Inner Woman

Chapter Sunset

The day fades away

In bright crimson sway

Hurt and triumph play

Equal through this day

What should I let go?

What should I keep?

Each night is as though

I climbed a mountain steep

When the sun goes down

I swear I will not frown

For tomorrow comes

Life still thrums

The longer that I live

The more I can give

The cycle of endless time

Will give me sweet rhyme

Gold, orange, purple red

Before I go to bed

Hope blossoms like the moon

Renewal awaits so soon

Sunset promises me

I’ll be strong and free

After all that pierced my soul

My dreams are still my goal
