Legends of Amacia The Awakening

Chapter 29 Secrets of the Living Earth

A half a world away at Tiamat, Dan sat alone in the cafeteria sipping on some tea thinking about Hannibal and his team. The clock in the cafeteria chimed 9:00 PM, causing him to glance at the clock as it chimed. A sigh escaped his lips as he leaned back in the chair. Earlier, he’d monitored the phenomena now swirling over Mt. Aconcagua like a monster hurricane. A two hundred mile radius around the mountain was uninhabitable from the firestorm of recent asteroid strikes and the punishing lightning storms that swept over that entire area. Winds at the surface had risen to hurricane strength with wind speeds in the strange cloud topping 150 mph. The smoke and energy from the surface fires seemed to be drawn into the cloud much the way a tornado picks up debris. The governments of Argentina and Chile had evacuated every person within three hundred miles of Mt. Aconcagua because of the lethality of the phenomenon and because they observed it slowly spreading. Yet only a handful of news outlets reported on the calamity unfolding in South America because of World War III spreading across south Asia and the Middle East and the increasing rate of volcanic eruption, earthquakes, and catastrophic meteor storms pummeling the planet.

“I sure hope they’re okay,” Dan murmured to himself, not seeing Paul approaching.

“Who do you hope is okay?” Paul asked as he procured a cup of water and sat down beside Dan. “There are many who are in need of that prayer these days.” His words startled Dan, making him jump in his seat.

“Geeze, Paul...don’t sneak up on me like that,” Dan chided. “You scared me.”

“Sorry, brother,” Paul apologized. “I didn’t mean to startle you. But I can see you’re worried about something. Do you need a friendly ear? I’m here if you care to share.”

“I’m worried about Hannibal and his team,” Dan admitted. “Things in Argentina are getting really dangerous. The storm around Aconcagua is getting worse.”

“Oh,” Paul murmured, taking a sip from his cup of water. “I see. But you mustn’t worry. They’re doing the Lord’s work there. He’s not going to let them die before finishing it.”

“I know,” Dan stated softly, sipping on his tea. “But I can’t help but worry about them, especially Hannibal. I wonder if he survived the Arena he spoke about or whether he was changed back into a man. I wonder if it can even be done.”

“I didn’t get to see what you did,” Paul stated. “But I know you were telling me the truth when you said Hannibal had been somehow changed into a woman. I cannot fathom the evil that would do such a thing. But I know this much. If the Lord had this Emperor change Hannibal into a woman, surely the Lord can change him back. We must have faith that the Lord will set this thing right. They will be okay and everything will be made right. You’ll see. Still, I can’t help but be curious about how Hannibal is dealing with being changed into a woman. How did he make the transition from male to female on a mental and spiritual level? How does it affect Selina and their relationship? Is it causing him to question his faith, or to do things he shouldn’t? I don’t know.”

“I can’t answer that,” Dan answered. “But I know when Gabriel took me to see Hannibal in that dungeon I saw that he’d somehow adapted to be a woman very well. For one thing, he’s calling himself Hanna while he’s like that. He said he had to adopt a female persona in order to keep from going nuts. I’ll never forget that meeting. I didn’t recognize Hannibal at first. Only when I saw the scar above his heart did I realize Hannibal had really been changed physically into a woman. And beautiful...wow! Hanna’s gorgeous, even though I did see her in some rather scandalous attire. It never occurred to me that Hannibal had such beauty locked inside him. It took being forcibly turned into a woman to bring it out. I wish you could have seen it, but not with what she was forced to wear. It was humiliating and I was so embarrassed when I saw her in that scandalous leather teddy.”

Paul smiled, hearing Dan’s passion. He patted Dan on the arm. “Sounds like you liked what you saw,” he commented.

Dan blushed. “I did. I couldn’t help it,” he murmured. “She was smoking hot.”

“It’s quite all right,” Paul said softly with a chuckle. “I can tell you kept it dignified, and so did she in those circumstances. Besides, with Gabriel present, I know nothing happened.”

“Well, she did briefly flirt with me,” Dan admitted, his blush deepening. “But Gabriel told Hanna to cut it out, which she did. Apparently, she sees the mutation as the Lord’s chastisement for unrepented sins.”

“Maybe it is,” Paul replied. “Or maybe it’s something bigger. I did pray about that when you first told me about this incident, and the Lord affirmed what you said. It’s something that Hannibal has to go through for his own personal benefit. Yet, I can’t help but think it’s something more than just a severe scourging for unrepented sins. We’re not seeing the big picture here with Hannibal and this forcible sex change.”

