Let Me Go, My Ex-husband

Chapter 6

Lindsay turned around and saw the man in a wheelchair being pushed in. He had deep features and good looks, and even in a wheelchair, no one dared to despise him. Wasn't this the face of the man she saw in the fitting room, who was flirting with the woman?

He turned out to be the young master of the Jones family?

But in the fitting room, she clearly saw that he was able to stand up and held the woman in his arms, and there seemed to be nothing wrong with his legs.

What was going on?

Before she could figure out why this man was pretending to be lame, Gavin called out to her, "Lindsay, come here quickly, this is the young master of the Jones family."

Gavin shrugged his shoulders in a flattering manner, and offered an ingratiating smile, "Master Jones, this is Lindsay."

Gavin felt sorry for the young master of the Jones family, who has become disabled despite his good looks.

Hugo set his sights at Lindsay, who looked young, too skinny, and seemed a little malnourished. Then he frowned.

This was the marriage his mother set for him, plus his mother has died, he could not break the agreement as he was the son. So, after he was accidentally bitten by a poisonous snake abroad, he deliberately released the news that he was not able to get detoxified, and became disabled and got sexual dysfunction, just to get the Forrest family to backtrack.

To his surprise, the Forrest family did not go back on their word.

Hugo was silent, and his face became more and more gloomy. Gavin thought he was dissatisfied, and hastened to explain, "She is still young, just turned eighteen, and when she grows up, she will be a beauty."

Hugo sneered in his heart, did not think she would be a beauty, only felt unusual, for Gavin wanted to marry his daughter to him even though he was a 'cripple'.

He looked indifferent, and the curve of his lips seemed meaningful, "I was accidentally injured when I went abroad on business, and I'm afraid I can't walk on the ground with these legs, and I can't perform my husbandly duties..."

"I don't mind." Lindsay immediately replied.

Gavin promised her that he would return her mother's dowry as soon as she married into the Jones family, and even if she got married the first day and divorced the next, now she would have to promise.

After digesting the information for a

while, Lindsay figured out all the things. He clearly could stand up, but came to the Forrest family in a wheelchair, probably because he did not want to meet the engagement for the sake of that woman and wanted the Forrest family to reverse the engagement first.

He just didn't think that Gavin would be willing to sacrifice her, his less favored daughter, to finish the deal.

Hugo narrowed his eyes and stared at her.

A shiver ran down Lindsay's spine as he looked at her, and she felt bitter, why would she want to marry into the Jones family?

How could she go back to her country and get back what she had lost if she didn't agree?

She pulled the corners of her lips, and showed a smile, only she knew the bitterness and astringency of it, "Our marriage has been planned since we were small, I should marry yout whatever you become."

Hugo's eyes darkened a little, thinking this woman was a good talker.

Gavin did not recognize anything wrong, and asked tentatively, "And the wedding date..."

Hugo's expression changed rapidly, and finally returned to calm, "Of course, it's according to the agreement, which has been set by the two families for a long time, how can we break it."

Lindsay lowered her eyes and collected her thoughts, not daring to look at him, it was obvious that he was also unhappy with the marriage.

He agreed now, but only because it was an agreement.

"That's good." Gavin was rejoiced. It was naturally good to become relatives by marriage with the Jones family through a daughter who was not outstanding.

Although the Forrest family was rich, it was simply pale in comparison with the Jones family, no, to be precise, it was like a shrimp and a shark compared with the Jones family. There was no comparison between them at all!

Gavin bent over and said in a low voice, "I've had dinner prepared, please stay here for dinner before you leave."

Hugo frowned, finding his scandalous attitude of being timeserving and subservient repulsive.

"No, I have things to do." Hugo

refused and Jim Griffin pushed him out the door. As he passed Lindsay, Hugo raised his hand to signal Jim to stop and he lifted his eyes. "Miss Forrest, do you have a moment?"
