I'm Your Sister, Brother Chow

Chapter 18: Weak Protests

Chow didn't even bother looking at her. He just walked around the car and reached out to hug Vivian's shoulder. "Come with me to the Headmaster's office." Hearing his words, Vivian was shocked.

She looked at the man with a dazed expression. "To the Headmaster's office?"

Chow glanced at her briefly. Vivian suddenly had a bad feeling about it.

Since she was adopted into the Howard family, he had made a lot of donations to her school. Even the brand-new office building in front of her was contributed by him.

This was also the reason why she was able to skip study hall regularly without getting into trouble.

Chow was the President of the Howard Group, whose number one goal was always to earn more money. She never thought that he would donate so much to the school where the person he despised so much was attending. Sometimes, Vivian really didn't know what went on in his head.

However, even if he donated the money just to mess with her more easily, she was about to graduate soon. There was no reason for Chow to see the Headmaster and bring her along.

In the past, Chow had never taken her to meet anyone from the school board before. It was puzzling why he would want her to come along with him this time.

"I have to go to class," Vivian said softly.

She didn't want to go with him, but she could only protest weakly like this.

It didn't even sound like much of a protest.

The class rep felt rather awkward and decided to head on towards the classroom. However, she still kept stealing glances at them every few steps or so, watching their every move.

Chow was used to doing whatever he wanted, not caring about what other people thought of him, but Vivian felt like she was sitting on pins and needles. She really wanted to shrug Chow's arm off but she dared not do it.

Chow didn't respond to her question. He wrapped his arm tightly around her shoulders and walked into the office building.

It was class time now. The entire office building was quiet. Vivian finally felt more at ease without the presence of other passers-by.

However, the relief didn't last for long. They soon arrived at the door to the Headmaster's office a few minutes later.

What was strange to Vivian was that the Headmaster seemed to have already known about Chow's arrival and was waiting at the door for him.

When the Headmaster saw Chow walking towards him with his arms around Vivian, he smiled so widely that his eyes turned into slits. "Mr. Howard, you're right on time. Have you had breakfast yet?"

If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, Vivian would never believe that the Headmaster, who was highly feared and respected in the school, could be such an ass-kisser.

He was finally showing his true colours.

She lowered her gaze to hide the emotions in her eyes and bowed to the Headmaster. "Hello, Headmaster Jonathan."

"Hello, Vivian. You don't have to be so formal with me," he said, responding to her with a quick smile. "Please come in, the both of you."

Vivian's studies were just average at best, so there was no reason for the Headmaster to know her name. She was just an ordinary student after all.

It was most probably because of Chow.

Vivian followed Chow to the sofa and sat down wordlessly.

Chow still had an iron grip on her. Under the eyes of the Headmaster, Vivian felt like the places wherever Chow touched her were on fire. It made her feel extremely distressed. The Headmaster noticed it but said and did nothing. Once they were both seated, he brought over two mugs of tea and handed the tea to them. "Here, have some tea."☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
