Chapter 101 Acting Like a Child
By the time Henry arrived in City C, it was already almost evening.
He went to the Silver Beach apartment first.
Sure enough, the room was the same as its original state.
The clothes he bought for her were still in the wardrobe, untouched.
Even the clothes that were torn by him that time was still there.
Henry picked up the clothes and started examining them.
Perhaps she bought some patches from the internet.
The torn part was carefully stitched back together.
This dress had a unique feel to it.
This girl...
Henry couldn't help but smile. He could picture her sewing the torn piece carefully.
However, there was no trace of her in the room at all.
After hanging back the clothes, he turned around and walked out.
He was headed to Garcia Mansion.
When he arrived at Garcia Mansion, Miranda was the only one at home.
She was sitting in the mini cinema with her 4D glasses on, eating popcorn as she watched a movie.
Right when she was getting immersed into the movie, the lights were suddenly on.
Miranda frowned and yelled, "Who is it? Can't you see that I'm watching a movie?"
In the next second, someone snatched her glasses off.
Miranda looked at the man in front of her with popcorn stuffed in her mouth and was stunned.
"Where did Rosa move to?"
The man's voice was very cold.
"Ah? Bah!" Miranda immediately spat out the popcorn in her mouth and then looked at him. "What did you say, uncle?"
"Where did Rosa move to?"
"Oh, Rosa, she said she moved to the Silver Beach!"
Upon hearing this, Henry frowned deeply.
It seemed like Miranda had no idea about her moving away.
"Uncle, why are you looking for her?" Miranda was confused. Why would her uncle look for Rosa?
"It's none of your business!"
After that, he turned around and left.
Miranda pouted. "What was that for?!"
It seemed that this girl didn't want him to find her.
Her phone was turned off, so he couldn't locate her.
She refused to go on the trip and got nine days off. How heartless!
Did she really not want to see him that much?
The more the man thought about it, the angrier he became.
"Forget it, I'll stop searching!
"I'll just go back to sleep!" He thought.
The man went back to his villa to sleep.
He slept until noon the next day.
If it weren't for the countless phone calls, he probably wouldn't want to get up.
"Henry, don't you know what day it is today? How are you not back yet?" Mrs. Lewis sounded particularly upset on the phone.
Henry frowned and said weakly, "I'll head back immediately."
"Hurry up, don't make a joke out of yourself in front of your relatives!" Mrs. Lewis said and hung up the phone.
The man got up and brushed his teeth. He was not in good spirits.
After he got ready and opened the door, Denny had already been waiting for him.
"Mr. Lewis, the gift for old Mrs. Lewis is ready!" Denny said hurriedly.
"Alright." Henry sat in the back seat and narrowed his eyes. No one knew what he was thinking.
Denny didn't pry and drove straight to Lewis Mansion.
Forty minutes later....
"You can rest for today." Henry got out of the car and said to Denny.
Denny was stunned and hurriedly said, "Alright, Mr. Lewis. Call me if you need anything!"
Henry walked towards the building.
When the servants saw him, they immediately addressed, "Master Lewis!"
"Ah, Henry's back. Look, he's just as handsome as his brother!" He was surrounded by relatives in an instant.
Henry smiled politely and addressed them one by one.
"Henry..." Paige chuckled and walked over.
She had arrived very early today in order to leave a good impression on Mrs. Lewis.
Henry was unfazed as he looked at her. Then he walked to his elders.
"Happy Birthday, Mom." He said and passed her a gift.
Mrs. Lewis'spirits was lifted in an instant.
"Paige, come here." Mrs. Lewis immediately called her over.
"Look at this, both of you had the same idea and gave me the same branded bag. What a coincidence! You two must have some sort of connection."
Paige looked at the bag in Mrs. Lewis's hand and her smile deepened.
"Denny picked it!" Henry said dismissively. "I'm going upstairs to take a shower!"
"Hey, you...!" Mrs. Lewis looked at Paige helplessly. "Here, let me introduce you to our relatives and elders!"
Paige immediately put away her disappointment and followed her with a smile.
On the second floor, Miranda was playing with her phone on the young master's bed.
The young master was sitting at the edge of the bed playing with his Magic Cube.
"Why aren't you in your room? What are you doing here in my room?" The young master shouted. That was his spot!
"I like it. Why?" Miranda replied as she stared at her phone, not sparing him a look.
"Everything that you touched must be cleaned! The blanket, the mattress, the pillow, everything!" The young master pouted and said.
Hearing this, Miranda rolled her eyes and sat up. She grabbed his hand and pulled him into her arms.
The next second, she hugged him tightly.
Before the young master could react...
He was pulled so suddenly that he almost fell down.
"Look, I've already touched you. Hurry and wash up. Stop being an eyesore!" Miranda said as she crossed her legs and continued to play with her phone.

The young master was so angry that his eyes turned red.
