Robert took a deep breath and sighed, “My father suddenly gave all of these to me, so I could only assume he thinks highly of me, Carlos, do you have anything you want to say about the points I made earlier in the meeting room?”
Carlos nodded slightly and said, “I won’t question anything Mr. Zabinski has said. I will follow along and do it.”
Robert glanced at the clock hanging on the office wall and said, “Well, it’s almost the end of break time. There are other arrangements in the afternoon, so let’s quickly make a move.”
Carlos had a noticeable expression of relief in his eyes as he stared at Robert’s figure.
In the past two days, Robert was busy with various businesses of the Zabinski family. Robert had been exposed to completely unrelated things he had not dealt with before. He would deal with all these things carefully. Every night, it was three o’clock by the time Robert went to bed. For him, there was too little time every day. He would be experiencing something new the next day, so the time left to study and prepare was not much.
Every day, Carlos followed Robert and watched him make progress.
One morning, Carlos placed an invitation on Robert’s office table.
“Mr. Zabinski, this is the invitation letter from the Hoffman family of Lofbury. Today is Mr. Hoffman’s birthday party, and they want to invite Mr. Zabinski to Lofbury. The Hoffman family motorcade will be on standby for your perusal.”
After Carlos passed the message, he stopped talking and left the decision to Robert.
Robert had heard about the Hoffman family birthday party from Carlos before and had come to his decision. He nodded and said, “Let’s not trouble the Hoffman family. Carlos, get someone to drive me there. There is a dinner with the cultural tourism department at noon. You should head there.”
“Noted,” said Carlos as he nodded and stepped back.
Ten minutes later, a Maybach stopped in front of the Grand Triumphant Hotel. When Robert went downstairs, the driver in a black suit and white gloves had already opened the door and was waiting for Robert.
Lofbury was almost an hour’s drive away from Yrinas.
The Hoffman family’s status in Lofbury was equivalent to that of the Zabinski family in Yrinas. However, both Yrinas and Lofbury came under Navarre, and as the capital city of Navarre was Yrinas, the status of the Zabinski family was naturally above the Hoffman family.
Many people from Navarre came to celebrate the birthday of Stephen Hoffman, the head of the Hoffman family.
The invitees included Zabel Group’s Kendrick, who had just settled in Yrinas. Besides that, Marilyn, Naomi, and all these people had also shown up in the Hoffman manor.
The birthday banquet will start at 11:30 am. The Hoffman family directly arranged 23 tables in their manor. All the invitees. were powerful and well–known people in Navarre.
When Robert arrived at the door of the Hoffman manor, the banquet was almost about to begin.
Robert motioned the driver to stop the car, and he walked towards the banquet hall. He had just walked a few steps before he heard a mocking voice.
“If you ask me, Naomi has no clue about these things. It doesn’t matter if she wants to bring this trash that lives off a woman on other occasions. However, today is Mr. Hoffman’s birthday party. How could she bring along this trash?”
Robert could recognize this voice even without looking at the person.
“Kendrick, called out Robert as he turned to look at the speaker.
“What bad luck,” grumbled Kendrick as he looked at Robert with disgust. “Why did an eyesore like you come to Mr. Hoffman’s birthday party?”
Robert used to look naive. When facing Kendrick, Robert was constantly losing out in terms of aura and dressing. However, after a few days of transformation, Robert had lost some of his naivete. In front of Kendrick, Robert was not as vulnerable as before.
