Chapter CHAPTER X: ARAMORDT (6)
“Take him to the North,” he continued. “Enter the Merđhen region, until you reach the Region of Nerea. On the outskirts of it, you will find a couple of large stubble fields. In their midst, there´s a very small village, called by the name of Antra. At the entrance of any of the humble homes, you will leave the basket. And watch out for the windstorms! I do not want them to turn to the mountains of Mordük, after this area, dangerous volcanoes come. We don’t need to go so far. Hurry up! I want to get out of this quickly”.
The dragons turned, and rose holding the baby by the two long ends of the special basket. They ascended in between the heights of the kingdom while the others watched, and moved away between the skies overwhelmed with smoke, to the north of the region.
The crowd began to disperse, as Argôn ’s legends were to remain forever in the Gardens, and the voices quickly began to run on what his destiny would be.
Dāel then, approached Wiz. The King was tremendously tired.
“Sir,” he exclaimed, “Is the trial over?”
“That’s right,” said Wiz. “I was informed that you were in charge to complete Anaís’ mission. Has everything finished well? I don’t want any more bad news, Dāel.”
“Yes sir,” the dragon swallows fearfully. “We have eradicated the place completely.”
“Good,” he continued. “In that case, I sill retire. I need rest–”
“But wait sir. There is something I must show you.”
“What is happening now?”
“I can only trust in you for this situation. It is very delicate.”
“Well, I hope you don’t have to go to Anaís to verify anything. I don’t want any more surprises, Dāel.”
“We won´t have to” responded the dragon. “It is a problem that I have in the adjoining mountains.”
“Okay, let’s go fast.” exclaimed Wiz.
The dragons descended quickly from the gardens. They reached the mountains and entered the lost cave.
“Dāel, can you explain what we are doing here?”
“Sir, look forward.”
At the end of the cave, there were bright eyes that looked at both dragons. The children had already risen, were confused, overwhelmed, and full of fear. Silence flooded them.
“Who are these children?” asked the Golden King.
“They are the children of Argônæth, sir. They have a strange energy. Do you perceive it?”
“They are of the Agnarok race, son.”
“Agnarok, sir?” asked Dāel.
“That’s right,” Wiz exclaimed. “The race is born from a mixture between a sorceress and a Raēn. They are very powerful, and very strange.”
“I didn’t know this was possible, sir.”
“Neither did I, son. “responded Wiz. “There are ancient theories, in which they talk about possible mergers of this type, but never have I seen them in real life; I think, this will be the first time. I knew about the existence of these sons of Argôn, but I thought that he had yielded his royal spirit in his transformation. The sorceress did her job pretty well.
“Well, I had observed them before, sir” said Dāel. “But I didn’t give them major importance, until now The sorceress had them sheltered in a Field of Light. I supposed I had to eliminate them, but I didn’t know what to do with them, sir. They are very strange, and they are innocent of all this. It would be a shame to eliminate them, but I really don’t think I can do it. What should we do?”
“Their lives do not correspond to us, Dāel” said the Golden King. “I understand what you say, but we can’t do anything about it. Let’s leave them here.”
Dāel stammered and was surprised by the decision of the King. He was a being full of empathy, and he could not see the helpless children end up like that.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea to leave them here, sir” he said. “They are children sir, they will starve, and they will do so quickly. They are weak, and they will not be able to survive the anguish of this world alone among the three. At least in this way, they won’t.”
“What do you propose then?” asked Wiz.
Dāel looked at the triplets, not knowing what to do. Then he turned decisively towards Wiz.
“Turn them into young adults, sir” he exclaimed. “Is it possible to do this?”
“Well, it is possible.” he said.
“In this way, we will know that they can settle for themselves, and continue on their way through the mountain areas. Perhaps in this way they are more likely to survive.”
“Something tells me you’re right” exclaimed the Golden King. “Let’s do it!”
