Robert smiled bitterly at Samuel and Carlos and said, “Carlos, let’s end this display first. I have a graduation party tonight.”
Carlos nodded slightly. He picked up the walkie–talkie and gave some instructions. Then, he turned around and walked out of the school gate.
Before Carlos left, he said to Robert, “Mr. Zabinski, from today on, there are 17 companies under your name. You can find someone to manage them together.”
After uttering those words, Carlos cast a brief glance at Samuel and the others standing beside Robert. Carlos was aware of his position and knew that it wasn’t up to him to decide whether Samuel and the others could intern at the company. As a butler, he was merely offering suggestions to Robert.
Robert quickly understood Carlos‘ suggestion. He patted Samuel’s shoulder and said, “Hey, Samuel, did you hear about the companies earlier? You can choose which company you want to work for and the position you want as long as you think you can handle it.”
When Robert said that, at least hundreds of envious eyes fell on Samuel and the others.
Everyone had previously laughed at Samuel and his friends because they thought they could not get internships due to their relationship with Robert. Their resumes were even tossed aside. The three of them were given the opportunity to choose from over a dozen companies and hold any position they felt they were capable of, even that of a general manager.
It was much better to be a general manager in such a big company than to be the boss of one’s own business!
