Chapter 496
Chapter 496 Forced Into Marriage
Gordon felt insulted and seethed with anger. Despite the height difference between him and his opponent, he was ready to
charge forward.
Isabella, feeling overwhelmed, quickly restrained him. “Gordon!”
“Don’t hold me back!”
If she hadn’t intervened, he would have been beaten up by now.
Isabella was speechless. How did such a fool manage to survive into adulthood?
“Mr. Dunkstein will cover the cost of the drinks. Please settle the rest with your people.”
Steven sat down on the couch, getting comfortable. Upon hearing Isabella’s words, he couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Why should I listen to you?”
“You don’t have to listen to me, but Mr. Dunkstein won’t back down. If it comes to a lose-lose situation, the marriage between our
two families can be called off.”
Steven leaned back on the couch, touching his lips with one hand, then suddenly beckoned Isabella with a finger.
Isabella didn’t move.
She wasn’t naive; she wouldn’t fall for such a gesture.
Steven laughed and leaned over, and someone immediately poured him a drink.
“If I listen to you, will he agree to marry Willy?”
“Don’t be delusional!” Gordon interrupted, snorting rudely. “That woman is arrogant and dull. No man would marry her.”
As soon as he finished speaking, someone kicked him.
This time, Isabella didn’t defend him. Gordon was truly irritating. If he kept talking like this, they wouldn’t be able to leave without
trouble today.
“As you can see, Mr. Dunkstein is not sincere. Steven wagged his finger, squinting at Isabella.
Isabella tugged at the furious Gordon. “Shut up!”
Gordon was frustrated. He had never been treated like this before, not even when
Xavier was not yet successful. Lately, Willy had been visiting his house every day, acting like the mistress of the house, meddling
in everything, almost controlling his every move.
He would never marry such a woman.
But Isabella was by his side, and he didn’t want to drag her down.
After glaring for a moment, he finally fell silent.
Steven’s eyes turned cold. “It seems that you are the one Mr. Dunkstein wants to marry?”
“I’m just a nobody. I can’t enter the Dunkstein Family’s door. Mr. Chavez, you don’t need to consider me. It’s pointless for Miss
Chavez to play these games and trick me here.”
Isabella walked up to Gordon, standing tall. “If she truly likes Mr. Dunkstein, there are plenty of ways to pursue him. There’s no
need for these manipulations.”
Steven scoffed. “Is he even worth being pursued by Willy?”
Isabella replied, “If you’re capable, make her stop thinking about him.
Steven thought to himself, D*mn, my lifeline is being strangled.
He didn’t know what got into Willy to fancy such a fool.
“It seems that even if M
Dunkstein pays today, you don’t intend to let us go, right?”
Isabella looked at the man across from her.
Steven squinted, looking at her with interest.
“He slapped my face. It’s not something that can be resolved with money.”
Isabella asked, “If he agrees to marry Willy on the spot, can the matter be resolved?”
Steven remained silent.
The original plan was to detain these two and let Willy come to the rescue, and both sides would gain favor and goodwill. He
didn’t expect Isabella to expose everything, putting both parties in a difficult situation.
Now, he was in a dilemma.
Most importantly, he was starting to not want to let this woman go.
“Give me a straight answer. How can we leave?” Isabella pressed, urging Steven to make a decision.
Steven raised his hand, pointing at Gordon. “He can go.”
After saying that, he pointed at Isabella. “You stay.”
