Killing My Alpha Mate

Chapter 112

Lord Perry walked to the podium the second time. I guessed it was time for the second function. Everyone pulled back the seats and tables, finally I got to sit at a table.

"My humble guests, I would like to announce that this weapon would be up for sale again. The earlier price doesn't suit the quality and damage this weapon could bring. So this starting price is 200 million" Some guests were surprised, while others were happy regarding Lord Perry's smart decision.

Alfa Rome was the third bider last time, he hated the fact that Lord Perry opted for another function after he had pledged 200 million. I walked to Alpha Rome's table and knelt down to talk to him.

"Sorry to disturb you sir, but I couldn't help myself standing there and watching your mood after you already bought that weapon. The only candid advice I have for you now is that you do whatever it takes to get that weapon again because it'll go a long way in gaining more territories, large population, more space for hunting... There are many advantages this weapon would bring to you. Is better if you win twice than to lose once. It's your choice" I stood up and walked back to where I had sat earlier. I hoped he would listen to my advice.

When this war begins I'll know on whose side to be_

"220 million" The first bidder announced, sitting at the left end.

"225 million" The second bider retorted.

"235 million" The first bider rose in anger.

I earnestly waited for Alpha Rome's response, he was just quiet and less interactive as the function went on.

"275 million" The first bider uttered as soon as he saw the second bidder was about to say another price.

"300 million" Alfa Rome said as he clasped his hands. The first bider sat down knowing fully well that he had nothing up to 300 million.

"300 million, any other claims on the weapon..." He paused, greed had engulfed Lord Perry's eyes he didn't even accept the 300 million, he wanted more so he asked again.

"Any other claims?"

A girl dressed in a silver dress walked in, she walked with elegance. She was heavily guarded, she walked to where Ryan sat and planted a soft kiss on his lips. Ryan was not happy when he noticed her presence. "What's going on here?" She asked in a loud voice.

"This is a weapon about to be sold for 300 million with the condition that the pay would be completed in five days and the transport of the weapon would be on that fifth day,”

She chimed in aggressively

"I know this kind of weapon and I'll give you it's worth and that's 450 million"

Alpha Rome bowed down his head in shame that he had lost, not only losing but losing to a woman. He stood up and walked out of the occasion.

_Men hates losing to women because it's demoralize the only aura of respect they have_

"450 million, this weapon is sold for four hundred and fifty million which is the final price."

I wondered who this woman was and what entangles her with Ryan_

Ryan walked out hastily, watching the embarrassment he was accumulating to himself as he refused all her touches and soft kisses.

"I've got to find out" I said to myself as I followed Ryan.

Ryan stood at the balcony, groaning in tears and pain. I knew there was a string attached to them both.

"What's wrong Ryan?" I asked as I got closer to him

"Let me be," He answered as tears flowed down his chin.

"What's wrong Ryan, why do you have tears all over your face?" I asked in a mild tone, afraid of how he would react to my stubborn nature.

"I said let me be" He screamed as he pushed me aside heading to his room.

I needed to know why the presence of this silver dress girl haunts Ryan this much.

I walked back into the house and felt disrespected when I saw the silver dress girl sitting on my table, my seat and drinking with my cup.

"Who the hell are you to sit on my seat?" I asked in a mild tone trying not to draw the attention of the whole crowd.

"Why are you like this, Hailey? In this game, you don't have to be all dominant and fierce, sometimes use your calm nature and you'll pull all the tricks there is to play" She said as she pulled out a stick of cigarettes. Women smoke? This is very absurd_ I said to myself as I watched her puff the smoke out of her mouth.

"Which game are you talking about?" I asked her, appearing to be in a confused state.

"In this game I'm talking about, there's a king, a queen, a disarrayed concubine. a noble, and a useless servant. When the game begins the king tends to protect his throne against the noble, while the queen and that disarrayed servant fights for the position of the queen. The maid servant would be there watching the whole torrent not allowing the waves to pass him by. He would wait till everyone's dead, there's no opposition for him, no battle to fight. It's just a throne to sit on and he becomes the king"

I chimed in with vigor because I couldn't even figure out how I played a game of King and queens.

"How do I fit into all these?"

"You're that disarrayed servant but the problem with you is that you lack patience, you see every opportunity as a way to strike, very soon you'll run out of cards to play, then instead of being the one to watch. Your every move will be watched" The silver dress girl said as she walked to the podium.

She cleared her throat

"Alpha Rome, the weapon is for you, it's of no use to me so I advice Lord Perry to take his offer"

She walked out of the whole gathering, her car was on the verge of moving when I said to her "What should I do?"

"Do what you have to do but don't do many" Her words rang in my ears as I watched the retreating figure of the car till it was out of sight.

Someone I never knew before, tells me about my whole life plan. This is very strange_

She really means every word she says to you. I've told you to tread with caution_

_It's not about caution, it's about time, and purpose_ I retorted Helena's words as I understood the words of The Silver dress girl.

I remembered Ryan and his explanations.

"He definitely has to explain the mystery about this Silver dress girl" I thought to myself as I got closer to his room.

The door was locked. I knew something was definitely wrong with him.

"Ryan it's me Hailey, please open the door" I divulged hoping that he would listen to me.

"Let me be, I don't want to see you"

Someone walked behind me, I was scared at first looking for a weapon I would use to protect myself. My fears departed as I recognized the voice of Jaden as he knocked.

"Ryan, What's going on?... Fine if you don't want to tell us please just let us in. We just want to know that you're okay"

'I want to be left alone, there's no need to bother about me. I'll be fine" I could hear Ryan's groaning. I knew something was definitely happening to Ryan.

I quickly asked Jaden

"Do you have a pin?"

"What do need a pin for?" He turned to look at me, I saw the shining pin he placed on his pocket. I hastily removed it,

_Ride's lessons would be worth a try. Get a pin, make sure it has a sharp curve, put it into the lock. Make sure you count the locks of the door. Using the pin to pull all the locks to the left side, Ride's words really helped me as I opened the door, Ryan was scared as the door flung open.

"Who's that? How did you open the door?" He asked, holding a lamp in his hand.

"It's me Hailey," I affirmed in a low voice.

"How did you open that door?"

Jaden chimed in

"Can we come in?... Fine it's Hailey that opened the door.

"Shut the door behind you" Ryan sighed as he sat in his bed.

I felt so happy that he allowed us into his room, I felt the sudden warmness of his room and absolutely the neatness that always intrigued me.

"I told you I want to be alone but I guess you two love birds found a way into my room without a spare key" Ryan scoffed

"I saw the way your countenance changed the moment you saw that girl dressed in a silver dress. It seems you have a deep connection with her, and based on the scenario I saw, you hate her so much"
