Chapter 362
Chapter 362 Meeting Jennifer In Horington
“He is the result of a mistake I made during my younger days. I blame alcohol for what happened,” Tristan explained.
Ignatius was utterly shocked when he heard that.
“Remember how your mother died of dystocia? Well, his mother had a lot to do with it,” Tristan said.
Ignatius' eyes were instantly filled with hatred.
“You wouldn't blame me for what happened, would you?” Tristan asked.
Ignatius quickly lowered his gaze. “I wouldn't dare!”
Tristan frowned slightly as he said, “We're father and son, so that shouldn't even be an issue anyway. Besides, you know I have
only cared about you and your mother.”
Ignatius took a deep breath to calm himself down. “There's no point in talking about past events now. Still, why are you suddenly
telling me about this, Father? Did something happen?”
“Yes, that's right. I killed his mother back then, but I couldn't kill him because he has my blood running through his veins. Do you
understand what I mean?” Tristan replied.
Ignatius nodded. “While I do hate him for indirectly causing Mother's death, he didn't actually do anything wrong. I wouldn't want
you to kill him either.”
“Problem is, he hates me for killing his mother,” Tristan said.
Ignatius shuddered as he asked, “Is he powerful enough to pose a threat to you, Father?”
Tristan let out a chuckle. “Nonsense! No one in this world is able to pose a threat to me!”
Ignatius breathed a sigh of relief when he heard that.
“However, I have realized that he is the strongest Chosen One. You are a Chosen One too, but things are different for you. I
have a feeling he will become my greatest demonic tribulation.”
“If you can't kill him, then I'll do it for your sake. I don't care what happens to me as a result,” Ignatius said with a murderous glint
in his eyes.
“You can't kill him either, Ignatius.”
“Huh? Why not?”
“The fact that you want to kill him shows that you have fear in your heart. A man with fear in his heart can never achieve Ultimate
Path.”
Ignatius froze and went silent.
“So what if he is a demonic tribulation? Every catastrophe is also an opportunity. Just as the lightning tribulation is a matter of life
and death for a primordial spirit, a demonic tribulation is also a huge opportunity for us,” Tristan continued.
“What do you mean, Father?”
“Now that we know that b*stard is a demonic tribulation, we can't just sit by and let him grow stronger. That would be no different
from suicide. Go get ready.”
Ignatius was quick to catch on. “What do you need me to do, Father?”
“The Great Tribulation will lead to lots of demonic creatures roaming the world. Since that b*stard is a Chosen One, he is bound
to gain some allies out of this. Those who do not have justice on their side will receive little to no help from others. As such, I
want you to make an official entrance,” Tristan said.
Ignatius nodded. “Understood, Father.”
“I have spoken to Divine Emperor's primordial spirit about this. He has agreed to let you into Divine Realm. Once you're there,
you will be promoted to master and be given access to everything in Divine Realm. It will be your greatest resource,” Tristan
continued.
“Divine Emperor should know that we are his biggest threats, so why would he allow me into Divine Realm?” Ignatius asked.
“It's simple, really. Just as that b*stard is our demonic tribulation, we're Divine Emperor's demonic tribulation too. Hence, he
doesn't fear us at all.”
The next day, Jonathan gave Kale some money and left Ironwell.
Vernon didn't want to leave as he had gotten used to the peace and quiet of the village.
Jonathan decided to respect his decision instead of persuading him to leave.
“Remember to come back and pay your respects to your mother every year. Don't forget that even when you have a wife and
kids,” Vernon reminded him.
Jonathan nodded. “I will.”
“I look forward to the day you make Tristan apologize to your mother on his knees,” Vernon added.
“Oh, it will definitely happen,” Jonathan promised with a determined look in his eyes.
He and Mabel then left Ironwell shortly after that.
It was eight in the morning when they arrived back in Yaleview.
Seeing the city being bathed in the warm glow of the morning sun caused Jonathan to miss home all of a sudden.
After saying goodbye to Mabel, he headed straight to the Harrington mansion.
It took him about an hour to get there.
