SWNOVELS Chapter Chapter eleven
"You bitch! That's wrong" Lucy screams at me. I look at her with disdain. I manage to stand up. Walking out of the kitchen I turn to Lucy.
"You will learn to respect me one way or the other" She scoffs.
"The audacity. Who do you think you are coming into my pack and asking for respect?"
"I am your Luna, a choice I didn't make and this is my pack now! Live with it" I walk out still struggling.
I felt Lucian's presence behind me but I ignore it until he finally places his hand on my arm.
"Please wait" He begs. I turn back.
"I need to see to my wounds. Excuse me" I walk away to the room that was given to me.
I immediately go to the bathroom to wash the blood off my face. The touch of the water touching my cut on my face leaves a sting but I bit my lips to avoid me from shouting. When I finished with that I make my way to the shower and let the cold water pour on my sour body.
I hear a knock on the door, seeing that it's only Henrietta that comes up here to see me I give her the permission to come in.
"Come in" I call out with my eyes closed. I feel his presence even before I hear his voice. I sit up quickly pulling the sheets closer to myself.
"What do you want?" I ask. He signs and then signals for me to shift. Wearily I shift to the other side of the bed and he sits down. I remove my hand from the side of the bed when I see his attempt to touch my hands.
"I am sorry Raina. I haven't been the best mate but I want to make it up to you. I will be there from today" He begs.
"Rietta sent you here?" I ask taking deep breaths to calm my anxious wolf. Looking at it he hasn't done anything. It has been Lucy so far but he didn't stand up for me. He is giving her the chance to hurt me.
"Don't cry please" his thumb cleans my tears before I finally realize that tears have fallen from my eyes. I push his hands away from my face and clean my tears.
"I'm not crying" I argue. He doesn't argue back for that I am thankful because can't imagine arguing over something so obvious. Why did I just let him see me weak? What have I done. I stand up quickly.
"Leave, please Lucian leave" He looks confused.
"What did I do wrong Raina?" He asks which makes me angry.
"Don't ask me that!. You know exclamation how you've acted since I've been here yesterday" I say to him angrily.
"And I said i am sorry. What do you want?"
"Maybe you should start by acting like an alpha and a mate at least" I reply him.
"I promised you that already. Do you need anything"
Yes, I need you out of this place"
"Stop being difficult"
"Because you don't have me falling at your feet you think I'm being difficult?" I ask.
"We are mates and the moon goddess put us together. I don't see you leave here when you have my mark on you" He argues back. The nerve of this guy.
"You see, that's your problem"
"I don't have a problem"
"You think you can act anyhow and I will stay with you despite your shitty attitude? You must think I'm a joke"
He smirks at me moving his hands to my bare thigh underneath my sheets. I take a sharp breath then another when his hands trail upwards towards my sex. I close my eyes and try controlling my breaths. I've never felt anything like it before. Because I've never been with anyone.
"Stop" I command. He doesn't stop but instead he stands up abruptly and stays on top me me leaving only the sheets between us.
"Do you really want me to" His husky voice asked, the vibration of his voice on my neck as he placed his lips on his mark.
I close my eyes.
"Stop!" I say more firmly. I feel the heat on my mark leave and the weight has been lifted off the blanket. After making sure he wasn't on top of me anymore I open my eyes. I turn to look at him laying beside me already.
"What did you do that for?" I ask.
"I felt like it" He shrugs
"I can't just do that because you felt like it Lucian" I complain.
"You want me" He smirks as he replies me.
"Somethings are out my control but I won't let your attitude be" I tell him.
"Why are you doing this. Let me make things right" Lucian begs.
"You work for it because you've done a lot and right now I don't see myself ever forgiving you for leaving your mark on me without my permission"
"I will please Raina. I just want us to start again. I've not being responsible and now I promise to make things right if you just give me a chance" I close my eyes and sign.
" I don't mind start all over but I want you to show me that you really want this. You have seven days Lucian, seven days to prove to me that you really want this" I inform him of my decision.
"Ok. Seven days. What happens if you are not convinced?" He asks me.
"I think you should concentrate more on actually making this work" I say not able to hide my smile. He gives a faint smile in return and replies me.
"I will prove to you that I want you and I mean it Raina, I will make this work at all cost. I fold my hands.
"You start on Monday" I inform him. He smiles and moves to kiss a part of my face. I lean back and frown at him.
"Not yet" I smirk. He smiles and stands up.
"Thank you for giving me a chance Raina. You won't regret it" He promises as he leaves the room and I sign.
Not long after I hear a faint knock on my door. Knowing this time I can only be Henrietta I give her the permission to come in.
"It's open" I shout and I hear the creak of the door opening as I said that.
