Chapter 118 

Nydia raised her head abruptly and looked at the man beside her in disbelief. 

Cade was leaning lazily on the sola, smoking a cigarette without any expression on his face. If not for the evil smile on his lips, Nydia would think that the extra foot was a ghost’s. 

Nydia knew how shameless Cade was, but she thought that with Edda here, he definitely wouldn’t mess around. 

However, not only did he not stop but even moved his foot along her calf until it reached her thigh. 

“Oh!” Nydia almost cried out in shock. 

She glared at him with a red face, warning him to pay attention to the occasion. She even quickly glanced at Bentley.

Nydia suddenly stood up. 

With a click, the wine glass was knocked over and shattered on the ground.

Bentley’s car slowly drove away in the night. 

Edda walked up to Cade. Although she was trying her best to hold on, her eyes were red and filled with grievance. “Did you agree to my invitation today to celebrate my birthday with me because of Nydia?” 

Cade glanced at her coldly. “No.”

“If it’s really because of Nydia, I hope you won’t miss her. She’s quite a nice person,” said Edda. 

“I said no,” Cade raised his voice. His brows were filled with hostility. 

Edda seemed to shrink back in fear when she heard that. 

When Cade saw her like this, he felt extremely frustrated. He knew he had lost control and shouted at someone unrelated, so he softened his tone and said coldly, “What exactly did you want to say?” 

Edda sniffled as she said softly, “You just said that our engagement is happenin you tell me? We grew up together. There’s nothing we can’t tell each other.” 

“I’m not interested in you.” Cade shifted his gaze to the direction where the car left. 

Edda secretly clenched her fists as a trace of coldness flashed across her eyes.

Edda was speechless.

Cade agreed lightly and did not stay any longer. He quickly bent down and stepped into his Rolls–Royce to leave. 

The smile on Edda’s face instantly disappeared. She looked at the man’s car coldly and clenched her fists. 

After Bentley sent Nydia home, Nydia poured him a glass of water. 

It was getting late. Nydia urged him, “Go back and rest early. You still have to wake up early for work tomorrow.” 

Bentley was stunned for a moment. He knew that he would seem too anxious if he stayed over now. Therefore, he chuckled and said, “Okay.” 

Nydia saw Bentley walk into the elevator. She was about to close the door when Cade arrived. 

It was almost the moment Bentley left. 

Alarm bells rang in Nydia’s heart. She subconsciously wanted to lock the door, but Cade moved quickly and squeezed his way in. 

“What are you doing in my house? Get out!” Nydia did not hesitate to chase him out. 

Cade turned a deaf ear and strode to the sofa to sit down. 

“Meow!” 

Dusty, who had been in low spirits for the past few days, rushed over excitedly. Then, it jumped into Cade’s arms.

and turned back. 

Seeing this, Nydia ran away. 

Cade reacted quickly. He scooped her back with his long arm to the sofa and pressed her down. 

Nydia was shocked and furious. She pressed her hand against his chest desperately. “Cade, we’re no longer husband and wife. If you dare to touch me, I’ll call the police immediately!” 

Cade turned a deaf ear. 

Nydia almost cried from the pain. 

Nydia raised her hand to slap him, but her hand was imprisoned above her head by him.

Cade swallowed all her words that were scolding him.