As usual, Yareth was very happy to see Jonathan.
The two chatted for a bit before Jonathan went to pay Catherine a visit.
Catherine and Aaliyah were having a sweet moment together when Jonathan showed up.
“Uncle!” Aaliyah cried out happily the moment she saw him.
Despite how calm Catherine looked on the outside, Jonathan was able to clearly see the joy in her eyes.
He could tell that she was happy to see him.
Catherine never had to worry about Jonathan even though he spent most of his time away from her. She loved him, and she
knew that he would always come back home no matter what.
After all, this house was his home and his strongest source of support.
Jonathan spent the rest of the day keeping Catherine company.
Later that night, Catherine was snuggling up comfortably in Jonathan's arms.
Jonathan was surprised when he noticed that Catherine had reached Celestial Soul.
When he asked her how she did it, however, her reply left him feeling shocked and dumbfounded.
“I'm not sure. It just happened.”
Jonathan froze for a few seconds before deciding to accept her answer for what it was. After all, Catherine had always been a
carefree and happy-go-lucky person.
“Catherine, I found my parents,” Jonathan said after a brief pause.
Since Catherine was his wife, he felt a need to tell her about it.
Although Catherine was a little shocked by what she heard, she also noticed that Jonathan didn't seem all that happy about his
findings. Holding his hand, she asked, “Why aren't you happy, then? Did something happen?”
Jonathan told her all about the history of his parents, shocking Catherine to the core with the sheer cruelty and brutality of their
past.
Catherine couldn't believe such a horrible thing had happened to Jonathan.
She hugged him tightly in an attempt to comfort him.
After spending three days in the Harrington mansion, Jonathan headed over to Horington as he wanted to see Jennifer.
The weather in Horington was bright and sunny as usual when Jonathan's flight landed at five in the evening.
He then went straight to the horror-themed bar without informing Jennifer beforehand.
The horror-themed bar was open for business, so there were quite a number of customers there at the time.
Jonathan spotted Jennifer at the bar the moment he entered the building.
He even caught a whiff of her perfume before he got close to her.
Jennifer's eyes lit up when she saw Jonathan show up out of the blue.
Jonathan spent the next three days in Horington before leaving.
He didn't tell Jennifer about his problems as he believed an ordinary person like herself couldn't help him with them. Not only
would telling her not do him any good, but it would also cause her unnecessary stress.
While seeing Jonathan off at the airport, Jennifer hugged him when he was about to board his flight.
Her figure was as sexy and alluring as always. “Would you blame me if I got pregnant with your child?” she asked shyly.
“No, I would be very happy,” Jonathan replied after a brief pause.
Jennifer let out a sigh of relief and gave Jonathan a bold kiss before leaving.
Jonathan didn't actually want to have kids because he felt he was a total mess, but he didn't want to upset Jennifer either.
Besides, he also needed to have lots of children in order to get his mother a tombstone for her grave.
Before heading back to Yaleview, Jonathan gave Simon a call and told him about his plans.
Having achieved Celestial Soul as well, Simon expressed his support for Jonathan's plans after hearing what he said.
“This is a serious matter, Jon. I don't think we can discuss this thoroughly over the phone. Since I'm free lately, I'll give Lesley
and Elijah a call. We'll all meet up in Yaleview and talk about this, okay?”
Jonathan was quick to agree with his suggestion. “All right, Simon. I'll be waiting for you guys in Yaleview.”
As Jonathan wanted to focus on his career, he did not head over to the Harrington mansion after returning to Yaleview this time.
Catherine understood his situation, so she supported his decision when he told her about it over the phone.
“Just let me know if you need any help,” Catherine said.
“Sure thing!” Jonathan replied.
He then went to see Jennifer and took his lust out on her.
The reason he chose not to do it with Catherine was because she wasn't interested in such things.
Of course, that did not mean Jonathan had no respect for Catherine.
Catherine needed his care and trust, so Jonathan told her all about his troubles. As for Jennifer, he didn't tell her any of that in
order to protect her.
When faced with people with different needs, it was only natural for him to use different methods to satisfy them.
