Chapter 15: Selina Exorcism
“Okay, you maggot infested piece of demon shit,” Hannibal snarled icily, suddenly realizing what he could do to take out Belial and not hurt Selina, “Enough of this bullshit. You wanna dance; let’s dance you vile, miserable son of a demon shit! You asked for it. Now you’ve called down the thunder. No one does this to the Lord’s handmaiden and my soul mate and gets away with it.” In seconds, he started singing Grimm’s Requiem with great power, passion, and righteous fury directly into Selina’s ear, sending the song directly against the demon lord, which was a force of pure hate, violence, and utter chaos.
“What?” Belial shrieked in utter surprise when the song hit him like a runaway freight train, greatly weakening him and causing him to let go of Selina’s respiratory system completely. “Impossible! No human maggot knows how to counter my chaos and hate! I am Hate and Chaos Incarnate!” A reptilian roar of panicked fury rose from Selina, even though everyone saw her mouth not moving, but hanging open limply with her tongue extended.
For a few moments, Selina remained unresponsive, not breathing. Then she suddenly gasped, coughing and panted for air once Belial’s brutal strangulation ceased. However, she was barely aware of anything going on at this point and Hannibal knew it. Therefore, he touched his forehead to the side of her head while holding her, sending a strengthening pulse through their telepathic fusion to stabilize her condition, letting her know they’d found the means to purge the demon. She nodded ever so slightly as a whispering moan in her own voice rose from her to acknowledge his message, so weak and bound she couldn’t even answer him telepathically. When he noticed this favorable response, Hannibal upped the power and volume on the song drastically so its sound echoed loudly over the roof of the Red Tower. He let it rise from the very center of his being, attaching his love and care for Selina to it, and sending it like a juggernaut against the intruding vile demon presence infesting his soul mate.
A wicked icy chuckle arose from Draco’s throat as saw this and told the demon defiantly, “I beg to differ, foul demon. It seems Beowulf has found your weakness and uses it even now...a magnificent gift of incredible knowledge and power from the Almighty Ancient of Days whom you have openly rebelled and blasphemed to His face in this rash attempt to destroy Beowulf and his mate. Now you will suffer the consequences of your refusal to leave his mate willingly. You have called down the most holy thunder of our great Creator on your wicked head through this most simple and primal song written by the Almighty Himself. Pay the ultimate price for your wicked attack of one of the Almighty’s chosen, demon. Master Assad, the weapon of Miss Selina’s salvation issues from Beowulf’s mouth as I speak. We must join in and drive this vile wicked spirit back into the Abyss where it belongs.”
“Of course; that’s the answer, Lord Draco! The Almighty has shown us the weapon we can use against this loathsome enemy to free our little sister,” Assad shouted with growing excitement, “In the name and power of the most holy son of the Almighty Ancient of Days, sing Grimm’s Requiem my friends. Send it at the Beast and he will have to flee since he’s a creature utterly corrupted by Chaos! In the name of the son of the most Holy Almighty Ancient of Days, everyone sing Grimm’s Requiem and free Lady Selina from this vile demon!” Instantly, those who knew Grimm’s Requiem began singing it loudly as they prayed for Selina’s deliverance in the name of Jesus at the same time. Those who didn’t know it quickly caught on and added their voices to the chorus, sending its power to Selina to help drive the hideous demon from her body, mind, and soul. As soon as the people started singing, the war and guardian angels added their voices to the harmonic attack on Belial, greatly enhancing its effects on both Belial and Selina. As the song drastically weakened Belial, it greatly strengthened Selina. Those closest to Selina could see her pallor improving as they sang, especially Hannibal, who sang even more passionately as he saw and sensed Selina’s physical condition continuing to improve with some of the surface gashes slowly starting to heal.
Belial screeched madly, finding himself immobilized by the primal song, unable to continue to torment Selina physically or mentally. “Impossible! How are you doing this? The Lynxian is mine! I will not give her up! She’s mine forever!” he roared impotently, feeling his grip on Selina’s body being ripped apart by the primal song.
