Chapter Chapter twenty six

“How is she hybrid?” I asked Lucian immediately she left angrily. I had no idea why she suddenly left angrily. I was at least happy she said she would try to help me get a reverse spell so I could get to know who this Olivia girl is.

“Let me show you around the pack territory and I'll tell you about Lucy. Deal?” He asked. I nod and he smiled at me. He held my hand in his as we walked away from the garden.

“There is a private pool right behind the garden and there is another beside the pack house for any pack member. I ensure it gets cleaned regularly” He explained.

“Lucy came to our pack as rouge when jack(I'm sorry if this wasn't the name I wrote for the beta. I tried looking through the chapters but couldn't find it. If you remember it please leave it in the comment section and I will edit it, thanks) found her”

We walked past pups playing as he continued his story about Lucy.

“She was bruised up from running on her feet for three days through the bushes and rogue grounds” He continues.

“Who was she running from?” I couldn't help but ask the question.

“Her father” He answered.

“Why?” I asked again. Lucian smiled and talked again but this time not answering my question.

“You will find out along the line. Let me continue the story” He said and I agreed with him.

“As I was saying, Lucy was running towards the pack because she knew her soulmate was here. Her magic helped her know. She comes from the most powerful which line, the grinders. You must have heard of them” He said. I nodded, no.

“Really. Do you know about the witch Valerie and her sister grace?. Valerie who cursed Luna Richardo(a reference to my recently completed werewolf novel) and bounded her shifting to the full moon?” He asked.

“ I thought it was rumour” I answered honestly.

“Well, it isn't. Luna was not actually cursed directly. Her grandfather the father of the popular Lycan, Donald Richardo’s first daughter was cursed but he had no female child so the curse passed on to Don” He explained. Honestly, I was more interested in this story now.

“Was she able to break her bond to the full moon?” I asked. He nodded.

“Yes” He answered.

“When did this happen?” I inquired again curioussly.

“A hundred years ago,” He told.

“So she is dead” I mumbled.

“No. She's very much alive” I stared at him in shock.

“How?”

“She’s a Lycan, they have a longer life span than regular wolves and other types of wolves” He confessed.

“There are types of wolves?” I asked almost screaming.

“Do you know anything about wolves at all?” He asked looked genuinely concerned that I didn't know all of these.

“No” I replied.

“I’ll show you to the library and tell you basic things you should know” He said.

“Thank you” I mumbled when I did not know what to say to him.

“Let me continue about Lucy,” He said. I wanted to disagree and ask him to tell me more about wolves and Luna Richardo and her curse but I did not. It doesn't matter which story he mentions first, he promised to tell me more about the second some other time so I just listened to Lucy's story.

“As I said she comes from the Grinder’s bloodline making her powerful. She sensed a pull towards this pack but being a wolf also she connected the dots and knew her mate was here so she ran here for refuge” He continued about Lucy.

We walked past the field. He was showing me around the pack borders.

“This was where we found Lucy years ago. Jack and I were just coming back from an outing when he said he could scent his soulmate. I left them alone because she was not comfortable with my presence. After few minutes I got worried and went back to check up on him”

“Stop” Lucy shouted at me but I didn't listen. She got scared and used her magic to force my wolf out, the worst part was that she intentionally left stay I'm the agony of a force shift without actually shifting” He explained, the horror of that day evident in his voice but he had a smile on his face.

“Was that a happy memory because you are smiling” I snapped unintentionally.

“Definitely not a happy memory but thinking back I see the strong, scared girl of years ago”

“Of course. She is strong. I know that” I roll my eyes. He didn't say anything.

“Is there more to her story?” I asked. I was honestly curious so I let it slide and listened to the rest of it.

“Jack begged her to stop and she did thankfully. She apologised to me after and explained she was scared. What could I do but accept? Jack was my beta. Ever since then we've been really good friends” He finished. Is that what he calls more to the story?.

“ Do the pack members know that Lucy is a hybrid?” He nodded, his head moving left to right.

“How has she been able to keep it a secret?”

“She doesn't practice magic only when she is in that garden that she has cloaked with a spell so no one even knows it's there” He confessed.

“What does she mean by she almost got to him. Is she trying to find someone?” I inquired of him.

“It’s nothing you should bother yourself about” I sigh. Of course, I can't know what it is about.

“Ok, but where is Jack?” I asked. He is beta and I have not met him for almost a week I've been here.

“He has some work he's attending to in Africa. He should be back in three days” He informed me.

“Ok,” I mumbled.

“This is the end lt the pack” He announced when we reached the border that had three warriors standing there, protecting the pack. A job my parents died for.

We made our way back to the pack area and back to the house but before we entered I remembered Megan and the letter I read yesterday and I decided to ask Lucian about it despite my fear. I had to do something for her even if it meant asking Lucian for help this big. Will he help if he knows the dangers involved in helping her?

“ I need your help” I blurted out immediately. He turned his head.
