I Refuse to Divorce!

Chapter 130

“It makes me think about the triumphant look on your face when you hold me and watch as I fall for you! You must've been thinking that I'm way too easy. All you have to do is say something sweet and I'll fall for all your lies!

“I might've loved you in the past, Mason, but it'll never happen again!” Zoe was dazed as she spoke. Her heart was aching.

Mason, on the other hand, was drained. He wasn't exactly a patient man. He played nice with her but she wasn't reciprocating.

Rubbing his forehead, he asked her, “Well, what do you want? Do you want to act as if we're strangers? Or, do you want a divorce? Let me remind you that you need Liam for your brother's case. Can you afford to leave me?”

Still burying her face in the pillow, she remained quiet.

He could just guess what was going on in her mind. She wanted a divorce so she could leave him. She'd even go so far as to avoid all manner of contact with him. After all, she burned her freaking diary. Surely, she didn't love him anymore!

However, she had a weak spot and that was none other than Noah! Mason noticed she wasn't saying anything. So, he composed himself, grabbed her shoulder, and turned her over. Her black hair was scattered across the pillow and there were signs of tears on her fair cheeks. She looked vulnerable as well as miserable.

Touching her with his lean hand, he spoke in a husky voice, “I've never thought about toying with you, Zoe. It was never my intention to ditch you, either. I let my anger go to my head and said something I shouldn't have.”

However, she wasn't interested in listening to his explanation.

He was her husband and yet he had a lover on the side. Also, he wouldn't sleep in his own house and he told another man that he wasn't done toying with her.

The trust between them had been torn down for good and there was no way to rebuild it.

Turning away from him, she said in a quivering voice, “I have no interest in your excuses!”

Mason thought he had played nice with her long enough, but it was obvious that she didn't appreciate it. So, there was no need to placate her anymore.

Turning her over, he grabbed her arms with one hand, leaned in, and closed his lips on hers.

However, why would she let him have his way with her after what she had gone through?

She fought back with everything she had, but Mason was pinning her down with his body. He even started unbuckling his belt, giving the impression that he wanted to have sex with her.

With her hair scattered across the pillow, she raised her head and looked at him. It hurt her just trying to breathe in this position. She murmured and told him that she didn’t want this.

But it didn’t matter to him because he wanted to have sex with her.

He wasn't feeling particularly aroused, but he eagerly wanted to assert his dominance now. He needed to prove that she was his wife and that her heart still belonged to him. If the opposite proved to be true, then he'd claim her body as his possession.

At that moment, even Mason knew he had gone mad.

He had never lost control of his mind the way he did now, but he didn’t have time to ponder on the underlying reasons. His mind was focused on one thing and one thing only.

He'd turn Zoe into his possession. He needed to see her losing herself in pleasure while she was beneath him, just like she did in the past. Mason was so wrapped up in the moment that he whispered in her ear, “We're going to make a baby right now!”

“No! I don't want to!”

Zoe fought back as hard as she could, her fair cheeks rubbed against the pillows as she ducked his kisses. Then, he pinched her chin, stared at her, and kissed her intensely.

He even forced her to look into his eyes, wanting her to see how he was going to suck away her sanity so she would go crazy along with him.

She was going to scream and cry, lose her sanity, and return to his side. She would love him once more!