“I agree,” Dan murmured. “Something incredible is happening to her that I can’t quite put my finger on. Still, I just wish I could see her again just to know she’s all right.”

“I know you do,” Paul agreed. “So do I. But unless the Lord moves, we must just have faith that she, Selina, Nathanael, and Harry are okay.”

A coronal flash appeared without warning, driving away every shadow in the cafeteria. “What the heck?” Dan cried out in surprise, dropping his glass of tea on the floor as the flash blinded him and Paul. He slumped in the chair as his strength vanished.

“Don’t be afraid,” a voice called from the light, a voice familiar to both Dan and Paul. “I won’t hurt you.” The light diminished as Dan and Paul felt a hand touch them on the shoulder. “Be strengthened in the power of the Lord. He has something you must see,” the voice declared.

When Dan and Paul’s vision returned, they saw the archangel Gabriel hovering over them with his hands on them. He had a sober smile on his face. Around him stood four powerful war angels armed for battle. Every angel, including Gabriel had on heavenly armor that glittered like gold flakes in the light on a windy sea. “Come, my friends,” he instructed, drawing them to their feet by the hand. “You must be made aware of what’s happening.”

“Gabriel,” Paul breathed. “Why are you here? Has something happened we need to know about?”

“Yes,” Gabriel stated. “Events are in motion that cannot be undone. Ancient horrors stir in the darkness of Amacia, calling out for assistance. Their call will be answered as the old alliances of the 1st Age re-emerge after eons. Hanna must be made aware of what is happening here on the surface, and you two must bear witness to the truth of FATE and Grimm. Soon, the battle for the soul of all creation will commence. Come...we must go now while there’s time.”

“Is Hanna in danger?” Dan asked.

“Yes,” Gabriel answered, “...as is all of creation. Come...we must go now while the window is still open to reach them.”

“Okay,” Paul replied, hearing Gabriel’s insistence. “Show us what the Lord has ordered you to share.”

Gabriel grabbed their hands and said, “Do not fear at what you see as we descend into the pits of Amacia. Come.” In the blink of an eye, Dan, Paul, Gabriel, and their angelic guard floated in low earth orbit over Easter Island. Off to the east, they saw the mysterious hurricane phenomenon swirling over Mt. Aconcagua in the Andes. It was barely visible on the horizon, like a ghost. It flashed ominously.

“Why have we stopped here?” Dan asked. “And where is here?”

“We’re fifty miles over Rapa Nui, what you know as Easter Island,” Gabriel stated. “Look to the east. What do you see?”

“I see a strange glowing cloud that doesn’t appear real,” Paul reported. “It’s like a ghost, but I can feel a deep darkness coming from it that seeks to swallow all life and light. It makes me deeply afraid.”

“You have seen truly,” Gabriel stated. “What you sense is the Darkness imprisoned in Amacia slowly being drawn from its grave by the storm. Soon, it will break open that grave so the Lord may destroy the evil that has festered there since the 1st Age.”

“How will it do that?” Dan asked, feeling icy chills racing down his spine. “Does the planetary alignment with Planet X and Gabriel’s Hammer have anything to do with this?”

“It has everything to do with it,” Gabriel answered. “They are the mechanism for the cleansing of this planet. The storm there is a spawn of their presence in this time and space. Understand; the storm you see is no ordinary storm. It feeds on twisting magnetic field line interactions of Gabriel’s Hammer, Nibiru, the Sun, and the major planets. Time and space is being warped in ways your human minds cannot comprehend. Before this storm is done, it will redefine the surface of this planet, particularly in South America.”

“Are you saying this thing is a magnetic storm of celestial proportions?” Dan asked.

“I am,” Gabriel stated bluntly. “This storm has the potential to rip time and space in ways only the Lord can see. I dread to see it at its climax. It has the power to destroy everything on this planet.”

“Will it?” Paul asked with concern. “Since it’s obvious that this storm is the Lord’s doing, will He destroy the righteous with the wicked to purge this world of Lucifer’s rebellion?”

