Chapter 27 A Secret Pendant
The touch of his hand felt to Clara increasingly hot and uncomfortable, "It's okay if you feel like that."
Her life was his, so what if she got into his bed?
Ethan was deeply amused to see her close her eyes, her long eyelashes trembling. Her faint white tea fragrance made his breathing tighten a bit.
A few seconds later, Ethan took the initiative to pull away and let go of her hand, "Leave".
Clara was stunned for a few seconds, seeing that the man really did not follow up, she hurriedly crawled out of the bathtub. Her heart continued to beat wildly until she had closed the bathroom door. She had thought that he needed her, but it the end he didn't....................
Clara was going out when she stepped on his slacks left on the carpet. While she was picking up his clothes a necklace fell out of his shirt.
It was a T necklace. That day, she had thought it was Steve's gift for her.
She didn't expect it to be Ethan's.
The pendant had partially opened when the necklace had fallen to the ground. Clara picked it up and vaguely saw a person in the half-open pendant.
She was a little curious and was about to open it completely when the necklace was suddenly taken away from her.
Ethan had stepped out of the bathroom with only a towel around his lower body. His hair was still wet, and he was scowling.
"Get out!" The man ordered her to leave, his voice cold and terrifying.
"I saw it fall, and I wanted to pick it up... " Clara tried to explain. Then seeing how frightening the man was, she put down his clothes and hurried out. The last time she had accidentally worn this necklace, Ethan had only taken it back, and this time he had gotten angry.
What was in the necklace?
Then next day, when she went downstairs to eat breakfast, Clara saw that Ethan still wasn't happy. He probably was still angry about last night. "Sorry Ethan."
She immediately apologized after pulling out her chair and sitting down, "I saw the necklace fall to the ground...... I didn't mean to look at anything."
Ethan looked up at her and said with indifference, "I'll let it go this once. In the future don't enter the master bedroom without my permission. Otherwise, I'll have Donny arrange another residence for you." Hearing him say this, Clara muttered under her breath, "Last night you called me up, I didn't just barge in."
Besides, the necklace didn't break, so why so angry?
She had muttered very quietly, but Ethan still heard it with his sharp ears, his expression sank, "I asked you to go to the master bedroom, did I ask you wander around?"
"Is it considered wandering around to enter the bathroom?" Clara couldn't help but refute, "How could I serve you if I didn't enter?"
"Wow!" Baxter, who was busy eating porridge, raised his head, an alarmed expression on his face that seemed to be saying, 'I'm still a child, am I allowed to listen to this? "Ethan, flirting with your wife at the dining table so early in the morning. Is it... right?"
Ethan stared at him coldly before putting his chopsticks back on the table. "Mrs. Preston, if you had had such a sharp tongue earlier, your family wouldn't have been able to be destroyed by Steve."
The man's cold ridicule was like thorns in Clara's heart, she lowered her head and pursed her lips.
She knew that she had been stupid before. Because she had let love blind her, Steve was able to leave her with nothing. However, Ethan did not need to constantly remind her.
When Ethan saw Clara's pale face, his cold eyes softened a bit. He pushed away his chair and stood up.
After receiving a suit coat handed over to him by a servant, he took out a black and gold card from one of the pockets and placed it on the table. "This card has no limit."
"I don't need it." Clara shook her head, "I don't need much money......"
Before she could finish her words, Ethan interrupted. "Money makes the world go around.' This saying is true everywhere. I don't want outsiders to think that Ethan Preston's wife is a pauper." While Clara was still in a daze, the man had already put on his coat.
With his pants of costly fabric wrapped around his slender legs, and his aristocrat's frosty temperament, he was indeed a wealthy noble's son.
Ethan buttoned his enameled cuff buttons and said in a cold voice, "EMC is currently recruiting, and the translation department is short of people. If you want to give it a try, get your resume done and send it to Donny."
With that said, the man stole a glance at Clara. "You can also choose to spend your days in Preston Village."
"I want to try for a job!" Clara replied quickly.
These past two days, she had thought about it a lot. She knew that it was useless to blindly rely on others, and she didn't want to stay in Preston Village all day either.
Last night when she went to the master bedroom, she had wanted to find an opportunity to mention it to Ethan.
