Killing My Alpha Mate

Chapter 117

The only thing that caught my eyes was the replacement of the carpet.

"Guess she really used that money I gave her," Jaden said, staring around the room that looked so new and different.

"Yeah that's true" I affirmed, staring at the beautiful lamps, new mirrors standing at each corner and a bigger couch beside the door. "Here's the clothes ma'am" The Saleswoman announced as she dropped a huge pile of clothes on the small couch.

"These clothes are beautiful" Jaden appreciated her as he picked out gowns from the huge pile of clothes.

"I'll take these" I said as I gave her the gowns that I and Jaden selected.

We changed our clothes, after the payment we walked out of the store carrying four bags each.

_I'll won't spend a dime on clothes for a very long time_

"Shopping done, next thing on our list is Dimitri's house" Jaden announced as he turned on the engine.

When we arrived at Dimitri's house, I noticed two black heavy duty trucks trailed us and stopped a mile away.

"Someone's stalking us" I divulged.

"What do you mean?" Jaden asked, confused.

"Take a look at those trucks, it's not a coincidence that they trailed us and only parked a mile away. I don't feel good about this"

"Those trucks are meant for workers who fix electricity" Jaden's words surpassed my emotions, but suspicions still lingered in my mind.

Everything disappeared as soon as Lily ran into my arms.

"I've missed you Lily. How've you been?" I asked as I raised her up to my arms.

"I'm good, can you put me down now?" She taunted.

"What's wrong Lily?" I wondered what made Lily have a lawn face.

"You just abandoned me, I'm tired of Uncle Dimitri and Ride, they make boring games that I always win. It's so unfortunate that there's no competition here. When's the next fight with The Crown's Assassins?" Lily's words baffled me. It made me wonder the level of bravery that engulfed Lily.

_She loves fighting The Crown's Assassins, just like her mother. It's of no use that attacks have ceased_

"Who do we have here?" Dimitri uttered as I ran into his warm embrace.

_I missed Dimitri so much that he was one of the main reasons I walked into his house.__

"Oh Ride, The King of Locks"

"It's so good to see you" Ride also opted for an embrace which I willingly accepted.

I just wanted to stay with them a while but unfortunately Jaden wouldn't allow it_

"So any news for us" Dimitri said as everyone sat at a round table.

"You see... The only reason why we're here is to give you a breaking news" I couldn't let Jaden complete his words so I chimed in

"I'm pregnant"

"Like seriously?"

"I'm not joking, I and Jaden would be having our baby son soon"

"Wow, congratulations Hailey" Ride said as he opened his arms for a handshake which Jaden accepted.

It seemed like forever, Dimitri's silence baffled me. I wondered the reason why he was like this

"Why are you not saying anything Dimitri?" I inquired.

"What would you have me say, everything I was to say has been said already. So I'll just pass" Dimitri's sudden cold words sounded very awkward to me. "Can I speak to you in private Dimitri?" I walked to the balcony at the left side of the house.

"Why did you call me out here?" Dimitri asked with his hands crossed.

"Why the sudden cold attitude towards me?"

"You never told me you were going back to him. I thought the plan was to take down Lord Perry and The Crown." Dimitri retorted as he clenched his fists.

"Yes that was the plan and still remains the plan, why's that there's something you're not telling me?” I uttered.

"What do you want to know? Is it the fact that I don't know what to say to you or the absolute fact that Jaden may be fooling"

"Hold your words and put them back in your mouth. Jaden's my problem to handle and I never made it someone's problem. He's my problem and trust me when I say that problem has been solved " I chimed in aggressively. "Fine, it's all good but please keep it in mind, I'm no longer a shoulder to cry on. I would like to use these shoulders to carry the blood of The Crown's Assassins" Dimitri walked back inside.

_It's not a big deal, Dimitri would still come around, it's all for the fun of it. When it's time for business, he'll be ready_ I encouraged myself as I walked into the house.

"What's the next step in all these?"

"Well I'll get you a picture of the weapon as I promised, I'll need a bit more time to get it. Meanwhile we'll be leaving now, we'll see some other time" I said as I stood up to leave when Lily whined

"This is how you abandon me again, it's no use wasting time on spilled milk" Then she ran back to her room.

"Don't worry I'll take care of her" Ride smirked as he walked upstairs to her room.

I walked to where Dimitri sat, with his head bowed down. He didn't want to see me leaving.

"Bye Dimitri" I pegged him on his soft cheeks.

"Did you have to do that?" Jaden uttered as he clenched his fists on the steering wheel.

"What did I do?" I asked Stark, confused at his words.

"You literally kissed another man right in my eyes" I knew that Jaden would complain over that kiss with Dimitri.

"Come off it Darling, Dimitri's like a younger brother to me. He was there when you were doing this on and off lovey-dovey, I can't believe you're the one saying this" I explained to him, not like I even felt for him. Just teasing you, now it's time to go home, where we belong" Jaden smirked at my plush face.

"Let's go, I'm tired and stressed out" I felt exhausted.

"You need more rest, and food and not outings" Jaden said as he drifted off to the main road, heading to Lord Perry's mansion.

I chose not to argue words with Jaden, so that he'll focus on the road and not my replies.