A worried, sober look crossed Gabriel’s face. “You beg for the righteous as Abraham did when we destroyed Sodom,” he replied softly, “You ask the same question he did. Never fear, my friends...the Lord will not slay the righteous with the wicked. He made a promise and He will keep it. The righteous will not die with the wicked. The storm will not purge all life from this planet, but it will be a severe chastisement for humanity because of its rebellion. It will reverse what the Lord did in the Deluge, reveal the corrupt core of Amacia to the light so it can be purged and healed of the Darkness that overtook it in the 1st Age. But make no mistake; what this storm will do will not be pleasant by any stretch of the imagination. It will shake the perception and faith of every soul on this planet. When this is finished, every being on this planet will know who and what the Lord is and will tremble.”

“That sets my heart at ease,” Paul said softly. “Thank you for reassuring us.”

Gabriel smiled warmly. “The Lord said you’d beg for the lives of the righteous, brother,” he stated. “It’s good to see His word come to pass in such a profound manner. I know neither of you understand what the storm truly is and that’s okay. Just know the storm is the Lord’s doing. He’s working out His will for everyone. But now, we must go into the darkness of Amacia.”

“Are we going in through the storm?” Dan asked. “I remember when you spirited me into the dungeon to see Hanna the last time we came in through the mountain.”

“No,” Gabriel declared. “We shall approach from beneath. The storm is too treacherous for us to penetrate it. The Lord said to approach from the Earth’s core. That way we do not get caught in the twisting magnetic fields that warp reality as you know it, which could destroy you.”

“Okay,” Dan said. “Lead on, my friend. Show us what stirs in the darkness of Amacia. I’m eager to see Hanna again.”

“I know you are,” Gabriel replied, grabbing the hands of Dan and Paul. “Come, we shall enter here and do not be afraid. I am charged with your protection. No harm will befall you.”

“Right,” Paul murmured, curious as to how Gabriel was going to bring them into Amacia from underground.

Before either Dan or Paul could form a coherent thought, Gabriel led them into the sea off the coast of Easter Island. In a blink, they passed through the tens of thousands of feet of water into the ocean floor. Both of them stared in astonishment as they moved through solid rock like ghosts with Gabriel and his angelic guard. They passed through many magma channels, often surfing them. “We’re almost there,” Gabriel announced ten minutes after plunging into the ocean with Dan and Paul. “Hold on, fellas.”

“How are we doing this?” Paul asked as they seemingly swam through a river of molten rock like fish without being incinerated. “I know the Lord is allowing this to happen, but how is it happening?”

“You needn’t worry about that,” Gabriel chimed. “The Lord protects us from the hazards around us. He has granted me the power to encapsulate you in a dimensional field to shield you as we move through this magma and other hazards of His creation. Right now, you’re slightly out of phase with your reality, resonating with my energy signature. It allows us to do this.”

“This is amazing,” Dan admitted. “I remember you doing this the last time, but you didn’t take me this deep. I feel like I’m in the womb of the world itself. And what is the throbbing, pulsing sensation I’m feeling? It’s coming from all around us and feels alive.”

“That’s because it is,” Gabriel stated as they moved through the bowels of the Earth. “You feel the life of the Earth. Like you, the Earth is alive, but not in ways that you can fathom. Humanity has yet to comprehend that life comes in many diverse forms in this multiversal reality. This ignorance restricts your ability to grow and mature in the Lord.”

“So, the Gaia principle is true?” Paul asked in a puzzled manner.

“In a way,” Gabriel answered. “Gaia, as you know it, is the life force imbued into this planet when the Lord created it. It’s life on a scale your finite minds can’t comprehend yet. Just know that it is not a goddess or an immortal, but the very life of this planet. Just as the Lord breathed life into you when you were born, He breathed life into this planet when he created it. When the time is right, the Lord will reveal the true nature of His creation to his people. But now is not the time. We must purge the Darkness before it can completely poison this planet. It’s like a cancer eating away at the body of this planet and universe. You have no idea how important this piece of time and space is to all life. We must turn the tide against the Darkness before it can destroy everything.”

A chill raced down Dan’s spine at Gabriel’s words. His deadly tone caused him to wonder if he truly understood the nature of the world. “I don’t completely understand what you’re telling us, but I believe it,” he answered. “I hope to someday be able to comprehend what you’re trying to tell us.”

“Don’t worry,” Gabriel reassured. “You will. This is why the Lord has instructed me to take you to Hanna and to show you these things. The time is at hand for the final conflict against the Darkness to begin. Now prepare yourselves. We’re about to enter the cursed caverns of Amacia: the territory of our Enemy.” No sooner than he had spoken, they emerged from a colossal volcano with a caldera almost six miles across. The eastern wall of the caldera had collapsed and a flood of lava flowed down its flanks into a vast desert with huge dunes.