“You had your chance, you vile demon shit,” Hannibal hissed venomously to Belial with great authority and in a commanding tone he could not resist, “But you had to be an ass about this and not go willingly when we gave you the chance. Now we’re evicting your demon ass from her and I’m the bouncer. You can’t fight the primal song any more than Lord Grimm can, or any of the other cosmic abominations out there in the multiverse corrupted by Chaos. Now let her go and go back to the Abyss where you belong, in the name and power of the son of the living God, Jesus. Caverias, in the name and power of Jesus and in the power of his most Holy and Mighty Father, drag this vile creature out of my soul mate and make sure he is bound and cast back into the Abyss where he can never plague the world of the living ever again.”
“My pleasure, boss,” Caverias crowed, “Okay, my friends; let’s free Selina of this demoniac slime once and for all now that the Requiem has weakened his grip on her.” In moments, Caverias reached into Selina’s body along with Tsang and Assad’s guardian, seizing Belial and pulling his ghostly spiritual form out of her.
Selina cried out in utter agony of the body and mind as she felt Belial being dislodged from her mind and soul. Sensing Belial still fighting against the guardian angels, Hannibal whispered into Selina’s ear, “Selina...wake up, Selina and help Guildo assist Caverias and the others kick your tormentor out. You can do it, in Jesus name.” Then he prayed aloud so all could hear, “Oh Lord God of Host, Almighty Ancient of Days, merciful and mighty Father of us all, Creator of all that is, was, and will be, reach out your mighty hand and set your daughter free of the enemy that even now resists your will. In Jesus name, bind the enemy, empower your angels, and banish Belial from Selina forever and heal her wounded mind, body, and soul. Show us your great power and mercy to us all by freeing her of her burden as you promised so that you may get all the glory for this deliverance. Please, free her, in Jesus name. Amen.”
The prayer elicited an immediate and immense response from heaven. A pillar of brilliant light suddenly blazed from the sky, spotlighting those in the thick of the exorcism. At the same moment, the crystal pyramid capstones on the spires around the perimeter of the Red Tower’s roof along with the capstone on the central pyramid in the middle of the roof blazed brilliantly, energized by an unknown, seemingly cosmic power. Waves of brilliant white electrical discharges abruptly arced over the crystal capstones as the Red Tower itself rumbled like a giant beginning to awaken, astonishing all who saw it. A deep bass voice boomed from the sky with ultimate power and authority, shaking the very Tower itself while rattling the bones of all who heard it, commanding imperiously, “Belial, come out of her now without harming her any further, and never enter her again. Go back into your prison in the Abyss Belial, for your heinous crimes against me, my chosen ones and my creation; my daughter still has much work to do beside her mate and you will not be allowed to interfere in it any further. I, the Lord of Hosts have spoken.” Every soul present heard the voice of supreme, ultimate power down to their very cores, shaking their very bones, flesh, and blood with its divine power, which silenced all who heard it. They all instantly realized the Almighty Ancient of Days Himself had spoken verbally, especially when He identified Himself at the end of His command.
When Hannibal heard the mighty voice of the Almighty audibly booming from heaven, tears of joy erupted from his eyes since he knew God Himself was answering his prayer directly. However, when he saw the Almighty’s voice had silenced everyone, including the drakens, he called out urgently, “Don’t stop singing the Requiem, my friends. Please sing on and help our God save Selina. He wants us to help even though He doesn’t need it! He wishes it!” His urgent call shook everyone from their stupor and the drakens immediately began singing Grimm’s Requiem with much more passion and sincerity, causing the others to immediate follow suit. The chorus singing the Requiem slowly merged into a perfect, heavenly harmony of such power it not only greatly strengthened Hannibal, Selina, and the angels who were physically grappling with Belial. It also completely drove away the chaos they felt in their own hearts. This allowed them to pour all their love and care for Selina and Hannibal into the primal song of Grimm’s Requiem, enhancing its power to nearly cosmic levels, further weakening Belial to the point he could no longer hold onto Selina’s body.
