Carlos glanced around and said, “Ladies and gentlemen, please leave.”
Several people got up, and their expressions looked several times more terrible than someone who had flunked their university entrance exam.
Barry was slumped in the chair. Among the companies Robert had mentioned earlier, the name of the company he represented was one of them!
Barry’s mental state was greatly provoked now. His former classmate, who had always been inferior to him, had now become an existence he could only look up to all his life. This kind of provocation was beyond Barry’s tolerance.
“Robert!” shouted Barry.
As everyone was bleakly leaving, Barry suddenly stood up from his seat and shouted at Robert.
Barry’s behavior made everyone around him look at him like he was a madman.
Carlos frowned.
Barry was being smacked in the face by Lucas, who was standing right next to Barry. The sound of the slap resounded throughout the room.
“What the hell are you doing?” growled Lucas as he grabbed Barry’s collar and dragged Barry outside.
It indicated that Lucas and Barry’s family had a very favorable relationship. Lucas would have distanced himself from Barry when the latter yelled at Robert just now if their relationship was only just an average one.
“It’s fine,” said Robert as he waved his hand. “Let him have his say.”
“Mr. Zabinski. I… Lucas faltered as he smiled at Robert.
Carlos showed a trace of impatience and scolded, “Didn’t you hear what Mr. Zabinski said? Let him have his say.”
Lucas dared not say anything more and loosened Barry’s collar.
Barry stared at Robert. His face had turned red because of Lucas‘ actions just now, Barry raged, “Robert! I know I offended you before this! I know that you don’t like me! Well, let me tell you now; whatever you have is only because of your father! I will not be any worse off than you in the future!”
When Robert heard this, he suddenly smiled, “Barry, let’s not talk about our earlier grievances with each other first. You indeed piss me off, but that’s not why I asked you to leave.”
“Then what’s the issue?” gritted Barry, unconvinced, “I won’t say that the plan made by our company is the best, but it’s absolutely in the top three. You kicked us out of the run. Isn’t that just because of personal grievances?”
Barry knew that the conflict between him and Robert could not be resolved. Hence, Barry just wanted to throw away all pretenses. He didn’t want to step aside obediently; especially for someone he didn’t even spare a glance for in the past.
Robert smiled and replied, “Your proposal is indeed good. It could be said that it is indeed excellent, but can I ask you, do you understand Yrinas?”
“Understand Yrinas?” echoed Barry. He was stunned for a moment before continuing, “Robert, what are you talking about?”
Robert glanced at the proposal in front of him and then took out the one from Barry’s company.
“Barry, your company proposes to take Yrinas as a development base. That is the so–called springboard. The heart of this center will be in first–tier and quasi–first–tier cities, right?”
“Yes!” agreed Barry, nodding confidently. “As far as my company is concerned, the development trend cannot be satisfied by a small city like Yrinas. I wanted to ask, is there anything wrong with my proposal?”
Robert looked at Barry with a faint smile, shook his head, and nodded again.
Those who were looking at Robert’s actions were puzzled.
Barry asked loudly, “Robert, what do you mean? Stop talking in riddles with me!”
Now that Barry had acted recklessly in despair, he was already at the point of disregarding everything.
Robert smiled, “Barry, your idea is indeed not bad, but there are too many people with good ideas. In truth, your idea is the most naive one I have ever seen.”
