I'm Your Sister, Brother Chow

Chapter 5: Vivian Looks Very Uncomfortable

"How much did he love her that he would change so much for her?" Vivian thought.

She silently placed a piece of tofu into her mouth. Suddenly, her entire body tensed up and she shuddered hard.

Chow was touching her thigh under the dining table.

Vivian gasped softly and looked into his eyes in panic.

Chow was also staring at her with a twisted smile on his lips. "What's wrong? Vivian, is Aunt Blaine's cooking not to your liking?"

His words successfully attracted Celine's attention. Celine also turned to at Vivian.

Seeing Vivian's flushed face, she couldn't help frowning. She put her hand on Vivian's forehead. "Why is your face so red?" she asked. "Did you catch a cold because of the bad weather today?" When Celine's hand touched her, Chow's toes nudged against her feet again, which made Vivian tremble all over. She let out a soft grunt. "Hey!"

As soon as she'd realised what she did, Vivian looked at Celine's puzzled eyes in panic.

"Vivian, are you feeling unwell?" Celine asked and turned her gaze to look at Chow. "Chow, I think Vivian looks very uncomfortable. Should we ask Dr. Duncan to take a look at her?" Chow's thin lips curled into a nasty smile. "Celine, you still don't understand her enough. She's uncomfortable because she was late and rushed too quickly just now. Aren't I right, Vivian?" As he asked, he looked deeply into Vivian's eyes.

Vivian forced herself to stop trembling and nodded softly. "Yes. I-I'm fine, Sister Celine."

A hint of suspicion flashed in Celine's eyes. They darted between Chow and Vivian several times before Celine finally sat back down. "Alright, then. Let's eat."

On the surface, it seemed like everything was perfectly normal. But why was there a faint uneasiness in her heart?

She was wary of the fact that Vivian was not related to Chow by blood, but ever since learning that Chow had always treated Vivian indifferently, she felt a lot more relieved. However, every time she saw the subtle interaction between Chow and Vivian, the uneasiness would still surge in her heart.

It hadn't been easy for her to become the girlfriend of the heir to the Howard family. Now that their relationship had just stabilised, she couldn't allow for any accidents to happen. Celine bit her lower lip. She lifted her head and smiled brightly at Chow. "Chow, my mother asked me to thank you for sending her the massage chair. She really likes it." Chow raised his eyebrows and put a juicy piece of meat onto her plate. "Of course, your mother is also my mother. I have to take good care of her too," he answered casually. Celine's anxious heart relaxed when she heard him say that. The smile on her lips grew a little wider.

"But she still wants to thank you. She's now happily showing off to everyone that she has such a good son-in-law."

As she said the last word, Celine suddenly blushed and lowered her gaze shyly as if she'd just said something wrong by accident.

Only she knew the true intent behind her words, whether she had accidentally or deliberately said it out loud.

Hearing this, Chow couldn't help but chuckle. "Son-in-law? I don't remember us getting married yet. Are you in such a hurry to marry me?"
