Lost In Love’s Web by Norton Daniel

Chapter 1

Chapter 1 A Bizarre Night

“Come quickly, Eileen. I’m at the club, and someone’s feeling me up.”

As Eileen Norman rushed over, her mind was filled with the desperate and helpless voice of her best friend over the phone.

Room 808—

Eileen looked up at the suite number, which was the same one her best friend, Belen Lawrence, had sent her. Without a second thought, she pushed the door open to rescue her.

As soon as she opened the door, she was greeted by darkness.

Suddenly…

A strong hand abruptly grasped her wrist, pulling her inside as the door slammed shut.

“Aah… Who are you, what do you want?” Eileen cried out in fear.

A man’s husky voice was heard to say, “Just cooperate, and I will compensate you.”

The next second, Eileen was thrown onto a sofa, followed swiftly by a muscular figure pressing down on her.

“Oof…” As she struggled and cried out, thin l*ps with a hint of minty freshness forcibly silenced her.

The man’s b*dy was like fire, almost scorching her.

In her frantic struggles, Eileen felt the fierce force of this man.

An hour later…

Eileen came out of the room disheveled and trembling. Despite her own nightmarish experience, she was still worried about her best friend’s safety.

Just as she picked up her phone to make a call, she saw a group of people, coming out of the main door. Under the light, she clearly recognized two of the girls.

One was her friend Belen, who had called for help, and the other was her half-sister, Brittany Norman. They were arm in arm intimately.

Seeing these two, Eileen was both shocked and furious.

“Belen, stop right there!” Eileen shouted, clenching her fists in anger.

Belen and Brittany immediately turned around. Eileen’s face was ashen as she stared at them, demanding an answer from Belen. “Why did you deceive me?”

Belen smirked. “Oh, Eileen, it’s your fault for being so easy to fool. Who told you to be so naive?”

“How was that male prostitute just now? Was he good in bed?” Brittany added with a venomous smile.

Eileen suddenly realized the bitter truth, everything that happened tonight was a cruel setup. Her virginity lost in a single evening.

Belen’s eyes were cold as she said, “Eileen, did you really think I considered you to be a close friend? Ever since we met, I’ve been like a foil for you. I hate you so much that I wish I could disfigure your face.”

Brittany chimed in mockingly, “I have evidence to show Dad that you’ve been earning money by entertaining clients at the club. You’ll definitely be kicked out of the house!”

“You…” Eileen was reeling from the betrayal and cruelty. Her b*dy shook with anger, and she felt like she was about to faint.

“Let’s go, Belen! Don’t bother with her. She’s filthy tonight.” Brittany, linking arms with Belen, walked towards her sports car parked on the roadside.

Three days later…

At the Norman’s residence…

“I didn’t let you study abroad, so you got involved in such disgraceful activities? How could I have a shameless daughter like you?” The stern voice of Tyree Norman was filled with rage.

“Dad, I didn’t…”

“You didn’t? Eileen, how could you be so shameless? Are we not providing enough for you? To think you’d stoop to selling yourself for money. Just make sure you don’t bring any filthy diseases back home to infect us!” The woman on the sofa, decked in jewels, spoke disdainfully.

“Dad, I really didn’t… I…” Eileen tried to explain.

But Tyree wasn’t in the mood to listen. “You dare to lie to me? Get out of this house! I cannot afford to lose face with a daughter like you!”

From the balcony on the second floor, Brittany, resting her chin on her hands, watched the drama unfold just as she had planned. Eileen would be driven out of the house, becoming a pitiful stray dog.

Eileen had never seen her father, Tyree, this angry and disappointed. Silently, she got up, not saying a word, and started upstairs to pack her things.

Just as she reached the second-floor entrance, Brittany, with arms crossed, blocked her way. “Get lost! You’re not wanted here. You’ll never have a place in this house.”

Eileen clenched her fists, glaring hatefully at the smug face in front of her.

“You want to hit me? Come on!” Brittany turned her face, taunting her.

Eileen didn’t hold back and slapped her across the face.

“Ah! You hit me… Dad, Mom, Eileen hit me!” Brittany cried out in pain and hurried downstairs.

Downstairs, Caitlyn Waller wrapped her arms around her daughter, furiously pointing upstairs. “Eileen, how dare you hit my daughter! You’re out of control!”

Tyree saw the slap mark on Brittany’s face and felt disappointed to the core.

When did Eileen become so reckless and disrespectful?’ he thought.

“Dad, it hurts so much…” Brittany ran to her father, exaggerating her pain.

“Eileen, get out of this house!” Tyree yelled upstairs again.

After packing her belongings, Eileen picked up her passport and walked downstairs. When she saw her father comforting Brittany so lovingly, her heart felt dead.

He didn’t even bother to ask what she went through the night before, only taking Brittany’s word for it. It was crystal clear where she stood in her father’s heart.

Since her mother’s death, she had been like an outsider in this home, especially after her father brought his mistress and her daughter into their lives.

Her mother had died tragically on a work mission, never knowing her husband’s betrayal.

She didn’t want to come back to this so-called home ever again.

Brittany watched Eileen leave with her suitcase, a malicious smile curling over her l*ps. She was overjoyed to have got rid of this nuisance.

Five years later…

Someone knocked on the door of an apartment in Dowora.

A woman, engrossed in her designs, stood up with annoyance and opened the door, only to see two Amerigonian men in suits. She asked in Zathinese, “To what do I owe the pleasure?”

“Are you Miss Eileen Norman?” one of them asked back in Elorish.

“I am. And you are?” Eileen replied.

“We’ve been sent to find you. Your mother, Hayley Norman, saved the life of our young master. Our employer would like to meet you,” they explained.

Eileen frowned. “Who is your employer?”

“The Nielsen family’s senior madam,” the leading man replied respectfully.

Eileen instantly understood. The senior madam of the Nielsen Group, the number one financial group, was the grandmother of the very man her mother had sacrificed herself to save all those years ago.

Eileen’s mother was a great police officer. As her daughter, she was immensely proud.

“Sorry, I’m not interested in meeting her.” Eileen declined directly. She suspected the Nielsens wanted to express their gratitude, but she had no desire to accept it.

“Mommy, who is it?” A young and curious voice called out from inside the room.

Eileen quickly responded, “Some people we don’t know.” Then, turning to the people at the door, she said, “Sorry, I’m not receiving visitors.”

She then closed the door firmly.

Meanwhile, in a luxurious villa halfway up a hill.

“Did you find out?”

“Yes, Mr. Nielsen. The woman from the club five years ago just bought your watch on the second-hand market.”

“Find her.” The man on the sofa spoke in a low, powerful tone, his voice carrying an air of silent authority.

“Understood!”
