Lost and Found: Return of My Mysterious Fiancee

Chapter 673: Just——Getting Herself Married?

After hanging up the phone, Tina buckled her seatbelt and turned to look at Jared with a serious expression, "Uncle, I want to get married!"

"Okay, I'll take you to... huh? What did you say?" Jared thought Tina had said she was hungry and hadn't reacted at first, suddenly feeling that something was off. Had he just heard the little girl in his family say she wanted to get married?

Right?

That's what she said, right?

His ears must be working fine, right?

Tina smiled, leaned closer to his ear, and whispered, "I said, I want to get married! Don't you?"

"I do!" Jared replied, starting the car immediately, "Let's go get the paperwork done right now!"

He didn't know why Tina suddenly wanted to get married after a phone call; all he knew was that he couldn't wait any longer.

Right now, immediately, he was going to marry his little girl and take her home!

Tina, "...there's no need to rush!"

Jared, "Rush! Of course, we need to rush! If you're not in a hurry, I am!"

As he spoke, he sped up the car, wishing he could fly to the city hall to get that marriage certificate, which cost only a hundred dollars but was priceless in his heart. Tina chuckled, "What are you rushing for!"

Jared turned his head, not slowing down, "Want to try and see what I'm rushing for?"

Tina, "...No need to try!"

Seeing Jared already driving towards the Farrell family's direction, Tina pinched the bridge of her nose and placed her other hand on his, saying, "What I mean is, we need to pick up the pace, the cat and mouse game isn't fun if it drags on too long, once we catch that poisonous mouse, then we'll get married!"

Jared, "It doesn't affect us getting the paperwork done first."

Tina, "..."

She had shot herself in the foot!

Why did she even bring up marriage!

Now, her Uncle was not going to stop until they got their marriage license today!

So be it!

Let's just do it!

After all, she was going to belong to Uncle sooner or later!

Half an hour later, the car stopped at the Farrell family. Jared rushed inside, grabbed the documents, and left immediately.

Marie and Logan looked bewildered, and before they could ask a few questions, Jared had already disappeared into the distance.

Logan looked at the empty doorway and asked Marie, "That was Jared just now, right?"

Marie glanced in the direction of the door, unsure, "I guess?"

It must have been, right?

Logan continued, "What's he rushing off to do with a bunch of documents in his hand?"

Marie thought for a moment, "He left too quickly, I didn't see clearly, but it looked like he had a bunch of documents. Why does he need so many documents?"

Logan shook his head, "Not sure."

With that, he continued drinking his tea.

Elsewhere.

Jared came out with the documents and directly took Tina to the Brookes family.

Then he strode into Tina's room and quickly found her documents.

Why he could find the documents so fast-because he had asked Tina more than once where she stored her documents and had made up his mind that if the day came when the girl agreed to marry, he could take her documents at the fastest speed, giving her no chance to back out.

Yes!

He was thankful for his forethought!

Jared took the documents and left the Brookes family without any delay.

Everyone at the Brookes family was dumbfounded!

Ian was the first to speak up, "What on earth happened to this kid?"

The Brookes family shook their heads.

"We don't know!"

Having obtained the documents, Jared drove straight to the city hall.

Unexpectedly, the city hall was closed!

It was the weekend!

Jared's face turned dark with frustration.

He had prepared for the possibility of not finding Tina's documents, but he hadn't foreseen the weekend!

Tina was also at a loss for words.

"Even the heavens don't want us to get married today. Let's wait and come back in a few days!"

"Even if knives fall from the sky today, I must get this certificate."

With that, Jared pulled out his phone, exercising a privilege for the first time in his life.

Twenty minutes later, Jared walked out of the city hall, hand in hand with Tina, holding two document envelopes.

The sunlight shone down, reflecting off the envelopes.

He looked at the notebooks in his hand and took a deep breath!

Finally!

His little girl was now his lawful wife!

Tina, on the other hand, looked utterly bewildered. Had she really just married herself off?

Was she truly a wife now?

Jared embraced Tina, his cold lips near her ear, his warm breath on her face as he whispered, "Tina, you are mine now!"

Tina smiled too!

Although it was impulsive, it felt... surprisingly happy.

The couple hugged for a while, then Jared took Tina's hand.

"Let's go!"

Tina, puzzled, asked, "Where to?"

Tina, "... Aren't we celebrating?"

Wasn't getting married a big enough event to warrant some celebration with a little drink?

"First, we deal with that poisonous rat, then we celebrate!" Jared took Tina's hand, helped her into the car, and buckled her seatbelt before adding with a serious look, "I want to host a grand wedding ceremony, making you the happiest bride!" Tina's lips curled into a smile, yet she mentioned, "Damian has already booked the tickets!"

Jared paused, "Then we celebrate first!"

Tina, "..."

Jared took out his phone, snapped a photo of the marriage certificate, opened his social media account, and without adding any text, posted only the photo of the certificate, then hit send.

Seeing him do this, Tina also made a post.

After posting, Tina said, "With this post out, you're going to have trouble!"

"No trouble is greater than not being able to marry you!"

In Jared's eyes, not being able to marry Tina was the only real trouble.

Everything else was trivial!

Meanwhile, at the Brookes family, a roar shattered the skies!

"Damn it! Jared, you scoundrel, how could you just trick my precious niece away like that!"

Brandon's voice echoed throughout the Brookes family, startling everyone.

Ian, supported by Scarlett, came out and urgently asked, "What did you just say? Who has been tricked away?"

It seemed he had heard that Jared had tricked Tina away.

Scarlett also hurriedly added, "I heard you say Jared tricked Tina away? What exactly happened?"

Brandon, face dark with anger, shouted, "Check your phones! Look at the post Jared made, he tricked Tina into getting the certificate!"

He was furious!

Though he often joked about creating opportunities for Jared and Tina, when his beloved niece was actually tricked into getting married, it felt like his heart was being clawed at, and he could hardly wait to tear Jared to pieces!

At that moment, other members of the Brookes family came out, heard the news, and one by one, they pulled out their phones. Seeing the posts made by Jared and Tina, a wave of angry curses erupted, "That little scoundrel, just wait, I'm going to tear him apart!"
