What do I know about The O.T.H.E.R.S? A fair bit more than Kay, I’d venture to say. I’ll let you in on a bit of information that you can tell Kay; if you can find her.

Io has over 400 active volcanoes, lakes of magma, and is the most geologically active planet in the solar system. All of the activity on Io is thought to be caused by tidal heating. Io’s interior is pulled between Jupiter and other Jovian moons, thus resulting in a vast coating of sulfur and sulfur dioxide frost across the planet. NASA can’t land on Io, nor would they ever think to consider that any kind of life would be present on such a volcanically active planet. Io is slightly larger than Earth’s moon and the same side always faces Jupiter since it’s tidal locked. It is the third largest moon of Jupiter and it is 390 million miles away from Earth.

Of course this would be the planet that plays host to The Creator, the Overlord, and the rest of their minions. It also explains why they are so hot and are wonderfully adept at killing with heat.

How long would it take a being to get to Io from Earth? It would take approximately 800 years traveling at 60 mph. I imagine the Overlord has a vehicle that travels much faster than that, unless he’s flying through space. I said I knew about the planet, not the inhabitants. Don’t judge me!

Based on what we know, and assuming the Overlord can travel at the speed of sound, it will take approximately 300 years to reach Io. He will then need to request an emergency audience with The Creator, present him with Kay’s petition, and travel 300 years back to give the news to Kay and pick up his minions.

We’re looking at 600 years of waiting. Kay will be dead long before the Overlord returns with any news. Over 20 generations will have come and gone before anyone knows anything of import.

Kay has plans to get married and have children. She’s always wanted a family. She knows that she wants at least two kids. She doesn’t know where the Overlord is going, or how long it will take, but she wants to live her life to the fullest. Live every day as if it were her last because it just might be. She plans on telling her children about the Overlord before she dies. They will have grown up hearing about him/it so hopefully they will believe her warnings. She will tell them to pass the information on for as many generations as it takes or until humanity is burned to bits because The Creator decided to follow through with his plan. As long as they pass on the information, and tell the story of Kay and The O.T.H.E.R.S then maybe they stand a chance when the time comes.

In the meantime, the human race will continue to die from the numerous Covid mutations and they will continue to go to war. What happens when The Creator finds out about the conflict going on between Russia and the Ukraine, the senseless murders that occur daily all across the world, the racism that continues to span generations, and the overall mistreatment of Earth and its inhabitants? Will The Creator wait for a report to reach him or will he (she/they/it? ) simply send more minions and destroy the human race as planned?

I guess we’ll have to wait and find out.
