I was already feeling sleeping and with the way the cloud was I could tell it was already close to daybreak so I closed the book and hid it under the bed. I closed my eyes for what seemed like an hour and work up again.

Not trying to get some sleep I stood up and cleaned the room. Something I did every day but hasn't in a day or two. I used that as an opportunity to clean up before I went into the bathroom to bath with my new body wash and shampoo Lucian got me days before. I took my time because I knew I had woken up too early so anything to take some time off me.

When I finished in the bathroom I came out to pick out a new cloth to wear for the day which wasn't as easy as before. I now have a lot of clothes and I do not know which one to wear. I haven't even had the time to arrange the clothes into the closet. That's a chore for another day.

I finally pick out an outfit which was a brown sundress. I packed my hair up in a loose bun and I sat down to pick out the book again to read when the door to the room suddenly burst opened. I pushed the book back and stood up.

“What are you doing here!” I asked, panicked. Henrietta looked at me as if trying to read me before she replied.

“Uhm_ wake you up like I do all the time” She answered me.

“Yeah, yeah, sorry good morning Rietta” I added my voice loud because of how I scared I was.

“Are you ok Rain?” She asked touching me. I force a smile.

“Yes of course” I assured her. She smiled at me.

“In that case, I'm here to help you pick a swimsuit” She announced walking past me to my clothes in the shopping bags on the floor in the far corner of the room. I followed her.

“What? Why?” I asked.

“Lucian’s order” She replied. Lucian.

“What for?” I asked again. She shrugged.

“I don't know. Swimming?” Of course swimming. It's a swimsuit she is looking for. Lucian did not listen to me yesterday night so he must listen to me now because nobody believing a thing I say is really annoying.

“Yeah” I force a laugh.

“So Rain do you think my brother is proving himself yet?” She asked me. I was not paying attention so I immediately turned to her and nodded

“Yeah,” I said.

“Do you like my brother?” She asked.

“Did Lucian put you up to this?” I asked slightly irritated.

“No. I'm just curious”

“Honestly, no. It's been just a week” I defended.

“Wolves get together with their mates in less than a week” She countered.

“Maybe I'm not like other wolves,” I said.

“Not going to start an argument with that simple opinion” She mumbled but I heard and I chose to ignore it

With me showing no interest in picking a swimsuit Rietta also lost interest in helping me out so she just picked a blue one and dropped it on the bed on her way out.

“See you at the table” She left without a smile. I released a long breath before changing into the one-piece blue swimsuit. It was backless with this hole in front of it revealing my cleavage. I put on my sundress again on the swimsuit to go down for breakfast.

I never knew I could lose appetite this fast. Lucy and Lucian smiling. Lucy acting like she didn't do anything last night and Lucian, Lucian just simply annoying the crap out of me.

“Good morning,” I said as I sat at the table gulping down a bottle of water.

“You’re not going to eat?” Lucian asked. I nodded, no before standing up to leave the house. Lucian came after me.

“What is wrong with you,” He asked holding my hands.

“I just don't feel like staying there with everyone” I lied.

“You will eventually have to give everyone a chance,” He said.

“I don't have to be friends with everyone to stay here” I counter.

“You know what let's go swimming”

“I don't know how to swim” I inform him.

“Good. I can teach you and you can tell me what happened yesterday night” He said out loud. I smiled at him and he did the same pulling me behind the packhouse where the private pool was at.

He dived in.

“You can come in slowly I'll show you the basics” He promised.

“I think I will seat here for a while” I refused seating at the poolside with my legs in the water. This will do. He swam closer to me and he placed his wet hands on my now exposed thighs.

“Are you ready to talk about what happened yesterday?” He asked. I nodded.

“I had this weird dream again. I got scared so I stood up to come to you but I got pulled inside the library by Lucy and she did her little which thing and she reversed the spell she casted years ago. She hates me because of what happened years ago. All I did was ask for permission from her dad” I explained. He looked at me for a while before talking.

“You know I have to ask Lucy about this too. She doesn't practice magic anymore. She hasn't in years. I need to know what happened” I pushed his hands off me.

“You said she was Olivia that day. You know these dots are getting connected but you're scared if you choose to believe you won't be able to trust her and you don't want that!” I yelled.

“You don't need to get so defensive. I just need to hear from her” He looked ahead of me and I knew he was sending a mind link.

“You are really going to bring her here right now. She can wait” I frown at him.

“You seem so worked up about it. I doubt you will have any fun if I don't do any about this”

“Fine, what_”

“Hey, Raina” I roll my eyes and turned to send her a glare.

“How are you here so fast,” I asked angrily.

“Lucian you said you needed to ask me a question” She ignored what I asked. Lucian sighed and mumbled.

“You girls are driving me crazy” I of course heard him again but I did not say anything about that.

“Were you in the library last night?” He asked.

“No. I haven't been there in months Lucian. You know that” Her expression turned soft and vulnerable that I wanted to pluck out her heart from her chest. Snake!

“Thank you, Lucy. I'll see you later” He smiled at her.

“Have fun guys” She waved and walked away. He finally turned to look at me. He moved to talk to me but I stopped him.

“I didn't expect you to believe me over your female beta!” I spat. Lucian’s facial expression changed to that of anger.

“You don't have to get so defensive when you don't get your way, Raina. You need to be calm and let's get to the bottom of this” He retorted.

“There is nothing to know. She still practices magic and she was in the library last night!” I screamed.

“You make it really hard to reach out to you. And you are making it so had to believe you right now with his defensive you are being”

“I AM SAYING THE TRUTH!” I screamed again this time my claws out. I quickly stood up and moved away from Lucian.

“Rain_” Lucian started.

“No. Don't come near me,” I said not recognizing my own voice.

Before I knew it I was on all fours running out of the pack territory. As soon as I knew I was not in the lack territory anymore I changed and rested with my naked form on a tree and let my tears fall freely. I am angry at Lucian for not believing me. Why does he have so much trust in that girl?

“Look what we have here” I hurriedly stood up and backed away from the tall lean man staring at me with a smirk.

“Get away from me!”

“I have a proposal for you Raina” My eyes go wide.

“Who are you and how did you know my name?” I asked still walking back.

“I’m what people call the vampire king” He smirked.
