Chapter 76
Angel Leffman
I couldn't ask for more; I am the most envied man in the world. A handsome, intelligent, the owner of two automotive companies, cold, calculating, and arrogant, according to some people. I was the son of one of the richest families in society, but I barely exchanged words with them after what happened. I respect them because they are still my parents, but I prefer to keep my distance.
But those things don't define who I am. I am Angel Leffman, and I am married to the most beautiful, sensitive, loving, proud, and intelligent woman. Not to mention that she's the owner of three companies: an automotive company, a fashion company, and a technology company. All three are at their highest level. If you ask me how she can handle all of them at the same time and be a successful, powerful businesswoman, and a devoted wife and mother, I wouldn't be able to answer you, but I would like to have that strength and enthusiasm that she has every morning. "Daddy!"
I heard my beautiful flower, my little sapphire, the light in my eyes, and my headache as well. She makes my days the happiest, but she also does every crazy thing that scares me. She has the intelligence of her mother and invents new things every ten minutes, while she has a character like mine: stubborn and obstinate.
I peeked one eye open to look at her. "My little one, my sapphire, it's still early. Shouldn't you be sleeping?"
"No, the sun is out, and you have to see what I did!" She stubbornly shook her head, and I knew that she probably made a mess.
"Oh, my earthquake, what have you done this time?" I asked with a small groan.
She looks at me with that innocent, mischievous face. "It's Albert; he's making breakfast for mommy." With that, both of my eyes opened wide.
Oh no! The kitchen!
I got up and swooped my little girl in my arms while we let her mother sleep, and I went for my other earthquake.
"What are you doing there?" I asked him when I saw how the kitchen had turned into a disaster.
"Daddy! Look, I made breakfast, but there's no fire because you say that's not allowed," my champion and my warrior said. He has her mother's eyes, her drive, her modesty, and my arrogance. For their age, they are advanced, and I don't want to imagine what they'll be when they are older.
"Champion, that's very kind of you, but do you have to make such a mess for a sandwich?" I asked while massaging my head because I could already feel a headache coming.
"Mommy eats a lot since she's fat, so I made a lot of food for her."
Letty let out a gasp. "No, she's not fat, stupid! She has a snail in her belly! But, Daddy, snails don't grow that big; why does mommy's?"
When I asked God to make my children intelligent, he listened so much and gave them more.
"Let's see, my little earthquakes. First, Albert, don't say that your mother is fat because she will be sad. Letty, help your brother set the table before Mom wakes up, and I'm going to clean up this mess a little. I have already told you that mom has a baby in her belly and that you have to take good care of her." I sternly yet softly scolded them both.
"Yes, Dad." They answered in sync, like the twins that they were.
I remember when they came into the world. Sofia was showing her new collection at Lee Andrew's, and she was at her final speech when she decided to reveal to the world that she owned it, and that's when the little ones demanded to see the world. When we arrived at the hospital, my little Sapphire didn't give her mom a hard time, and two minutes later, my champion followed. The surprised faces of both me and Sofia at that moment were worthy of a photo. And why wouldn't we be shocked when the doctor told us that we would have a boy? So when my little girl was born, we were beyond surprised, but then my boy arrived, and we were complete.
The first few months gave us so much trouble that Sofia said we wouldn't have any more children, but three years later, there she was with a devilish mood, an uncontrollable appetite, and my third baby in her womb.
"Good morning," I heard her say as she entered the kitchen.
"Mommy!" Letty runs to her mother while Albert approaches the table while screaming.
"Look what I did for you, Mommy! And I did it myself! Just for you!" Albert screamed with a proud look on his face. Sofia looked at me, and I confirmed it.
She lovingly gazed at our son. "That explains the mess in the kitchen. Let's see what the boy I love most prepared for me."
Sofia tried the sandwich that had pineapples, strawberries, bananas, and blackberries, as well as the processed orange juice.
"Hmm, this is delicious." She hummed after a bite.
I smiled and shooed them away from the kitchen to finish making breakfast and serving my three treasures.
I kissed Sofia's head. "Love, good morning. Your children woke me up with this disaster, but I hope you like it."
She held my face and stared at me with a smile. "What more can I ask for? I have the love of my life as my husband, two beautiful, intelligent, and stubborn children, and another one on the way. The best four years of my life and those to come." "I am grateful that I have you by my side because you have allowed me to give you these years of happiness and for this beautiful family that you have given me."
"I love you, Angel."
"And I love you more, beautiful."
I laughed out of nowhere, and she looked at me like I was crazy. "What are you laughing at?"
"I told you I wanted you back, and look, here you are."
She laughed as well before shaking her head. "Where we are meant to be."
"Always. You are mine, and whenever it occurs to you to leave, remember that. I want you back." END