Within seconds of this, Selina shook violently and looked straight up to the sky, shrieking a primal alien scream in her voice so loud it hurt everyone’ ears as Belial bellowed in utter fearful panic, “NOOOOO!” In moments, a fetid nauseous black cloud stinking of sulfur, feces, urine, putrefying blood, and vile decaying death started pouring out of her mouth into the air above her for almost a minute. The abominable reek was so nauseously atrocious it drove all those not directly touching Selina back almost fifty feet. Yet amidst their coughing and gagging on the infernal fetor, those present continued to sing Grimm’s Requiem with rebellious zeal, not willing to give in to the demon they saw materializing physically before their eyes in the air above Selina. The vile cloud suddenly coalesced into a hideous twenty-two foot tall ethereal abomination of a demon: a roughly bipedal humanoid form with four reptilian arms the size of Tau’s legs ending in watermelon sized clawed fists. Its fists boasted fourteen-inch long fingers crowned with six-inch claws dripping with Selina’s blood. Large black reptilian scales covered its ripped muscular torso that appeared to be a mixture of a T-rex’s body and that of a human with a writhing colossal thirteen-foot long tail ending in a three-bladed bony barb spanned a solid eight feet. Long, massive Tyrannosaur-like legs as thick as Hannibal’s torso ending in gigantic six-toed clawed feet attached to its torso at the hip. Large sharp, jagged spines twenty-inches in length lined its shoulders, arms, legs, and spine. Atop its two-foot long, eighteen-inch thick neck sat an oversized elongated head that resembled a cross between a T-rex, veloci-raptor, and crocodile with several rows of jagged conical crocodilian-like teeth ten-inches in length that dripped steaming caustic venom. Above its maw sat six hideous demon eyes lined up with three eyes on each side of its skull. The eyes seemed to be a mix of reptilian and cephalopod eyes that were red and black filled with crimson hellfire flame. Finally, four gigantic membranous bat-like wings with s wingspan of fifty feet spread wide in a menacing fashion from their connection on the abomination’s back. The thing exuded an aura of pure chaos, hate, violence, and utter loathing for all things of the Light. It glared down at Hannibal, Selina, and the others with incandescent rage as Caverias, Tsang, and the other guardian angels assisting with the exorcism surrounded the demon with their weapons drawn ready to strike. Yet Belial continued struggling against an unseen unstoppable force he could not resist that kept him immobilized.
“This isn’t possible!” Belial roared in wrath, writhing as if an immense hand was gripping him. “I won’t let her go. The Lynxian belongs to me! How’d you separate us! I had myself wrapped around all her vital structures! Separating us should have killed the cat! I’ll rip all your bodies, minds, and souls apart for this!”
Hannibal looked up at Belial, actually seeing an immense ghostly hand wrapped around his entire black cloudy form completely restraining him. A dark sinister smirk crept across Hannibal’s lips as he cradled Selina, who was now unconscious from the strain of the dread crisis. “You’re so smart, mister Lord of Rage, Hate, and Horrors unending, why don’t you figure it out for yourself,” Hannibal snapped sarcastically with a hint of triumph in his tone. “There’s only one force in this entire multiverse that everything answers to, even you, you foul pestilent son of a demon bitch, and you know it. The Lord Himself has gotten up off His throne, reached down, and ripped your sorry ass from my soul mate and there isn’t a damned thing you can do about it. Now you have one last choice to make. Leave now of your own free will and never to return to torment Selina or anyone else, or be removed by force and cast back in the Abyss by the very hand of the Almighty Ancient of Days that holds you now firmly in His mighty grip. Choose, demon or the Almighty will choose for you, and believe me, you don’t want Him to choose for you know damned well what He can and will do despite your stubborn refusal to submit to Him.”
