Words failed Wesley. It was only now that he understood the purpose of Eleanor’s proactive phone call. After obtaining sufficient evidence, she sought revenge without leaving Wesley any room to argue! Eleanor continued. “Shouldn’t we arrest and sentence Arianna as the mastermind behind all this?” Wesley’s face darkened, and he frowned, looking at Arianna. Startled, Arianna trembled. She didn’t expect those guys to be so unreliable. Not only did they fail in their task, but they also exposed her! Bertha suddenly got up and rushed up to Arianna. “Wesley, Arianna would never do something like this. She leads a comfortable life, and things go smoothly at her work. Why would she cause trouble for someone else? “Moreover, Arianna isn’t stupid. If she wanted to harm Ms. Basford, she wouldn’t show up before those thugs. You’re not allowed to provoke Eleanor anymore!” After finishing, Wesley turned around and left. Arianna cried and wanted to catch up, but she was stopped by Bertha. Once Bertha made sure Wesley was truly gone, she closed the door and asked Arianna. “Tell me the truth. Did you do this?” Arianna bit her lip hard and didn’t say a word. Bertha understood.