Henry walked over and looked at them. "There are so many relatives downstairs. What are you doing here?"
Miranda immediately sat up, and the young master also stood still.
"I know that you guys don't like this sort of family gathering, but you still need to do what you have to. You were born into this family, so act like it!" Miranda curled her lips and said, "Got it."
"Uncle, I'll head downstairs right away!" The young master tossed his Magic Cube away.
And thus, the two of them immediately ran downstairs in embarrassment.
Henry stood at the door and looked at the young master's room.
Memories started to pop into his mind one after the other.
She was adorable.
Her shyness...
Her furious look...
These memories greatly agitated him.
He became even more irritated.
Henry returned to his room and took a cold shower.
He changed his clothes and slowly went downstairs.
"Come here, Henry!" Mr. Lewis waved him over.
Henry immediately saw his parents standing beside Paige's parents.
He sneered and walked over slowly.
"Your father-in-law and mother-in-law have been waiting for you. It took you a while to come downstairs. How rude!" Mr. Lewis said hurriedly.
"That's right. Look at you, what were you so busy with?" Mrs. Lewis rolled her eyes at him.
Mr. Baker looked at him and immediately said with a smile, "Ah, it's alright. He must be tired from all the work!"
"That's right, he must be busy. We understand. My daughter is also dealing with the company's affairs all day!" Mrs. Baker said hurriedly.
Henry walked up to them and nodded slightly before saying in a cold voice, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Baker, Mrs. Baker."
"Haha, well, well... why do you have dark circles under your eyes? Did you not sleep well yesterday?" Mrs. Baker asked with concern.
"I went to City R to sign a contract yesterday. I'm a bit tired!" He said and smiled politely.
"You went to City R to sign a contract with Mr. Pearce?" Mr. Baker was shocked.
Henry narrowed his eyes lazily. His expression was indifferent and casual as he said, "Excuse me but, I heard that Baker Enterprise had been wanting to sign this contract with Mr. Pearce for a while now and never did. I wanted to give it a try. Unexpectedly, Mr. Pearce actually agreed to it."
Mr. Baker's face stiffened. He was obviously stunned.
He had wanted to sign this contract for a long time.
This was an important contract, and he was determined to get it.
How could he sign it!
"Haha, ah, it's not like someone else signed the contract, he's your son-in-law!" Mr. Lewis was sensible.
He naturally saw his displeasure and immediately tried to smooth things over.
Of course, he supported his son in this matter.
Baker Enterprise was already big enough in City C. If he hadn't done
ething,
would have mo
power over them.
So what if they were in-laws?
Power is still power.
Mrs. Lewis immediately said with a smile, "Henry is marrying Paige soon. He's all hers!"
"That's right, he's our son-in-law, not anyone else!" Mrs. Baker hurriedly reminded her husband.
Mr. Baker came to his senses and said with a smile, "Right, right, we're family, family!"
Henry kept his true intentions to himself.
After saying a few words to them, he went to the other side to entertain the others.
There were many people here today.
Her eldest sister, Asher, and her brother-in-law, Geoffrey, had been busy.
His brother and sister-in-law were busy greeting everyone as well.
However, he, who was not married yet, was quite lazy. "What's wrong? Why the long face?" Asher came over and asked him.
"Nothing, you know, I don't like this kind of gathering." Henry remained expressionless. Asher chuckled and said, "It's been so many years, haven't you gotten used to it yet?" "Should I get used to it?" He looked at his eldest sister and asked.
"Ah, what can I say? We were born into such a family, so we should learn to deal with it."
"I'm afraid I won't be able to get used to it in this life!" Henry sighed.
Asher pulled him aside and looked around, then whispered, "I know you don't like Paige, but... do you think you have a better choice?"
Ever since she entered, his younger brother had never been nice to Paige.
"What do you mean, a better choice?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Birds of a kind flock together, this explains everything!" She said directly.
"Ha!" The man sneered as his grim eyes darken. "I will marry the woman I want, no matter her status!"
Asher frowned and said, "How could you have such an idea? You should know that our parents will not approve of it!"
"Sister, why do they have to approve who I marry?" He smiled indifferently. "She's spending her life with me, not with them!"
Asher was surprised. "You're not serious, are you?"
"When am I not serious?"
Asher was shocked and did not respond for a long time.
Henry stopped talking. He turned around, found a quiet place, and sat down on the sofa.
He kept staring at his phone.
If one looked closely, his was staring the girl's phone number.
After wandering around for a while, Paige suddenly noticed him sitting alone.
She frowned slightly.
Why was he treating her even colder this time?
She felt a little uneasy.
Her hands gripped onto her bag tightly.
Inside the bag was the "good stuff".
With so many people here today, it was a great opportunity for her.
If she had wasted this chance...
It wouldn't be so easy to find this sort of opportunity next time!
For her own good...
She decided to risk it tonight!000000
