I Died They Regretted It by Karen

Chapter CHAPTER 7

Part 7

Part 7

At the moment they escorted me in, my fantasies about love and family turned into hatred towards them.

When the people inside asked why I was there, I remained silent. So, I became a target, initially facing only verbal attacks. Later, the leader among the inmates led the isolation against me, making me sleep on the floor at night and feeding me only leftovers. I couldn’t bear it anymore, crazy people were very scary.

They outnumbered me and my individual strength was no match for theirs. They grabbed my scalp, forcefully pushing me against the wall as a stern warning. Eventually, the prison guards isolated me in solitary confinement.

Days passed in a haze of confusion and despair, compounded by the betrayal of both love and family and the relentless torment endured by body and soul.

Terrifying thoughts swirled in my mind, with the fear of being executed ahead of schedule. My consciousness slipped away and the chaotic noise around me was the last sensation I felt. Despite us all being sentenced, they still managed to save me.

My body was covered in tubes and the only sound in the hospital room was the beeping of machines. In the quiet space, I heard the clicking of high heels. With great

t, I opened my eyes to see Karen standing before me, immaculately dressed, a K contrast to my current state.

Seeing me awake, she began taunting, “Alice, don’t blame me for this. It was your brother and Axel who made you take the fall for me. I never said a word from beginning to end.”

I paid no attention to her, simply lifting my eyelids weakly. Misinterpreting my silence as a reaction to her words, she continued, “Do you really think my hand was truly broken back then? You see, I can still play the violin.” With that, she sat before me and started playing my tune.

I stared at her wide–eyed, attempting to speak. Seeing my expression, Karen chuckled. “I bribed that doctor too. Who told you to talk better than me? The teacher only favors you. As long as you’re around, I’ll never stand a chance at winning any awards. If you want to blame someone, blame yourself for blocking my path, don’t blame me. I just used a little trick and they trusted me easily. Encountering these two licking dogs, you can only consider yourself unlucky.”

After that, she laughed and left as a winner. I stared at her back, but I couldn’t speak. I could only look at her with tears in my eyes.
