Keeper Of The Flame

Chapter 71; She Doesn't Know It Yet But She Is Mine

I walked out of her RV and into the club. Stubborn ass woman. As I walked into the club I saw her sisters look at me and say.

"She threw you out, didn't she?"

" What do you think?"

" Your sister is one stubborn ass woman."

" We know. We are all the same."

" Well, I feel sorry for my VP and enforcer. I promise to stay well away from Jessie."

"Wait for what?"

" I tried to talk to her. Didn't work. I know when I am not wanted and she made that loud and clear. She even pointed a gun at me."

" So, if there happens to be a miracle and she decides she wants to talk to me she will have to make the next move. I won't go near that rattlesnake again."

"Well shit."

" They are both stubborn as hell."

" I don't need a woman who has that much of an attitude. I can find a woman anywhere. But she made it plain she was not interested in me so be it."

I walked over and sat at the VIP table.

"Woman problems" Ace asked me?

"Your sister Jessie."

" Good luck with that one."

" Don't need it. I don't have to be told twice to stay away."

"I only make the first move once. Now it is up to her. I won't chase after her."

" Good for you. Make her come to you."

" Like that is ever going to happen. Your sister can be very stubborn."

" I can be even more stubborn. I don't need someone like her. She doesn't want to talk to me or get to know that is fine with me."

We turned and watched as Jessie walked into the club. She had a cut off shirt, jean's with knee-high boots, and her hair hanging down her back. I picked up my drink and turned my back to her. Two can play this game.

"How would you like to go to a club downtown?"

" Why do you ask?"

"Because I think that is where Rain and Jessie are headed."

"Let's go before they do."

" I don't want her to accuse me of stalking her."

We stood up and walked out of the club and got on our bikes. We rode to the River's Edge where we walked in and put our money on the empty pool table. A band was playing and most of the people were in the other room.

Rain and I arrived at River's Edge and paid and walked in. We walked over to the bar got our beer and then walked into the next room.

We got a table near the door and close to the band. We sat and talked until they played "Wipe Out" we had everyone's heads turned toward us. Some of the bikers stood in the doorway watching us dance.

We were having a good time and were enjoying ourselves. Then a biker grabbed me and grabbed my tit. I slammed him on the floor. I thought I would be thrown out but his VP saw it. He grabbed the prospect up and dragged him from the bar. I guess he did not like the inappropriate touching.

Rain and I talked about going to the Coffee House after the bar closed. But decided not to. We looked at the clock and saw it was 1:00 in the morning. We grabbed our jackets and put them on. We were walking toward the door when the VP stopped me.

"My president would like to apologize for our prospect's behavior."

I turned and looked at the man and shrugged my shoulders.

"Rain and I walked to the table and the president apologized for how the prospect grabbed me."

" Mam, it will never happen again."

I shook his hand and he asked "what our names were."

" I am Jessie and this is Rain."

" You look familiar."

" Ace is our brother." I said pointing over to Ace. I saw the president smile.

"We know Ace. Our clubs are allies."

" Anyway like I said don't worry about it. I can take care of myself."

"We saw that."

" I never saw a man hit the floor as fast as he did. Nice meeting you, we said turning and walking to the door."

We walked out got on our bikes and headed to Ace's club. I pulled up to the RV and Rain parked in front of the club. I got off my bike and walked in and locked the door.

I went to my room and changed into sweat pants and a tee-shirt before walking back to the kitchen and making me a sandwich and coffee. I shut the lights off and sat looking out the window. I was looking at the stars. I was also thinking about what I was going to do now that I had gotten my revenge.

I was feeling sad but happy that my sisters have found their men. I just hope that they always treat them right. My love life sucked. I couldn't get a man to want me and stay with me. Roxie doesn't understand why I don't want another child.

I can't take the chance of losing another one that's why. It hurts too much. And I just can't do it. I felt tears slide down my face. I was supposed to be happy. To grow old with him, have more kids not be thrown away like trash.

Not to be raped and beaten, cut, and kicked then left for dead. My daughter was not supposed to be rapped at a few months old, ripped open and her head bashed in but she did. Men just can't be trusted.
