Legends of Kepler: The Dragon & The Woman

Chapter CHAPTER VII: INHERENCE (4)

The young sorceress rose from her bed, having nightmares about dragon creatures. Immediately, he felt the call of a being. She sensed it in the warm rays of light that entered her room, indicating the perpetuity of destiny; a destiny she must face.

She left her house, wrapped in a post-dawn environment that flashed the magic that surrounded the pink landscapes of the planet, but her clairvoyance was specific; the dragon was waiting for her.

Eager to hear the news, Amalia headed down the same path from her garden; this time, without mentioning anything to her mother. In a subtle and delicate way, she directed her steps until she entered the perpendicular beginning of the forest.

Inside the hills, the sorceress enjoyed delicious aromas. Peculiar, which opened the way to the entrance of the springs. Step by step, thought after thought, the young magician went through what looked like the longest path of her life. She was sure that this day would be the day where she would find the solution. She knew it.

When she got inside Rihëren, she found in the mysterious springs the prostrated dragon on the edge of a small lake. His presence radiated the mysticity of a divine creature, facing the uncertainty and powerless that had eaten away his soul, and his heart.

Although at this time, the space experienced by the woman was quite different. The dragon embodied a delicate, deeper image; he emanated colors never seen by the young woman before. It was the real presence of an emblematic creature, feeding on the power of the starlight; contemplating serious concern with courage and optimism, getting lost in the undulating, seemingly infinite movements of water waves. Among the currents that crossed on each other. In that moment, Amalia knew for sure, this image would remain in her mind for her entire life. For all eternity.

“Argôn?” asked Amalia.

“It is imminent” said Argôn.

“Is that so?” said the teary woman.

“The attack on your people, is led by barbarians from far away regions.”

The dragon had not finished mentioning these words, when the sorceress lost stability in her body. Her knees faltered until she found herself in the fertile ground, dropping elegantly. In her mind, all the visions of her dreams began to run. One after another. Her worst nightmares, were about to come true.

“Argôn, I can’t deal with this. I will not endure this battle” said the woman.

“Listen to me, you are a strong sorceress. Your father has sent you the greatest knowledge and the greatest potential of all the elements that lies within these nations; we have trained and prepared you well. I will not allow you to lose.”

“The battle is a mental one; it´s an emotional war” she responded. “I don’t have that strength to resist the death of my people. It is the destruction of everything that has meaning to me. It´s a story destroyed page by page. Hope and joy will die in me, Argôn. My mother will be annihilated and there is nothing that can be done; it is what it is. It is what will happen. I can feel it. I will not have anyone else.”

“You are not alone in this! Stop being so tragic!” said the dragon. “How can you say these things? I have sworn to protect you with my life, and I will not allow you to decay in this test.”

“Argôn you should not do anything. It is written.”

“As long as I can breathe, I can do something” replied the dragon. “And as long as I live, I can help you solve your things. If I have to intervene, I will. And if this battle involves losing you, then I won´t allow it. I´ll never let that happen.”

“Argôn, you are a Raēn, please understand” she answered. “You´re a sacred creature; a direct descendent from the divine lineage. In our events, you cannot interfere. The clause says it:

7.47: Dragons should not interfere in the course of the land even if they destroy each other. These purposes will be exclusive and pertaining only to Elgoneth, the Architect of Life.”

“I am not interested in any clause” Argôn replied. “I will help you to get out of this situation alive. Even if that means to sacrifice my life for it.”
