Latte Darling: Book Two of The Darling Series

Latte Darling: Chapter 61

My tires screech as I take the corner too quickly. But I don’t bother braking, I just let the car correct itself, then depress the gas.

Maddie may have taken my favorite car, but it’s not the only fast vehicle I own. And taking the last turn onto Maddie’s street, I’m thankful for that fact. Because a drive that should take 25 minutes just took me 12.

Flying up her driveway, I slam my car into park, yank the key free, and let my long strides eat up the distance to the door.

There’re no emergency vehicles, or signs of disturbance, but that’s hardly a comfort. I heard her scream on the phone. I know something’s wrong.

“Maddie!” I shout her name even as I pound on her front door.

No answer.

No sign of movement.

I slam my fist harder against the wood.

This is unacceptable. I need to be able to get to her.

I bang against the door again.

I’m this close to breaking the window next to her front door when I hear the lock turn.

“Axel?” she asks, as though it’d possibly be anyone else.

Maddie opens the door and steps into the small gap she creates.

“Oh, hell no.” I wrap a hand around the back of her neck, firmly guiding her out of the way as I shove the door open.

“Axel! What are you doing?”

I wheel on her, “What am I doing? What the fuck are you doing? What happened?”

Her eyes are wide, but she doesn’t look hurt. And at first glance her house looks the same.

I release my hold of her and walk deeper into her house, her bare feet padding across the floor behind me.

“Seriously, Axel. It was nothing!”

I glance into the office, then the empty bathroom, and keep walking. Looking in her bedroom, out the back door, around the living room.

“Maddie, what-” then I hear it. A muted rattling sound.

“Oh… um…” Maddie’s cheeks are bright red.

She’s hiding something.

My eyes dart around the room. There’s no one else here. And I know Maddie. She wouldn’t cheat on me. So what is it?

I listen again and my gaze lands on the refrigerator.

In three long strides I’m there.

I hear Maddie groan as I bend to pull open the freezer drawer at the bottom of her fridge.

And then I stare. “The fuck?”

My eyes know what they’re seeing, but my mind is a little slow on the play.

Reaching out, I pick up the frosty, bouncing vibrator.

Slowly, so slowly, I straighten and turn towards Maddie.

She’s still standing on the other side of the room, both hands covering her face.

“Maddison Faye Richards, why is your vibrator in the freezer?”

Her fingers part just enough to peek out at me. “It’s a long story.”

The small piece of silicone continues to buzz in my palm, the sensation rolling up my arm, down my spine, and straight to my dick.

“Do you use this, Maddie?” I stalk towards her. “Do you rub this against that sweet little clit of yours?” I don’t stop until we’re almost touching. “Or do you put this up that tight little pussy?”

When she doesn’t answer, I raise the vibrator, until the tip brushes against her already pebbled nipple.

She whimpers, trying to step back, but I hook my arm around her waist, holding her still.
