“Uh–i,” I stuttered.

“Kids go wait in the living room,” Cullian told the kids and they all ran towards the living room area.

“Look honey, it’s just that I have been having this dreams about Conri showing up and taking the kids away, and that has made me so anxious. “I lied, No! I didn’t lie, the thought of Conri taking the kids away has been my worst fear these past few days, but at the same time, there was no need of telling Cullian about Conri showing up. After all, he hadn’t shown up since yesterday, and I’m sure he was gone for good, trust me this was for my husband’s security, I didn’t want him overworking himself about something that was irrelevant.

“I knew something was wrong, but why didn’t you tell me, even when I asked if everything was alright, you know i hate it when you keep things from me, especially when it’s bothering you, your problems are mine and you know I’m always willing to help,” he advanced towards me.

“Master, may I come in,” I turned to see Derrick, a pack member, standing by the door.

“What is it you want Derrick?”

“Your father has just arrived and he wishes to see you in his room,” Derrick informed.

“What does he want from me this time,” I rolled my eyes.

I walked over to my father’s room, he was laying on his bed.

“Father, you asked to see me?” I bowed my head slightly.

“What took you so long?” My father questioned.

“I was busy father, is there a problem?” I asked.

“Sit,” he said assertively.

I sat down on the king sized bed, beside him, When he saw I was already seated, he cleared his throat, then he sat up reaching for his glass of water by the side table.

“Conri, when do you plan on getting married?” he took a sip from his glass of water, then he placed it back on the table before turning to me.

“What do you mean father?” I cleared my throat awkwardly.

“You know I hate to repeat myself son, so tell me,” my father said.

“Father, I don’t think this is the right time,” I was about to stand up and leave when he said something that drew me back to where I sat.

“Then get ready as well to lose your position,” I wasn’t sure I heard my father right.

“What?” I was taken aback.

“You have no child or inheritance to your throne, as an Alpha king, do you want the bloodline to end? I’m afraid we would have to give the position to someone else, maybe your cousin instead, since you haven’t considered getting a child, there’s nothing I can do,” my father said.

“This is a letter, you are to marry his daughter,” my father stated and almost immediately, I burst into laughter.

I knew what the moon goddess was trying to do, but i wouldn’t let it, there was no way I could get married to anyone else than Darlene, not even the moon goddess could stop me.

“You want me to marry someone I don’t love, just for a position?” I asked.

“Well I guess the position isn’t that important to you,” he father scoffed.

“Look father, my heart belongs to someone else, and I just need time, ! promise you, I’ll get married soon, just give me a little time,” I pleaded.

“Three months is all you have, you might have a lot of time ahead of you. But I don’t, if you haven’t gotten married in three months time, I assure you, there would be no other chances, you had your chance now,” my father stated.

“I promise you father, I’ll get her, no matter all it takes me,” I promised.
