Little bites, alpha(to be taken down for editing)

Lucian finished his meal and topped it with two glasses of water.

“Thank you again for the tour,” I said when we both stood up. He smiled at me.

“No, thank you for the opportunity you are giving me to make it up to you” He moved ahead of me and stopped in front of me. I was about to talk when he suddenly pulled me into a hug.

I let myself get lost in his warm embrace. I felt safe in his arms. Allowing his scent to engulf me in its warmth. His hands were on my lower back with mine on his back.

“I really have to get to a meeting now. Get some rest, you need it” He whispered before he let go of me. I stood staring at him as he left me. I have to find Henrietta, she wasn't here for lunch.

“Aaaaahhh” I screamed when I accidentally met with Henrietta on the staircase as soon as I made the move to climb she was already there.

“It’s just me,” She said quickly holding my hands in hers. I took deep breaths and nodded.

“You took me by shock” I explained.

“I was shocked too. By the way, how was your day with Luciannn” She asked excitedly.

“It was just a tour” I hurriedly added because Rietta could make up a whole story of what happened if I didn't help her out here.

“Just a tour? No kisses?” She asked sounding disappointed. I moved my head from left to right.

“No kisses” I answered.

“You both are so boring” She complained. I shook off what she said.

“Tell me about the pack. I'll be here for a while why not learn a few things about the pack?” Her face lightened up with a big smile.

“Of course. Let's go to my room” She announced. She basically dragged me to her room because she was so excited about doing this.

She unlocked the now-familiar door and let me go in. We both sat on her bed when she started.

“First things first. Our pack is led by Lucian as you know. He became alpha when he was twenty-two” She started. She continued about other basic things that happen in their packs like a mating ceremony for the alpha and his luna.

“Are you interested in history? I mean the history of each supernatural being there are?” She asked. Something inside me awoke when she said that. I only know a few things about wolves and I am one. I need to change that. Although Lucian said he was going to tell me more about other supernatural beings I was still very curious and I needed to know more. I smiled at her with my lips already twitched upward with a big smile.

“Then I have somewhere to show you,” She said standing up and I did the same, I followed her as she made her way to the turning leading to the third floor.

She stopped right on the first stairs and turned back to me with her index finger on her lips.

“We don't want Lucian disturbed” I felt it was more than that like she wasn't supposed to show me this place but she is doing it either way. I just nodded and followed her. She stopped right on the first door on the right. Unlike the usual locks, this had a digital scan. She placed her right index finger and the door was opened.

“This is one of the rooms he said was off-limits” I still said hoping it didn't sound harsh because I was just saying this randomly or maybe not very random.

“He probably thought you wouldn't be interested. It's nothing” She assures me.

“Of course”. Rietta moved inside the room and I followed.

As I walked in after Rietta the strong woody fragrance of old books hit my nostrils. I took in the smell for a while before going in for the visuals. The library was a small one but it was filled with lots of old books.

“This is the special alpha library. You can read whichever book you want till dinner” She said to me. I smiled at her for her generosity.

“What about that book?” I pointed at the big brown and overused book locked in a glass cage. Rietta sighs.

“That is off-limits, I'm sorry” She apologizes.

“It’s not your fault. Let me just check around if I will find anything that interests me” I announced. She nodded and waved her hands at me.

“Do whatever you want to let me get busy” She said moving to the other side of the library.

I came across different books about werewolves, witches, Lycans, vampires and even hybrids and many more I had no idea existed like the fairies and fox shapeshifters. Although I wanted to read them all now I knew it wasn't possible so I picked out a book that was titled

‘THE FEUD BETWEEN TWO WORLDS’

this was written in big bold engraved like the font on the hard black cover then there was another title underneath

‘THE WOLVES AND THE VAMPIRES’

in smaller font size. I sat down and opened the book.

The first page held the introduction, apparently, it was written by a human slave that the werewolf owned at the time who was killed because he knew too much for his own good. He had his knowledge documented which is now the book in my hand. This human was named Christos. Christos was an eighteen years old slave that was used as an exchange for his family’s death. Christ's even went as far as to mention who he had suspected killed him. To say I was shocked was an understatement.

‘For this, I know of, my master shall be displeased with the knowledge I hold and send me to my ancestors’ I stared at the page with wide eyes but still continued to open the book.

The more I read the more curious I got for the end of the story.

“It’s almost time for dinner we have to leave” Rietta whispered to me scaring the shit out of me.

“You’re going to give me a heart attack one of these days” I laughed after recovering from my shock. I closed the book but made sure I took note of the page I stopped at.

“What did you read?” She asked me.

“Apparently there are supernatural beings called vampires and they were friends with wolves for year's before a fight took place” I rambled on about the story I read while Rietta listened to me with a smile on as we walked back to the dining area for dinner I was surely down for.

I was happy to seat and eat. My food was a little too much but that didn't stop me from stuffing the Quesadilla that had both steak and chicken in it. The thing about wolves is that we eat a lot of meat. Any meal has to be dominated by meat. It was just a lifestyle for all of us.

I said my goodnights to Rietta. We both hugged and went to our different rooms. I didn't see Lucian and I just assumed he was still busy with work.
