulder. In a soft voice, he said, "You will always be my daddy no matter what happens. Okay? I know that I would not be able to stay by your side very often, but I will always be your
backup."
As soon as he heard that, Spark's vision became blurred. Tears were already streaming from his eyes.
As he tried to suppress his emotions, a faint, warm smile flashed on his lips. If he would dream of Molly all his life, he would miss Mark all his life. He was not his biological son, but he had been with him every day for four years. How many four years could a child have? While he was sad that he was bidding him goodbye, Spark was happy that Mark became a part of his life. Solely because of him, Spark felt that his trip to Dragon Island was worthwhile.
Standing by the window of the VIP room at the airport, Molly saw the airplane Spark was in take off and fly into the sky. Did she feel sad? No, since now, she regretted nothing in her life. How could she ever feel sad?
She was with the man who loved her very much. She had cute, loving children. She had somebody else she cared about. A life journey actually had no end, and people only felt facing an end once they stopped making footsteps themselves. She thought, 'You only have to work hard and try your best. Even if you think that you wouldn't be able to hold on because of cowardice, your life's end would be different because of all the work you have put in it.'
"Bri, thank you..." Molly said with all of her heart as she looked up at the blue sky. "Thank you for letting me meet you in my life."
Hearing that, Brian held her in his arms gently from behind and gave her a soft kiss on the top of her head. In a deep, warm voice, he said slowly," Then...how are you going to thank me?"
Hearing Brian's response, Molly became speechless. With what she said, the sentimentality of it and all the emotion she had put into it, she fully thought she had started some kind of romantic plot. And she made sure that that plot would easily be completed by Brian. However, he didn't follow her script and instead, he turned the romantic play into a soap drama. But then, thinking about it, Molly found that she was not very surprised. That was exactly something he would say and do at that time.
As she rolled her eyes, she was prepping herself to ask Brian if he knew what romance was at all. However, Brian spun her around 180 degrees all of a sudden. Before she was able to react to such an act, her eyes met Brian's deep-set and bottomless eyes, and immediately, she forgot how angry and frustrated she had been just a moment ago. Actually, she had forgotten how to react.
"Molly, you have been using Spark to make me angry and jealous for the past few days. How about talking about that and balancing the accounts?" Brian said in a lower and deeper voice, his eyes staring deeper and deeper into Molly's soul. That made Molly feel like Brian was starting to control her body. It took her breath away.
"I... I didn't do that! What are you talking about?" Molly denied, but her voice was full of guilt. She thought, 'Oh wow. Were you angry? I didn't notice!'
"No?!" Brian asked, and his stare becoming dangerous. Squinting, he looked just like a hunter would as he scouted his possible prey.
Molly looked away and sighed. Truly, she didn't think she'd lost the upper hand in this situation. Standing straight and raising her chin, she continued to defend herself. "I didn't use Spark to irritate you," she started. "And besides, you weren't angry. How could you say that I made you angry?" Seeing that Brian's eyes only became increasingly scarier, she knew that once she made it obvious that she had a guilty conscience, he would be sure to punish her. In order to prevent herself from being mentally beaten by him, she had to make him believe that everything was all his fault. So with a deep breath, she continued, "Now, you know--"
Molly's mouth was shut by Brian's lips before she could even finish what she was trying to say. All of a sudden, she opened her eyes wide. The first thought in her mind was that they were in the VIP room of the airport. Although there were only few people inside, people were still there, and they were going to look.
Brian didn't allow Molly to think about anything else while they were locked in a kiss. Soon enough, he began to up the ante and started kissing her wildly. Very soon, Molly, too, forgot where she was.
"Hmm..." Molly mumbled and their lips collided and fought. Due to Brian's aggressive kiss, she could hardly breathe. Though the room was well lit with sunlight, Molly's vision became blurred.
Brian opened his eyes for a second and glanced at the lady he was kissing. Seeing that he had successfully aroused her passion, he wished that he could do something more to her right there. Of course, he knew that he couldn't. He had to stop right now, or else he wouldn't be sure whether he could at all. Slowly, he released Molly's lips. Seeing that she was gasping for air, his eyes sparkled.