“Never!” Belial shrieked in insane rage. “I will burn you all in my rage, even your impotent, powerless god Yahweh and his bastard offspring Yashua. They have no power here in this cursed underworld and cannot save the cat, you, or anyone else from my wrath! I will unleash upon all of you horrors so terrible it will blast your bodies and souls into oblivion before I’m done! I spit and shit on the face of your pathetic powerless god! I will have my revenge for I am the Lord of Rage, Hate, and Horrors unending! I will call forth every cosmic abomination, Dark Titan, and Ancient One from every dimension in every universe and bring them here to annihilate you, your cat lover, and everything else, including your brainless, powerless pathetic wretch of a god.”
At this point, everyone knew Belial was powerless and spewed incredibly vile but feeble threats and blasphemies against the God of Heaven and his people in his hideous hate and wrath. Yet it shocked them to hear such horrendous blasphemies in person pouring like a flood from such a powerful dark entity. However, Hannibal, Draco, Assad, Tau, and Nemesis didn’t dismiss the threats, seeing them as potentially a very real danger should the fiend somehow escape the trap he was in. They knew Belial meant every word he spewed in his ungodly rage and hate. Hannibal’s face flushed in growing rage. He handed over Selina’s unconscious form to Nemesis and stood up to face the nightmare Lord of Rage, Hate, and Horrors unending, motioning for Assad, Draco, and Tau to stand with him. The four of them stood tall, facing the immobilized demon with Hannibal standing in front with his eyes now glowing white in a nuclear-level of his Berserker Battle Rage. Electrical discharges started to arc over Hannibal’s entire body as he pointed his arcing right index finger at Belial, declaring in the iciest and most dreadful tone anyone had ever heard, “You just sealed your fate and doom, you wicked fallen angel. We gave you a chance to run, but no. You had to antagonize and challenge not just us, but the Lord of Hosts Himself to His face, who’s here right now! Whose hand do you think restrains you even now, foul beast! Now, like Yargoniath who tried to take me through Tsasthoagguah’s insanity-inducing mutagenic toxic flesh pathogens, you have called down the wrath of our great and mighty God and Creator on your head! He will not let this blasphemy and challenge go unanswered, and He will definitely not let you stop what He’s doing here.
“Mighty Lord of Hosts, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, merciful and true, you have heard the blasphemy from this enemy from his own vile lips, and seen his wicked intent to do not just us harm, but to futilely try to remove you as Lucifer even now tries to do. I leave it to you to exercise your wise righteous judgment and vengeance on him for you alone have the power to adequately punish this insidious rebellious fallen angel who even now defies you and your power to your face. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, your one and only most holy son who took the penalty for all of us so we may be reconciled to you, render your verdict now and send this pestilent fallen one back where he belongs, never again to torment any living soul in any dimension or universe! Do this in the name of your most holy son, Jesus Yashua!”
The response to Hannibal’s prayer was instant. A bone-rattling rumble rose first from the tower beneath their feet, which started trembling physically shortly after the rumble started. The rumble grew louder and more ominous as a vast swirling dark cloud formed above the Red Tower in seconds, spreading out in all directions to the horizon before anyone would blink. This silenced all who were singing Grimm’s Requiem as they stared in fearful awe, shaking down in their souls at what they were witnessing. They suddenly physically felt an impossibly ancient and dreadful power permeating the very atmosphere around them...a power of utmost Light, Life, Death, Judgment, and Justice. The cloud grew darker and lowered, swirling like an angry hurricane ready to unleash its terrible wrath on those in its path. Lightning started arcing through the clouds like a Van de Graff generator, the sky flashing with each bolt causing the air to sizzle. Those people and creatures that happened to look up at that moment gasped in utter astonished terror, seeing uncounted legions of war angels moving with great purpose in the swirling hurricane. Even though a howl of intense wind roared from the cloud, the wind itself never came down to the top of the Tower. Deep ominous rumbling thunders accompanied the arcing lightning, adding to the rumble from the tower and the roar of the wind in the hurricane cloud over everyone’s head, creating an awesome fearful cacophony of noise that got the attention of not just atop the Red Tower, but everyone on the island.
