Robert stopped in his tracks, turned to Marilyn, and tilted his head, asking, “What’s wrong, Ms. Quesnell?”
“Robert, please wake up!” Marilyn turned around and locked her gaze on Robert Tears welled up in her eyes. “I know that you are different now. The clothes you wear are worth hundreds of dollars from well–known brands, and the places you visit. are all high–end. But do you think these are meaningful to you?”
Robert laughed after hearing her words. “Marilyn, you’re one to talk. You looked down upon me when I was poor, and now I’ve got rich, but you still criticized me. Who do you think you are?”

Robert grinned and said, “Goodbye, Ms. Quesnell.”
After that, Robert strode forward without looking back.
Robert turned around at a quiet corner and looked at Marilyn’s back. His eyes got red at this point. “Marilyn, I’ll never be as good as Kendrick in your eyes. Just wait and see. One day, I will show that your choice is wrong!”
Marilyn crouched down in front of the Fairsaint Restaurant. Her tears fell uncontrollably to the ground drop by drop. Her body trembled slightly, and she wept.
