I Died in The Deep Sea for My Sister's Dream Novel by Summer Firefly

Chapter 12

The icy words laced with murderous intent made my Mom struggle frantically.

Her eyes were filled with deep fear, yet she was trapped, confined within this small space, unable to escape.

I watched them silently, yearning to call the police.

No matter who survived this room, they would carry a life on their hands. More importantly, Eric was clearly out of his mind at this moment.

“My heart has always belonged to Aria! You used this wretched girl to manipulate me, trying to take away the wealth we worked so hard for!”

Eric’s voice was calm yet emphasized, his words dripping with contempt.

I couldn’t fathom the chaos swirling in his mind, forming a twisted rationale.

Yet his crimson eyes showed no fear in the face of bloodshed.

He was exhilarated, quivering with excitement!

“I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you!”

With a vicious thrust, the knife plunged in, and in that moment of agony, my Mom’s eyes were filled with resentment and terror, concluding her life in this unending fear.

I couldn’t tell if Eric had ever felt remorse for his actions, but one thing was clear: Eric must face justice!

Perhaps it was this lingering desire that finally compelled me to reach for the phone nearby.

Eric was in the kitchen chopping meat, the loud noise drowning out the sounds of conversation outside. I whispered everything that had happened here to the police.

As the sirens approached, Eric froze like a hunted animal. He glanced at the gruesome remains on the floor and immediately bolted out the window!

I didn’t seek revenge for the deceased Mom and my sister; I simply believed that everyone should pay the price for their actions.

If Evie hadn’t suddenly lo her mind, perhaps at this moment, Eric would have been happily together with her!

Only Eric was left alive, and my soul naturally followed him as he hid among the towering buildings, turning over countless times.

He was simply evading capture.

“Aria, don’t worry. I will definitely take your home,” he said softly, clutching a can of baby formula. His veins bulged on the back of his hand as if he had found some strength, making a solemn promise.

But this late attempt to appease me only made me feel utterly disgusted! I didn’t care for it!

He ran like a wild animal, evading capture for nearly a month, yet he had nowhere left to run!

On the spacious balcony, surrounded by well–prepared police officers, their eyes gleamed with faint hostility.

I didn’t know who pulled the trigger, but Eric’s body fell with a thunderous crash. He staggered forward, confusion etched on his face.

“I never managed to bring you home after all…”

Perhaps it wasn’t about taking me home; it was merely to satisfy his own selfish desires.

The company was left in the hands of just the two of us, and I was already dead. If he could escape, he would rightfully seize control of all the shares!

He took a few slow steps forward, but suddenly his foot slipped, and his body plummeted like a kite with a severed string, falling into the abyss.

The baby formula he had clutched tightly. burst open, a flurry of white cascading down, resembling an elegy for this world.

The merciless sea swallowed his life, a fitting fate for one who had betrayed true affection, destined to drift and suffer!

Meanwhile, it felt as if my body was slowly rising into the heavens. I thought to myself that it was time for me to find my own place of belonging.
