LOST

Chapter Journal Entry #1, May 3, 2008

I’ve never been much for journal writing, but something happened today that makes me think I should. After all, I have been waiting for this moment for over 1200 years. I was on my way into a coffeeshop. I was holding the door open for a group of three people who were coming out. The third person, a man who had to be in his early 20′s, brushed my arm as he went past. Images immediately flashed before my eyes. Some, I recognized. Thórsholr. Fire. Zachary laughing. Others, I didn’t. I saw myself walking down a highway with a sign that said ‘Charlotte 34 miles.’ Could it really have been Xamn coming out of the coffeeshop? It had to have been. Why else would I have gotten those visions? He certainly didn’t recognize me. He looked right at me as he walked past but only as a stranger looks at another person who is holding the door for them. Was his soul reincarnated when he vanished into thin air so long ago? What if he’s not in the phonebook? Charlotte’s a big place. Well, I imagine it wasn’t merely coincidence that I bumped into him today. I’ll just have to believe that it will happen again.
