A couple of hours later in the Harem, Myra, Tasha, Sakura, and Jennifer were tending to Selina after she had been re-chained at the order of the Emperor. Selina was still out cold when she was chained. Slowly, she began to come around, raising her hand to rub her face. The chains on her arms rattled as she moved them. Opening her eyes, she raised her head to look at herself: still wrapped in the leather restraining suit and now chained. Slumping back on her cushion, she sighed heavily, once again resigned to being chained like a wild animal.

Looking to Myra with the obvious question, Myra answered Selina without ever having the question asked. “They chained you about an hour ago,” she reported. “They did it after realizing someone helped your mutated husband escape. They say it was Magnus, but who knows for sure. Looks like you were right about her escape.”

Selina smiled and reached out for Myra, taking her hand. “So that’s why I’m chained back up again,” she replied. For a moment, she searched her link of Hanna and still felt her pain, though it was greatly diminished for the moment. She searched Hanna’s memory and saw the feline Xenian who had drugged them at their capture.

“It’s true,” Selina said quietly to Myra, Tasha, Sakura, and Jennifer. “The one who drugged us at our capture, the one they call Magnus, is assisting Hanna as I speak. They’re leaving the fortress by an unknown back door.” Myra, Tasha, Sakura, and Jennifer looked at each other with their mouths hanging open.

“You know this?” Jennifer asked bluntly.

“Yes,” Selina replied. She closed her eyes and concentrated on Hanna. Hanna. Can you hear me? she called out telepathically.