Perhaps it was because she felt embarrassed and shy, or perhaps it was because she had been short of breath just now, that Molly's face was red. As the sunlight hit her, her cheeks looked attractive and dreamlike. With a deep breath, she tried to calm herself down. In an annoyed tone, she said, "Aren't you afraid that other people would judge us if they saw us doing that?"
"Is there anybody in the world who dare laugh at me?" Brian asked back in a plain tone.
His words sounded wildly arrogant, but they were telling the truth. Everybody who knew him knew that if anybody dared laugh at him, the person who did would never see the sun rise the next day. Moreover, they were in Dragon Island. Although he was not a member of the National Congress, he was a member of the Long Family. Nobody dared challenge the Long Family openly.
Hearing those words, Molly could not help but roll her eyes at him. Hoping to take a break from the arrogance Brian was exuding, she turned around. When she did, however, she saw that Eric was standing at the door of the VIP room. All of a sudden, her cheeks became red and hot out of embarrassment.
Seeing the expression on Molly's face, Brian turned his head to look at the same direction she was looking at. Seeing what Molly saw, Brian regained his stance and composure quickly. When his eyes met Eric's, his black eyes turned dangerous.
Eric strode towards the two of them. With a sly smile at the plastered in his mouth, he teased them, "You two have been married for several years. Couldn't you try to control yourselves in public?"
Hearing that, Brian was able to let out a condescending chuckle, while Molly's face became redder. She gritted her teeth and glared at Eric. Quickly, she turned to Brian and said, "I'm waiting for you in the car." She knew that Eric must have something to talk to Brian since he came to him even though he was at the airport.
Brian nodded. Under the smiling gaze of Eric, Molly took a step. However, in an instant, Eric's smile faded, and was promptly replaced by a scream.
He glared at Molly in pain with his wide open eyes. Seeing that, Molly smiled slyly. "Nice to see you, Eric," she said coyly as she passed by him and left the VIP room.
Molly had stomped on Eric's foot with all her might. Massaging his foot, Eric didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He mumbled, "Since she gave birth to the twins, Little Molly has become more and more unruly, huh..." While saying that, he withdrew his sight to look at Brian. "Brother Brian, is it right for you to pamper her like this?" he asked.
Brian, who was smiling and looking at the leaving Molly, turned to Eric, his eyes narrowed. The smile on his lips faded as quickly as it graced it.
Feeling snubbed, Eric started to fix his tie to relieve his embarrassment. Meanwhile, Brian asked, "What's the matter?"
"Well, Dad told me to pick up somebody..." Eric answered, smiling, as if he was ready to enjoy a show and take pleasure in other's misfortune. "That somebody is Cora Ke," he added.
As soon as he heard those words, Brian squinted slightly and asked, "Cora Ke, the one who had been trained at XK Intelligence Agency?"
Shrugging, Eric answered, "Yeah." He smiled more brightly as he saw Brian's overcast face. "Besides, Richie said that you wouldn't return to A City in a few days." Before Brian was able to say a word, a sweet voice came through from the airport's PA system. "Flight KN7451 from Brunei has arrived..."
Brian glanced at Eric. Without saying a word, he passed by him and strode out of the VIP room. Eric turned around to look at Brian's back. The smile at the corners of his mouth didn't disappear. Actually, he was smiling wider, like a maniac.
Dragon Island had not witnessed such a dramatic thing for a long time. Now that Spark had just left, Cora was arriving. He could not wait to see what would happen.
Brian got on the car and sat on the backseat next to Molly silently. Molly frowned slightly and asked, "What's wrong? What happened?" She wondered whether there was something wrong since Eric had come to him.
Tony started the car. He took a look at the backseat from the rear view mirror but as soon as he saw Brian's gloomy face, he withdrew his sight. Such an expression would not appear on Brian's face only because of something about Dragon Island, Grand Night Casino or Emp. He inferred that probably his boss' expression had something to do with Molly.
"Nothing," Brian answered in an indifferent tone. "Something happened in A City. We have to go back as soon as possible. Let's go back and pack up. I will tell the airport to arrange a private plane."
"Hmm," Molly said in acknowledgement, looking out the window. She didn't ask any more question despite the confusion and uneasiness she was feeling in her heart. As they journeyed back, she felt the aura around Brian become colder and colder. It made her uncomfortable, and scared of what might be happening.