At the same time, the glowing capstones of the spires and pyramid on the Red Tower’s roof blazed in unearthly brilliance, casting shadows and shining directed beams of pure white light on Belial as he floated immobilize fifty feet above their heads in the glowing ghostly hand that everyone present now saw clearly. They instinctively knew something unbelievable and unprecedented was about to take place. Only then did Belial realize the depth of his terrible miscalculation and how much trouble he was truly in for his brazen attempt to possess and destroy Selina while blaspheming the Almighty to His face in his rage.
A powerful wind rose from the sea to the east as Hannibal glared with burning fury at Belial. The sea gale blew past those atop the Tower as it headed up to join with the winds howling in the swirling hurricane cloud’s center. Even though it was brisk, it didn’t move the people out of their positions as they seemed rooted to the Red Tower’s roof like trees, even though it did make loose hair flutter like flags in a stiff wind. Then, without warning, what appeared to be a simple wooden wander’s staff two inches in diameter and six feet tall materialized in Hannibal’s hand as his arm and finger lowered from pointing at Belial. The pillar of light that had bathed Hannibal, Selina, and those around them suddenly shifted position away from them, merging with the light beams from the blazing crystal capstones of the spires and pyramid, completely encompassing the rebellious fallen angel, searing his ghostly flesh. A scream of primal demoniac pain and fear wailed from the fallen angel as, again, the supremely powerful voice of the Almighty thundered from on high, “The Fallen One’s fate is decided and sealed. Execute my sentence, my son. Smite the floor beneath your feet with the rod of my power that Moses, Elijah, and all the prophets who came before you utilized, which you now hold in your hand. Send the traitor to his reward. This is my gift to you, my son, for the traitor’s desecration of my precious handmaiden and soul mate that I gave unto you to walk this path at your side.” The words stunned everyone, including Hannibal and the drakens. Everyone who could kneel did so at the unstoppable omnipotent power of the Almighty’s verbal order. Those who couldn’t kneel instantly bowed their heads in fearful awe and submission of the God they’d never before had any direct interaction with. They were witnessing in person the Almighty Himself giving Hannibal the verbal order and power to enact His Justice and Vengeance on the fallen angel Belial...to be the very hand of His Power as the prophecies foretold.
Hannibal shook in fearful awe and gratitude as his battle rage melted away to a much more controllable level with the Almighty’s verbal command before everyone. “As you command, Lord,” he replied with a shaky submissive tone that still betrayed his anger against Belial. “Thank you.” He then turned his righteous rage towards Belial even though the Almighty had subdued it to the point it wouldn’t hinder Hannibal’s ability to properly execute His sentence against the fallen angel. “In the name and power of Jesus of Nazareth, the son of the most holy and powerful Lord of Hosts who is the Judge of all things, and the mighty and merciful Almighty Ancient of Days, Lord bind Belial with your holy chains and cast him into the deepest dungeons of the Abyss. There confine him there until the end of time. Good-bye, Belial...pestilent Lord of Rage, Hate, and Horrors unending; may you never trouble another soul ever again and be brought before our most Holy and Mighty God at the end of all things to get your just recompense for your rebellion in the Lake of Fire. Lord, execute this verdict in the name of your most Holy son Jesus Yashua that we may witness your righteous Justice firsthand and give you all glory and praise for this judgment and victory over our adversary.” With that, he raised the staff high above his head in his right hand and slammed it down on the roof of the Red Tower with great force. The moment it hit, the wooden staff transformed into a massive angelic scepter spear ten feet tall and two inches in diameter with a seven-sided pyramidal crystal spearhead two feet long and seven inches across at its base. The flawless crystal was bluish-white and nearly transparent with a mysterious unknown bluish-white light shining from its very center. Cryptic angelic runes of inconceivable power lay etched into each facet of the crystal spearhead. These runes glowed bright white, seeming energized by the bizarre energy source from its center. The staff itself consisted of a shining metal even Hannibal couldn’t recognize. Like the crowning spearhead, bizarre undecipherable angelic runes line the staff all the way to the pummel end that had struck the roof of the Red Tower. A loud metallic echo radiated from the hit, spreading out in all directions while the scepter blazed with an unearthly heavenly brilliance so bright it too caused shadows to be cast from every physical thing present. Those who saw this were forced to avert their eyes to keep from being completely blinded by the flash. At the same time, blinding beams of light erupted from the top of the staff, striking every glowing capstone on the Red Tower’s roof with the last and largest beam striking Belial right in the center of his demon chest.
