I Become A CEO After Divorce

Chapter 3 An Insignificant Person

Yanis turned around half-heartedly to look over when she heard the words, "Yeah, got a license." Neve stood beside Yanis and looked at her, "When are you going to check in?"

Yanis withdrew her eyes and watched the TV program while asking, "Is Miss Bennett in a hurry?"

Neve had the right smile on her face, "I'm not in a hurry, but Zane is, so I thought I'd ask Miss Thompson when she's free to sign the papers."

At that, Yanis took the remote control and put the TV on pause before turning her face back to Neve, her tone polite and distant, "Miss Bennett, what did you say, I didn't hear you, repeat it?"

Neve met Yanis' gaze and curled his lips in a smile, "Miss Thompson, I know you like Zane and don't want to leave Zane, but Zane doesn't like you, you've been with him for five years and haven't been able to get him to move on you, so, Miss Thompson, it's time for you to let go."

Yanis got up and stood up, walked around the couch and walked up to Neve, "Miss Bennett thinks too much, I do like Zane, but only ever, not to this day, you want it, then I will give it back to you." With that Yanis walked past Neve and headed upstairs.

The expression on Yanis' face changed only when he turned his back on Neve.

She can be a wreck in front of Zane, or humble to the dust, but in front of Neve, she doesn't want to lose even her last dignity.

Yanis went upstairs and coincidentally bumped into Zane just as he was getting dressed.

Both men's steps were a beat.

Yanis opened his mouth first, "I just spilled water on my body from drinking, so I'll change my clothes."

Zane's eyes swept over her and didn't say anything, "I'll meet you downstairs."

Yanis hmmm, lifted her foot and went into a side room.

Downstairs, Neve got up and greeted Zane as he saw him coming down, "Zane." Zane responded, "When she's done changing, we'll go to the Lawrence's Manson." Neve nodded, then asked softly, "Zane, does Miss Thompson not like me very much?"

Zane looks to Neve.

"I was going to say hello to her, but just as I opened my mouth, she suddenly got up and left." Neve's tone was laced with a bit of aggravation.

Zane slightly wrinkled his eyebrows, his voice was bland, not distinguishing between happiness and anger, "Don't pay attention to her, she's always like that."

Neve took Zane's arm, "Zane, do you know her well?"

Do you understand?

He really doesn't know Yanis at all.

What she likes and what she doesn't like.

Or some other things that he never paid attention to.

And it's as if Yanis knows him better than he knows Yanis.

What he likes, what he doesn't like, his every habit and habit, she knows it all.

"Zane?" Neve saw Zane wandering off and called out to him softly.

Zane retracted his thoughts and looked to Neve, "There's no need to understand."

This is what Yanis heard when she changed her clothes and came down from upstairs.

No need to know anything?

It's probably because she cared so much before that she would habitually interpret anything Zane said.

Just as she was habitually thinking about what Zane meant by that statement.

Neve's voice had already sounded, "So, I thought you had been with Miss Thompson for five years and knew her a little."

Zane was standing with his back to Yanis, so he didn't notice Yanis coming down the stairs.

"An irrelevant person, there is no need to waste time to understand."

Irrelevant people only.

It turns out that she has always been an insignificant person in his heart.......

Yanis still feels a little choked up when she hears such words, even though she has practiced to be invulnerable to swords and spears.

Compared to the old days when she took enough time to digest her emotions, Yanis is now learning to adjust her emotions as quickly as possible, no matter what kind of chilling words she hears. She came downstairs and stood at the top of the stairs, looking to the two men standing in the living room, "I'm ready to go?"

Zane frowned almost subconsciously when he heard the voice behind him.

Turning to look at Yanis who was standing at the stairway at some point.

She changed into a beige dress, plus stepped on similarly colored high heels, which trimmed her already delicate figure even more so that people couldn't take their eyes off it.

This Yanis, too, has some kind of unquenchable allure for Zane.

So when he saw Yanis, Zane's eyes were not as warm as before.

Neve, noticing the change in Zane's eyes, took Zane's hand a little harder, "Zane, do I really have to go too? I'm afraid Grandma will be unhappy if she sees me."

Neve's words brought back Zane's attention, and he looked sideways at her and said softly, "No, what I like, Grandma will like."

With these words, Zane lifted his arm around Neve and walked outside with his feet up.

As he passed Yanis, Zane looked at her, but said nothing and walked right past her.

Yanis lags one step behind the two and follows behind.

When they went out together, whenever Zane drove, she would sit in the passenger seat.

But now with Neve, Yanis didn't go looking for boredom and consciously reached out to open the back seat door.

"Yanis ."

Just as Yanis was about to bend over and get into the back seat, Zane suddenly called out to her.

Yanis looked over at the sound of his voice, "What's wrong?"

"Sit in the front."

Yanis subconsciously looked at Neve, who was standing beside Zane, after hearing Zane's words.

"Neve, she's not used to sitting in the front."

So it's because she's not used to it......

Yanis didn't say anything, lifted his feet to the passenger side, opened the door and bent down to sit inside.

Zane then helped Neve into the back seat before moving around to the side and getting into the cab.

The car started and Yanis raised her hand to fasten her seat belt.

"There are more people going tonight, so pay attention." As the car was driving, Zane spoke up.

Yanis responded in a soft voice, "Got it."

"You didn't prepare anything today?" Zane asked, turning his face to her.

Yanis met his gaze, "Do I have to get ready? I thought I didn't have to."

Zane wrinkled his eyebrows after hearing Yanis' answer, and the words that came out were still chilling, "That's true, you won't be needed in the future."

Such a statement is like something that has been used for a long time and suddenly does not want to use it anymore and throw it away.

If it was before, Yanis might have ignored it, but today she suddenly had a backbone and her tone was mixed with cynicism, "Yes, I don't need it anymore, but what shocked me was that Mr. Lawrence would bring his wife and lover to a family dinner at the same time."
