I Love You More Cade by Coral Hume ( Nydia and Jackson) Chapter 55

Chapter 55

Nydia spun around, her eyes piercing as she confronted Cade. “What did I do wrong this time to make you, Mr. Jackson, feel ashamed of my identity?”

Enraged by her attitude, Cade snatched the bowl from her hands and smashed it to the ground, his eyes chillingly locking onto her. “You’re my wife, yet you dare to care for mother man? Don’t you think you’re wrong?”

Nydia, filled with anger, managed to ask, “Another man? Lance?”

Cade sneered. “Isn’t he? After all, you even seduced Josephine’s father.” Lance, shocked, pointed at Cade. “What nonsense are you spouting? You can’t insult Nydia like that!”

Ignoring Lance, Cade fixed his gaze on Nydia. Normally, she would have retorted, but this time, she calmly stopped Lance and, as if nothing had happened, picked up bowl from the floor and silently walked into the washroom. Her action made him

anxious

Without hesitation, Cade followed her into the washroom, kicked the door shut, and grabbed her shoulder, demanding, “What’s with the attitude of yours? Why aren’t you fighting back?” He squeezed her shoulder so hard that she winced, holding back tears. She turned around, calmly saying. “Let’s get a divorce.”

Cade thought he misheard. “What did you say?”

Nydia pushed away his grip, repeating, “Cade, I said let’s get a divorce.” She didn’t want to wait for a lawyer; she wanted to divorce him immediately.

Cade froze for a moment, his eyes darkening. His anger surged, and he grabbed her neck, pinning her against the wall, bellowing, “Nydia, you’re asking for trouble!” His face was dark with rage, emanating a chilling aura. This was Cade, a demon who had once severed Justin’s arm with a single shot.

Nydia, forced to look up, showed no fear. “I’m doing this to help you and Josephine. What’s wrong with that?”

Cade, veins bulging on his forehead, asked, “Who are you doing this for? Bentley Wiley? Or Troy Miles?”

Nydia sneered. “Who else? Feel free to spill it.”

Cade, thrown off by her nonchalant demeanor, tightened his grip. “How much did they pay you? What promises did they make so you think following them is more.

advantageous?”

Nydia’s smile froze. She confirmed that he thought she was a woman who would do anything for fame and fortune. She suddenly stopped struggling, a sarcastic smile on her face. “Why don’t you want to divorce me? Could it be that you’ve fallen in love with me and can’t let me go?”

Cade’s eyes darkened. Then, with a look of disdain, he pushed Nydia away, sneering. “Why bother confirming this matter repeatedly? Isn’t my answer clear enough?” He once said she was dirty, shameless, just a tool for pleasure.

Nydia sat on the ground, trembling, while Lance anxiously pounded on the door.

Cade adjusted his cuff with one hand, his voice cold as he looked down at Nydia. “You broke up Josephine and me in the past, enjoying the title of ‘Mrs. Jackson‘ for five years. Now you want to leave, huh? Not a chance! I’m just giving you a taste of unrequited love. It doesn’t feel good, does it?”

Nydia felt a shiver down her spine, her nails digging into her palms.

“Divorce? Forget about it!” With that, Cade walked out.

Lance rushed forward, trying to grab Cade’s collar as he bellowed, “You jerk, what have you done to Nydia?”

Cade dodged him and walked away without looking back. Lance lost his balance and collided with the door.

“Lance!” Nydia exclaimed and rushed to his side.

Lance struggled to catch his breath, his face turning purple. Nydia, trembling, exclaimed, “Doctor! Doctor!”

Outside, Cade was extremely irritated, with Stuart cautiously following him.

“Get a doctor for him,” Cade ordered coldly. “I don’t want anyone to accuse Jackson Group of mistreating employees.”

Stuart nodded. “Yes.”

Shortly after, Lance’s situation stabilized, and Nydia thanked the doctor who had come to help. To prevent Cade from causing further trouble, she locked the door. Thankfully, Cade didn’t return.

In the afternoon, Troy called to inform Nydia that the lawyer was ready and would arrive in Creekheim the next day. After expressing her gratitude, Nydia quickly arranged the meeting time and location.

In the following hours, Nydia was in high spirits, even losing sleep that night.

Half an hour before the meeting time, Nydia was seated at the café. The lawyer, arranged by Troy, was punctual, sitting in front of Nydia just as the clock struck the appointed time.

“Should I address you as Miss Sharp or Mrs. Jackson?” the female lawyer asked with a smile.

“Miss Sharp, please.” Nydia felt uncomfortable at the mere mention of the title of “Mrs. Jackson.”

“Alright, Miss Sharp.” The female lawyer handed her business card to Nydia, saying, “My name is Tanya Cole.”

Nydia took the card. “Alright, what would you like to drink?”

“A black coffee, thank you,” Tanya said as she spread out the documents.

Nydia called the waiter and ordered a cup of black coffee and a glass of lemonade. Tanya got straight to the point, saying, “Miss Sharp, based on what I know about your husband, finding flaws in his business dealings is nearly impossible.”

Nydia glanced at the thick file in front of Tanya. She agreed with this assessment. Cade was a perfectionist at work. In less than three years under his leadership, Jackson Group had risen to the top of the global corporate rankings. Finding his flaws would indeed be a waste of time.

As the waiter brought their drinks and left, Nydia held her glass, looking serious. “So, what should we do?”

“We have to focus on public opinion.” Tanya sipped her coffee. “It may sound ordinary, but it’s the most effective approach.”

Nydia, feeling resigned, frowned. “You might not know, but in Creekheim, I don’t have the upper hand in public opinion.”

“If we don’t have the upper hand, we create it,” Tanya said calmly. “Public opinion is a fragile thing. As long as the wind is strong enough, even the mightiest tree will fall.”

Nydia was surprised by Tanya’s words, feeling a glimmer of hope. “What do I need to