A wail of utter fearful fury and panicked desolation erupted from Belial at the hit that echoed over the whole island, causing great fear in those who heard it and didn’t know what was happening. A fraction of a second after the staff’s beam hit Belial, massive electrical bolts erupted from each glowing crystal capstone on the Red Tower’s roof, converging on Belial as he was drawn two hundred feet into the air, well away from those who watched cowering in fearful awe at this unprecedented supernatural event. Another flash and thunderous report roared from the convergence, again briefly blinding all who were present. Once the blindness had lifted a few seconds later, everyone saw Belial inside a transparent glowing energy bubble with white lightning arcing over the entire structure. Within the structure, they saw the rebellious demoniac fallen angel being chained with glowing energy chains that sprang from the inside of the bubble. The chains bound every part of Belial to the bubble, even closing his loathsome mouth. Within thirty seconds, Belial was completely bound in glowing white chains of energy that seared his ghostly form where they touched him.
Before the witnesses could comprehend what they were seeing, yet another earth-shaking, bone-rattling boom rang from the sky as the swirling center of the lowering dark cloud formed into an immense funnel cloud dropping from the base of the cloud moving directly towards Belial. The arcing lightning in the cloud followed the funnel cloud down, swirling down to its point with the look that all the bolts were going to merge. At seven hundred feet above the demon in is prison, the lightning swirling down the funnel cloud indeed did merge, emitting the largest, most brilliant lightning bolt anyone had ever seen. It arced down and connected with the energy bubble imprisoning Belial, forking into five distinctive bolts just before it made contact, making it appear the bolt had grown into a colossal hand of pure electricity in the blink of an eye. The Lightning Hand grabbed Belial’s prison bubble firmly like a hand grabbing a baseball. Belial’s prison bubble, the Lightning Hand and the bolt it grew from, along with the energy beams from the crystal capstones suddenly grew to supernova brilliance, again blinding everyone. In a blink, the lightning hand retreated into the funnel cloud, which likewise retracted back into the swirling dark cloud with Belial with a whoosh and a violent wind that drew everything into what was now a dark portal in the cloud. Those managed to get their vision back quickly enough saw the Lightning Hand carrying Belial in his energy prison into a shimmering pitch-black liquid aperture three hundred feet across surrounded by a glowing ring of menacing bluish-white energy. Belial’s hideous wail of fear, rage, and hate echoed ghostlike over the entire island as the mysterious gate snapped shut with another earth-shaking boom, leaving everything in an eerie silence.
The moment the portal in the sky closed, the great angelic scepter spear in Hannibal’s hand vanished without a trace, leaving him and everyone else in stunned silence looking to sky. As they watched in fearful astonishment, the angry black hurricane cloud hanging over everyone’s heads vanished like a mist in the wind with the residue of the cloud blowing away in the wind as it subsided to a pleasant east breeze. From the moment Hannibal executed the Almighty’s order and smacked the staff against the Red Tower’s roof and Belial being dragged away into the Abyss took only twenty seconds. However, those who witnessed it felt it was the longest twenty seconds in their entire lives. Once the portal had closed and the threat posed by Belial neutralized, the guardian angels vanished back into their respective charges and the five companies of war angels along with the uncounted war angels seen in the hurricane cloud disappeared so quickly and subtly that no one noticed their leaving, even Hannibal.
