I Love You More Cade by Coral Hume ( Nydia and Jackson) Chapter 71
Chapter 71
Nydia scoffed inwardly at the mention of rose petals. ‘Wow, Cade has a romantic side. So why come to me to vent? Was Josephine not enough for him? Jerk.
It was her last day in Mewarting City. Nydia decided to put these irksome thoughts aside.
“Alison, my treat today. Let’s go for a seafood feast.” Nydia suggested to Alison with a smile.
Alison’s eyes lit up as she nodded vigorously. “Yes, please! You’re the best, Ms. Sharp!”
Hence, they drove and followed the GPS to find the number one seafood restaurant in Mewarting City.
But upon arrival, they were stopped in their tracks.
The owner himself came out to intercept them.
Recognizing Nydia as Cade’s wife from the media, he was exceedingly polite. “Mrs. Jackson, I’m deeply sorry. Today, our restaurant has been reserved entirely by Mr. Eric Warran. Only his guests may enter.”
Before Nydia could respond, Alison jumped in. “Mr. Eric Warran? The one who uses helicopters for blood transport?”
“That’s him,” the owner replied.
“So much fanfare just for turning legal? Helicopters, exclusive bookings, as if afraid we wouldn’t notice him.” Alison’s frustration at missing out on the feast was evident as she glared at the entrance, muttering complaints.
The owner, trying to keep the peace, pleaded, “Please, keep your voice down. I wouldn’t want him to overhear.”
“So what if he does? What’s he gonna do, eat me?” Alison puffed up defiantly.
“Please, keep it down!” the owner begged, whispering, “I’d rather he ‘eats‘ me

than decide to make my life a living hell.”
“Huh?” Alison wrinkled her nose. “Is he gay?”
The owner, shocked, quickly covered Alison’s mouth. “Oh no, I meant he could make things very difficult for us. Not that!”
Alison and Nydia were both taken aback by the revelation.
“He’s been frail since childhood, a bit unique, psychologically. I hope you understand, Mrs. Jackson,” the owner explained with a sigh..
Nydia frowned helplessly. Realizing they were dealing with a notoriously difficult character, Nydia decided it wasn’t worth the trouble. “Let’s go, Alison.. We’ll find another place,” she suggested.
As they were about to leave, a loud bang erupted from inside.
“Oh no! Mr. Warran,” the owner exclaimed, scrambling towards the interior in panic.
After a brief pause, Alison grabbed Nydia, and they sprinted to their car.
Once inside the car, Nydia didn’t waste any time hitting the gas.
They drove non–stop for a good twenty minutes before finally pulling over to catch their breath.
Even then, they remained on high alert. They peered around cautiously to confirm no one was tailing them, before allowing themselves a moment of
relief.
Checking the rearview mirror, Nydia saw Alison’s face, pale and sweaty, her hair a mess. She wasn’t looking much better herself.
“You okay?” Nydia asked, turning to Alison.
After a moment of silence, they burst into laughter.
“Ms. Sharp, I never knew you could run like the wind in heels,” Alison gasped between laughs.

Nydia’s eyes crinkled. “Look who is talking. And you fumbled with the car door like it was rocket science. I practically had to throw you in!”
“What a thrill! Thank you, Eric, for an unforgettable day,” Alison said with a hint of sarcasm.
“Then why not stay in Mewarting City? Jackson Group is opening a branch here,” Nydia teased.
“Maybe that’s not such a great idea.” Alison quickly backtracked, realizing one. unforgettable day was more than enough.
After their laughter died down and hunger set in, Nydia found another promising restaurant nearby.
Upstairs in the new restaurant, Troy Miles was engaged in a discussion with a client when he noticed Nydia and Alison walking in, still laughing and
chatting. His soft smile went unnoticed by no one.
The client paused, following Troy’s gaze to the figures below. Although he only saw Nydia’s back, her curvaceous figure, especially her slender waist, was top–notch.
“So, Mr. Miles has a type,” he remarked, impressed by the silhouette of the woman Troy was watching.
“No,” Troy replied with a faint smile.
The client was confused and was about to ask when Troy stood up. “I think we’ll wrap it up here. I’ve got to run.”
“Alright then, I’ll await your good news, Mr. Miles,” the client said, rising respectfully.
Downstairs, Nydia ordered generously a hearty meal.
The ocean view from the restaurant added a serene backdrop to their meal.
As Alison poured Nydia some lemonade, Troy made his way over to them.
“What a small world.” He greeted them with a congenial smile.

Nydia, slightly taken aback, stood up. “Indeed, quite the coincidence.
Alison, a bit flustered and stuttering, managed to say, “M–Mr. Miles.”
Troy smiled at her again.
Troy’s subsequent smile sent Alison’s heart into a flutter, her cheeks burning at his proximity.
On her first day, due to the crowd, Alison had only managed a distant view of Troy, noting him as a handsome man. But now, up close, his allure was undeniable.
She thought to herself, “This is exactly the kind of mature man that women dream about.”
Troy casually sat next to Nydia, integrating smoothly into their dynamic.
“You two know each other?” Alison couldn’t help but ask, her curiosity piqued.
Nydia nodded. “Thanks to Mr. Miles, I was able to connect with Justin last time.”
“It was nothing,” Troy chimed in, his presence commanding yet serene, effortlessly captivating.
Alison’s face turned a deeper shade of red, her crush on Troy not going unnoticed.
Nydia, amused by Alison’s crush, kicked her under the table, silently teasing her to keep it together.
Alison was so shocked that she hurriedly covered her mouth with a tissue.
Troy puzzled by their behavior, looked on.
Trying to divert the attention, Nydia asked, “Have you had dinner?”
Despite having already eaten with his client, Troy, intrigued by their company, pretended otherwise. “Haven’t really, mind if I join?”
“Absolutely not,” Alison exclaimed, a little too eagerly.
Chapter 71
Nydia couldn’t help but laugh again at Alison’s enthusiasm, which caught Troy’s attention.
He asked Nydia softly, “What’s so funny?”
“Nothing,” Nydia replied, her smile widening.
To outsiders, Nydia and Troy looked like a modern–day fairytale couple; he, with a soft smile, and she, with sparkling eyes.
Alison could no longer laugh. Meanwhile, Cade, who happened to be passing by outside the window, also had a dark expression.
Nydia grabbed the menu and offered it to Troy. “Take a look and pick
whatever you fancy. Dinner’s on me tonight.”
“Sure,” Troy responded with a smile, accepting the menu from her.
That’s when Nydia’s phone vibrated.
She lowered her head and took it out. It was from Alison.
Alison’s text flashed across the screen, reading, [Ms. Sharp, I think Mr. Miles. might have a thing for you.]
Nydia couldn’t help but let out a chuckle at the suggestion, playfully retorting, [Joking about a married woman. For that, you’ll be one crab leg short at dinner.]
Alison’s message popped up, reading, [But really, who cares about crab legs when there’s a charming man in the picture?]
Nydia shot her a knowing glance and texted back. [I’ve got your number. Let’s focus on dinner for now, and afterward, I’ll hook you up with his WhatsApp.]
Alison’s eyes lit up with sheer excitement. [Ms. Sharp, you’re nothing short of a goddess. I love you!]
Just as Nydia was about to send another message, her gaze landed on a pair of expensive men’s leather shoes approaching their table.
