I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 495

Chapter 495 For Me?

Harper and Frank were both well aware of who "he" referred to.

Harper didn't answer immediately but instead asked, "Do you care if I tell him?"

Frank was momentarily taken aback, then laughed, "I've told you everything, so I don't care. I'm willing to take responsibility."

She repeated his words, "Yes, you don't care, and you're willing to take on all the consequences."

Then, she scoffed, "Frank, what you're doing is not really for my good, and it's not to seek justice for me. It's all about your own ideas. You've never asked me if I wanted to. We've been friends for so many years, and you made me face a dilemma, claiming it for my own good? Tell me, how should I choose?" Harper felt disappointed and helpless.

She didn't know how to describe how she felt, so she kept telling herself, "Stay calm, don't get excited. I shouldn't lose my cool over anything. My baby comes first." After saying this, Harper took a deep breath and stood up.

She looked down at Frank and said, "I have nothing more to say. Let it be. I'm not going to eat anything. I don't think any of us have any mood for food now."

With that, Harper turned and walked out. Frank called out to her, but she didn't stop, instead quickening her steps.

As she disappeared from his sight, Frank's expression turned cold. He stood there, gazing at the door, deep in thought.

After a while, he made a call, his voice cold. "Harper already knows everything. You can do it now."

The other person replied, and Frank's eyes narrowed, becoming craftier and more dangerous.

After hanging up, he gave a sly, cold smile, thinking, "Benjamin, you'll never be my match."

Harper was feeling low as she left Moore's Restaurant. Annie had been waiting for her and immediately approached her as she came out.

She asked, "How did it go? What did he say? Did he admit it?"

Harper shook her head, her face a bit pale.

She told Annie, "Let's get in the car first."

Annie nodded and got in the car with Harper. While waiting for Harper, she called for a driver to bring her car back to the company so she could ride with Harper.

After getting in the car, Harper asked Annie to drive.

She remained silent throughout the drive. Annie occasionally looked at her. From Harper's reactions and expressions, Annie could tell that Harper was not doing well and

guessed what Frank might

to her.

After a while, Annie parked the car outside Harper's workplace. They didn't get out, and the atmosphere in the car remained extremely quiet.

Finally, Harper spoke. "He admitted it. He did it all."

Annie had expected that answer.

She asked, "So, what are you going to do now? Will you tell Benjamin?"

Harper shook her head. "I don't know."

Harper turned to face Annie, asking, "Do you know why he did it?"

"Why?"

"He said he did all those for me. And for me, he wants to target Benjamin, make him fall into trouble, and give him a lesson." "What?"

Annie was confused, furrowing her brow and asking, "Is Frank out of his mind? He says he did all this for you? What does that mean?"
